Help for quests. Should you use them?
My rule is, I just look at the items required section and bring them with me. I feel like having to run to the GE mid quest is not a challenge I am avoiding, but a stupid distraction from the actual quest that should not happen. Then I will figure out the quest on my own unless it gets ridiculous (like the light puzzle in MEP2. I would NEVER have figured that out on my own).

Being a High Level-Really That Great?
If only this were the case. Somebody with 70 def and 75 attack is hardly a high level, and yet they can wear the same armor and weapons I do.

Being a High Level-Really That Great?
Depends what you mean. It is fun being a high level when you are still working toward things. You get a new tool or new ability and go "wow, this sure will help with X!" At a certain point the only abilities you have to look forward to are entirely pointless. "Boy, I can't wait to get that inferno adze so I can, um, grind woodcutting and firemaking at the same time! That sure will help with getting two more 99s that do nothing!" "Boy, can't wait until I can mine rune! Then I can, um... sit around and wait for rune to spawn instead of doing things that make much better money!" "Boy, can't wait until I can make sara brews so that I can waste even MORE money on herblore exp!" Etc. I am very, very close to this point. I would still like 91 rc, and to max out combat, and get 99 slayer and summoning. Then... I just don't know.

The ring of wealth is a LIE!
ive had a triple whip task before and it was without a ROW Yup, same here. 3 whips in under 150 kills, and no ROW.

23rd April 2009 - Rest and Musicians
To be honest the only reason I am excited at all about this is Saradomin Godwars. I like to bring a unicorn with me, but that has the unfortunate side effect of sometimes making me run low on energy (only when I get very unlucky and the boss attacks me 3 or 4 times in a row) and use valuable purple sweets to get it back. If I could rest while waiting for the next spawn, that would likely solve my problem :D

A brief moment of empathy
I used to worry about the blue dragon population when my money making method involved competing with five or six other people to kill every dragon much faster than they could spawn. Surely they couldn't keep reaching adulthood so quickly, and then we would have a shortage of dragon bones and blue dragonhide! Fortunately they seem to be infinitely renewable, as I can still see them on my way to the black demon pit sometimes.

A High Level Approach to Iron Dragons
It's faster, as this method can be combined with prayer flashing piety with no extra cost. If you're using antifire potion like the guide suggests, their max with fire on somebody without a shield is under 30, and it's very rare for them to hit that. Being able to heal without fighting doesn't really provide any sort of advantage here. If your melee stats are as high as outlined in the guide, it is extremely rare for a spec to miss, which means you are almost guaranteed 10 hp and 5 prayer per spec, even on the dragons. Plus, even assuming that we miss HALF the specs (huge assumption there), we're trading 10 hp for 5 prayer and a dose of super defence. Sounds worth it to me.

A High Level Approach to Iron Dragons
SGS is 100% better than excaliber for this method. 20 extra hp every 5 minutes with excaliber, or at LEAST 20 hp and 10 prayer every 5 minutes, with a possibility of getting up to 50ish hp and 25ish prayer in that same time with SGS. If you don't like killing the ones near the dogs, just use the SGS spec on the iron dragon- works almost as well anyway. The only small advantage provided by the excaliber over the SGS is the fact that it doubles as a super defence potion, but super defence is a LOT cheaper than prayer potion. However, one could make the argument that, if one doesn't own an SGS, excaliber could be better than the ancient mace. I'll update the first post accordingly.

Quick Question: Protection Prayer Strategy (Spot Protect)
You leave it on to heal... :P Usually though, I flash piety at bosses most of the time, and then leave it on when I need to do inventory management or whatever. Saves quite a bit of prayer. This doesn't work out for soloing so much though, unless we're talking the kbd or something.

Major tweaks needed for 2009-list
Summoning fighting familiars need to start attacking at the exact same time as I do. The "attack" command should make them attack just like it does for my character. The gate in the Blast Furnace needs to be removed and replaced with something that handles crowds better, as does any other object in the game that handles groups of people trying to use it at the same time poorly (excepting things like mining rocks and trees that have resources, I'm talking gates, doors, etcetera). Skills that do nothing but drain money and never give any benefit need to be given high level untradable rewards that make the skill worth buying. Nobody not risking over 25k should be allowed to attack anyone in PvP. This will make the PvP worlds suck like ten times less. Familiars gathering items should not interrupt skilling. Maybe the gathering familiars might be useful if I could fletch without them constantly canceling my fletching halfway through my inventory. The bank interface has a TON of weird laggy glitchy issues that need to be ironed out.

Void Range Armor, worth it?
This isn't an opinion issue, this is a simple issue of you being wrong. Void has better damage per second than Armadyl. Period. Actually, Void's defense is surprisingly adequate. I do slayer in it and tank what I need to, and it really isn't much of an issue. For the harder things I add a DFS, and my bunyip and SGS are always plenty to keep my hp up. I don't think dragonhide would do too much better at tanking, really.

A High Level Approach to Iron Dragons
You would certainly use much much less prayer than you normally would with this method, but don't leave the prayer pots in the bank just yet. See what you can do with just unicorn scrolls, I bet you'll use very little prayer potion.

A High Level Approach to Iron Dragons
I went down there with a leaf bladed sword to test it out today because I was bored, and was VERY impressed with the results. While I tend to hit lower numbers than with the whip, I'm around three times as accurate, resulting in much faster kills. Highly recommend this sword for metal dragons, and the guide has been edited to reflect this.Thank you very much P4duke for that suggestion :)

about jagex debuging
Javascript is a little programming language for small projects. It has nothing to do with RuneScape. Java is a programming language that Runescape is written in. Runescript is a higher level programming language that Andrew Gower made which makes it easier to program RuneScape in Java. It is then translated down to Java. *facepalm*

Newly uncensored word list
To which my response is "You don't think your kid sees the same thing (and worse) at middle or high school? Wait... are they not 13 yet? Better kick them off until they get older! Pay more attention to what you're signing them up for, you failure of a parent." Damn, crap, suck, [wagon], etc are not even vaguely offensive to anybody over 12, unless you are simply too much of a whiny idiot to be on the Internet at all. I finally might be able to have a normal conversation with people, best update in AGES!

Total levels overrated?
I'm talking about how hard it is to gain exp in a skill, not how useful the skill is. Cooking and fletching have always been easy exp (though not as easy as now, with the do-X functions), and in the past they even MADE money.
-
Total levels overrated?
The best way would be to do a lot of math to determine how much exp is worth in each skill compared to the others. Cooking and fletching exp would be worth very very little, whereas agility and slayer exp would be worth many times more. Then you multiply a person's exp in each skill by these multipliers and add it all up, and you get their relative competence. Since that would be insane and time consuming, we use total level.
