  1. Depending on how highly you value slayer exp they can be worth using for all slayer tasks. I don't remember the math or care to do it right now, but it's essentially boosting your average level from 122.5 to 125 assuming you repot every 5 minutes with extremes. Gets more annoying and complicated to calculate if you use berserker prayer. But yeah, there are undoubtedly people rich enough to reasonably value slayer experience highly enough to overload every task all the time. One of those guys with 200m herb exp, for example.
  2. For a trio I'd think unholy book/EEKS? BSS would do essentially nothing, and DFS is definitely superior to it defensively (+10 mage def). Unholy book would also solve the Zammy item problem, and in that big a team I don't really see the lack of defense pushing you over just using a unicorn and EEE for healing. In a solo I can stay an hour on 2-3 brew, food drops, and soul splitting minions; Arma really doesn't do much damage. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys would be better off using void with deflector and ACP, now that I think about it. She'd go down fast at that point, and three people is REALLY easy to survive.

DO: break plate for rapier. DON'T: make yourself fractite armor every floor, or ever.
  4. It better not be. It's the only place in the game to do dangerous PvP without level restrictions, and there's a big sign on it to that effect when you try to enter. Idiots walking in regardless of the warning doesn't negate the legitimate uses of dangerous Clan Wars. At most there should be a message of the week about the dangers of going to dangerous places.
  5. It's not about efficient training, it's about fast training. Demonic thrones aren't efficient, but they'll sure as hell win a construction war. A level 80 miner mining at max efficiency will lose to a 99 miner who isn't really trying. Fastest /= most efficient.
  6. It's both. When a skill war happens, each clan chooses a skill they feel they can do well in, and there's a skill of the week. There are a LOT of skills that involve seeing which clan will spend the most money to win, notable among them herblore and construction. Then there's the which clan has more 99/120s skills, like dungeoneering, mining, woodcutting, etc. The whole thing seems pretty silly to me- no skill besides dungeoneering takes enough real strategy or thought to be an interesting competition, and you aren't competitive in dungeoneering unless you're 120 and have your top floors open. Every other skill is a mix of spending cash and trying to pull off pixel perfect clicking for an hour in a skill you've already maxed.
  7. OH. OH. Ooops. Yeah okay that's just a really terrible exp rate compared to what he'd get dropmining, plus a lot of wasted clicking to get to the bank when he could be sitting at the rock. Like 40k/hour less than he should be getting, counting the horn.
  8. Why him and not Golvellius? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????????????????????????
  9. You made a mistake somewhere- I can guarantee you didn't get 130k/hour.
  10. That was an incredible floor considering you needed me for 90% of the skill doors. Looking forward to seeing you break 20:00, shouldn't be long.
  11. EXCELLENT floor layouts that allow the keyer to keep moving constantly instead of having to help with GDs. I've only gotten it once that I can remember, but it was my fastest ever floor.
  12. Think of it this way- you get one claw drop every 250 kills, and that's 20.6M. That means 82.4k per kill just from claw drops. Figure in armor pieces and general rune drops and that's gotta be at least 110k per kill average, to say nothing of effigies. If you can spend 220k more per hour to just kill 2 more demons, you're breaking even. Karil's doesn't cost very much (probably around 150k per hour) and will almost certainly get you more than an extra 2 kills an hour over broads, so it's worth it.
  13. They're completely different in use, so just decide which one you actually want to use. Without vengeance I'm not even sure what you'd do with Lunars- are you sure you have a use lined up for it? If not and you do want ancients for PKing or whatever, definitely put your time toward unlocking ancients. It's also possible you wouldn't use either of them- I very rarely switch off of moderns and I'm 99 magic.
  14. It's because they hate JUSTICE. And also they just like watching us work for hours to discover things they could have told us up front.
  15. Did you seriously just key a 24 minute floor at 76 dungeoneering AND steal berserker from Bemis and everyone else? Damn, dude, you're a prodigy. You should post on Grimy's blog to get a medal
  16. Since my broader goal is to max everything, I don't really see a reason to focus on something that isn't actually going to help. After I'm done knocking out things that need to go up like Mining and Runecrafting for effigy opening, I'll move on to the less vital skills like thieving and hunter. Dungeoneering, of course, is the exception because I enjoy that.
  17. I bet they botted their straight A's.
  18. Woodcutting is excellent for your purposes. You just have to click a new ivy occasionally.
  19. Thanks for support :) Re: hunter, I just don't like it. The skills I 99 tend to be either enjoyable to me, easy to do without paying attention, or useful in some way- training speed figures in very little or not at all. Hunter beyond its current level is none of these things, so it won't be getting much attention until I at least have all the useful levels done. You're right that it's very fast, though, and for that I am thankful. By BA do you mean Barb Assault, like horns? If so, nah bro. I used to use them, but really it's just too much of a pain to find a team. And, all too often, you find a team and then the healer or defender screws everything up and you have to leave and find a team again. If it were enjoyable that'd be one thing, but it's just frustrating to me and I don't find it to be particularly time effective either.
  20. Hello this is a blog about me maxing my total level so that I can go to the high level forum and yell at Jagex people with all the other nolifers. Currently 2446/2496 Total Level Skills I have already finished: [hide]Attack Strength Defence Constitution Ranged Magic Prayer Cooking Woodcutting Fletching Crafting Smithing Herblore Slayer Farming Summoning[/hide] Skills I have not finished and what I plan to do about it: Dungeoneering- Currently 106 [hide]Using Dong Sweepers to 120. Good times. This is one of my primary goals[/hide] Fishing- Currently 97 [hide]Every time I need to reset for Dungeoneering, I do C2s for my low floors and gain in the realm of 200k fishing exp. I also sometimes AFK rocktails while I watch a movie or something, and it's an effigy opener skill. These things will eventually get me 99 without actually focusing on fishing, so this is a backburner goal.[/hide] Firemaking- Currently 95 [hide]I'm going to get this with magic logs with some of next bonus xp weekend, since this is pretty much my last skill that can get a big boost out of the bonus xp. On hold until then.[/hide] Mining- Currently 92 [hide]My lowest skill, and one of the few that can still cheat me out of doors in dungeons. I am slowly working this toward level 96 so that I can use normal dwarven stout to open all effigies, since its pair, smithing, is maxed. 94 is also a major goal to max it for Dungeoneering purposes. My strategy is powerdropping in LRC with lava titan, urns, and juju mining pots.[/hide] Agility- Currently 94 [hide]This one's on the backburner. Since I don't need it any higher for anything, I'm eyeing this to see if it might become easier to train while I max other skills. When I do train it I just run the Barb advanced course, but most of the maxing for this skill will probably be from effigy lamps and penguin points after I get ~95 Runecrafting.[/hide] Thieving- Currently 95 [hide]Another backburner skill; leveling it has no benefit. Will get some more attention after Mining is as high as I want it. I don't train it often, but when I do, I prefer monkey knife fighters.[/hide] Runecrafting- Currently 93 [hide]This is my primary skill for assisting, effigy lamps, penguin points, and other sources of free exp. I'm racing to get it to a level at which I can reasonably find people to assist for, since 93 is often hard to find. After I can reliably assist it every day, I'll switch over to using free exp on agility. I also want it to 94 in order to have it maxed dungeoneering-wise. Currently my main methods of training are cave crawlers and tormented demons. Seriously who crafts runes anymore?[/hide] Hunter- Currently 93 [hide]In the immediate future I want it to 94 for Dungeoneering, but since hunter doors are relatively rare compared to others like mining and runecrafting, that will come after those two. After that, it will just be a grind to 99. I don't like hunter much, but at least it is fast. Draconic Jadinkos with Zamorak's favour all the way. If I run out of juju mining potions that will be a good excuse to train hunter to get more samaden seeds.[/hide] Construction- Currently 97 [hide]I currently assist this whenever I can't find anyone for Runecrafting, and after that's 99 it will become my only assistable skill and 99 from that. I never plan to build anything for exp again. This is almost certainly my least favorite skill to train; the hours of Construction I did last bonus xp weekend will leave a scar on me for years to come.[/hide] Goals not related to skilling: Get a Hexhunter bow Beat my old fastest keying record- currently 20:33 Occult with 0 deaths Get full Torva and Pernix armor Get a green partyhat without selling stuff I use like my divine Stuff I have accomplished since starting the blog: 105-106 DG
  21. Yeah, or Karil's. With a whip, though, wielding a ddef can really help. Either setup will be a lot better than broad bolts though. Like the poster above me said, killing demons slower just means spending more prayer potions per kill, which isn't helpful.
  22. [sarcasm]groan... I haven't heard that joke before... [/sarcasm] You forgot to open your sarcasm tag. Fixed for you :) You put a stray = in there, fix'd.
  23. Use rune bolts. Seriously, don't be stupid.
  24. Not really, it takes too long to heal. Guthans never does anything but slow you down.
