  1. That's not true. The ratio of swordfish to tuna is constant, no matter what your fishing level. +1. I'm pretty sure lobsters are generally considered to be the better money maker.
  2. I've had mine since soon after they came out, and love it to death. It's fantastic for anything tanking because of the awesome defense bonuses. It's particularly nice at mithril dragons, and iron dragons if you're trying to take them on without prayer (see my guide).
  3. If it's not your money, how are you going to use it...? Anyway, Bandos is your best bet. Verac helm, Karil's top, Verac's skirt, and either whip and defender/DFS or (VASTLY PREFERRED) a godsword of any kind. All the other equipment I think you can figure out, basically based upon what you are willing to lose. Bring a super set, a couple prayer pots, a teleport, a hammer (DON'T FORGET THE HAMMER), and a beast of burden. All empty slots in the familiar and yourself should be shark. If you can use the Ooglog pools, it's nice to do so, especially for the run energy (after it gets drained by the snow) and the Bandos pool. Otherwise, having a Bandos item isn't a big deal. A BGS is nice if you have it. Get killcount on the hobgoblins directly south of Graardor's room (look up a GWD map before you go so you know how to get there). Then run in there with protect melee, piety and protect item on and start hitting the boss. When you need to eat, run under him to do so so that he has to dance and thus stops attacking. Watch out that your prayer doesn't get too low. After he dies, take out the minions and use the altar if you have time. Repeat until you have little enough food that you can't reasonably take down another boss and the current one has died, or you run out of food during a boss fight. Immediately teleport in either of those situations. Edit: Sara is a nice one too, but I don't know if it's the best "oh hey I think I'll do my first solo GWD run" boss. Bandos is much easier, though you will get more kills at Sara if you do it right. I strongly recommend 83 slayer for Sara if you go that route.
  4. Never hunt for anything but crimsons. Greaters should easily get you enough gold charms to start using your crimsons, and then you'll have a stockpile of them. Much more efficient than wasting time at fire giants or wherever getting mainly gold charms.
  5. I second everything here. Black dhide (or Arma or void if you have them), Zammy book, rune cbow, ranger/snakeskin boots, rfd barrows gloves/black vambs, accumulator, glory/fury, broad bolts (accept no substitute), and four or five ranged pots. Also take along some alch runes for rune meds and chains, and some extra food for when they're still aggressive and you've accidentally taken a couple 16s.
  6. Both Runecrafting and mage training arena give a meaningful amount of exp in desired skills, so I would go for one of them. If you also have a magic goal, do that, otherwise Runecrafting.
  7. At 70 that agility obstacle was bad enough to make me bank for more food. It's terrible.
  8. I know it doesn't in Castle Wars, not sure about non-minigame land.
  9. Knives are better than the darts of the same metal, so do that at least. Crossbows are also extremely good.
  10. Why waste your time when you could make a huge profit on ranarrs? O_o
  11. +1. They're both potion-style boosts.
  12. It depends on your connection and concentration, which you can tell by the responses here. People saying 1k an hour is nearly impossible probably have slower connections, while those claiming 1.1k+ is possible probably have quite good connections.

Nah, it's way cheaper to buy your own pouches than it is to make them anyway. The pouch making process is strictly for getting exp, NEVER go "oh hey I could use this charm on something high-exp but I really want this familiar;" I bet you could buy it for less than the cost of shards and seconds on the GE. If you're going to use your green charms, make the highest level one that's reasonable cost- and exp- wise (fruit bats and ibis are good examples of this). Bloated leeches also are crimson charms. I think what people are telling you is that it's better to train with crimson charms than green charms, which is true.
  14. The slayer ring is my favorite reward. Yes, more than the helmet. Teleports next to a fairy ring, among other things :D So yeah, get that first too.
  15. Are you POSITIVE about this? I'm POSITIVE that he's mistaken. It's always been you drop down to the next 30 second mark if you log out and back in. Admittedly this was a bigger problem when you could only get the timer up to a few minutes.
  16. Yeah, bursting rock lobsters is fantastic. I don't know if Alphakoldes has her guide back up in the player-made guides section, but if it is there I would give it a read. Do be aware that you will get almost all crimson charms- save them and you will not be upset with them later. Nothing like hitting a level and all of a sudden having enough charms to get ten more.
  17. You should learn how to time prayer potion doses so you don't lose an attack. Just as you start to swing your weapon, drink the potion and you should hit the next time uninterrupted. Also use super attack and strength. He should be a pushover at your stats.
  18. Here's what I think you should do. Train slayer or kill something with a good charm balance like dust devils until you have enough green charms for bloated leeches. Then use all those crimsons you saved up on bloated leaches/pyrelords. You should have a lot of crimsons. Then you could probably make all your golds into terrorbirds. Green charm pouches, you will find, are almost always a terrible training option, so it's a bad idea to try to stock up on them specifically. You are at one of the only points where green charms are more effective than gold and crimson.
  19. Revenants are SO MUCH EASIER than PKers ever were. It amuses me to no end when people whine about being teleblocked by revenants... At least you have a bracelet to prevent it and they don't DDS spec! They can't even run, just turn tail and log as soon as you see one and you're free.
  20. If you do what I do, it really doesn't. Stick the max amount of cash in, get favor to 100%. Leave it and forget about it. Stop by in 1-4 weeks whenever you think of it and repeat. Sell everything on the GE. Congrats, you just made a whole ton of money for doing nothing. It's just silly not to do it.
  21. HP training at PC is a stupid idea. Just doing enough combat for 99 in all your melees is going to put you over 14mil hp exp most likely. I personally have over 17mil exp and I've never used PC points on HP.
  22. What hassle? What could you possibly be referring to that a free 400-600k a week couldn't make up for?
  23. Hahaha, oh WOW! You do know you can just tear down and rebuild one thing, right? Oak larders are a good choice.
  24. If you buy runes, play the games, and buy infinity boots or a mage book, you WILL come out ahead. It just takes time.
