PC is the fastest HP exp, but don't do that. I have never PCed hp and have over 17mil hp exp just from doing normal combat.

In F2P there's not much in the way of armor better than rune. Rune berserker shields are superior, but they degrade and the only way to fix them is play a lot of Fist of Guthix (can't be bought). If I were you I would buy exp in a skill you like with that money.

Yeah, buy a seed and have them chant it into a shield or just buy a new crystal shield.

Yeah, I say that bgs is the best weapon for soloing any boss that is meleed (not sara or arma). SGS is a close second, but you're there for so little time that it's not going to do much.

The only time they will recharge a bow is if it is a seed. You need to drain it fully to get a full bow again. On an unrelated note, crystal bows have been outclassed by addy/broad bolts which are more effective and much much cheaper.

Yup. I've soloed all the GWD bosses at least a few times and Zammy is where I had the most close calls. You're good, all of a sudden you're down 60 hp and prayer AND a minion just hit a 15 which means you're almost dead and need a dose of prayer pot at the same time. Ironically that's also the only place I got a special drop on a solo trip- Z spear. Unfortunately this was before they were a popular weapon at waterfiends, so it only netted me 450k lol

Karil's doesn't have better ranged bonus than black hide either, so no reason to use it unless you're going for magic defense (it also has less melee def and only a couple points more ranged def).

Having done several Bandos and Zammy trips, I can say Bandos is much easier. Since Bandos has more desirable drops AND is easier, I wouldn't bother soloing Zammy unless you have a lesser demon task.

Farming, fruit bats and the grand exchange are the only sources of watermelon. They're pretty cheap on the GE, so I'd get them there.

Rune berserker shield is from Fist of Guthix. It degrades as you use it, so you'll have to regularly play the minigame to recharge it if you use it often. This makes it less worth it for everyday training, but it's the best shield in F2P by far if you're playing BH or whatever. Magic equipment now involves Druidic robes from Fist of Guthix. These also degrade, similar to the rune berserker. Ranged now involves a green dragonhide coif from Fist of Guthix. They also degrade (surprise!).

Lol, the replies here are actually wrong. Your magic defense is based half on your magic and half on your defense. So for me, at 95 magic and 99 defense, my effective magic defense level is (95 + 99)/2 = 97. If I take a super defense pot, it becomes (95 + 113)/2 = 104. Still quite a difference, and you notice it if you take a super defense potion at specters. Plus, they're SO cheap, there's no reason not to. If you run out of space for herbs just drop the potion.

Really, there's nothing that comes even somewhat close. Your best bet is nechryael, or dust devils if you can't kill those. Black demons in the chaos tunnels are okay, but not great. Greater demons are a waste of time in my experience, judging from the times I've had them for slayer. If you want to do something unorthodox and tricky, skeletal wyverns drop TONS of them (two at a time), but are so difficult to kill that they aren't better than waterfiends. I keep meaning to get down there and try different things to see if I can work out a way to spend money to power kill them- might end up being another good alternative to rock lobsters like Dharoking waterfiends.

I got almost 0 dust devil tasks on my way to 85 slayer, but since Smoking Kills I've been getting a lot more. I don't think they're as rare now as they used to be.

Putting all of your money into one or two items is NEVER, EVER a good idea.

Prayer flashing becomes second nature after doing it for a while. I'm to the point that I can accurately flash piety while reading the forum.

Never go back to lessers. If you want good drops and have reached a high (90+ melees) combat level you can go compete for cockroaches, which drop excellent stuff for less exp.

Flesh crawlers and ice giants are both reportedly better.

You're right, I'm sorry, having high skill levels shouldn't make anything easier. They should remain worthless. WHAT was I THINKING, wanting to reward EFFORT? Silly me. To everyone else who posted, thanks for all the support. I will be reposting this on the RSOF soon, I've been too busy to reliably keep it on the forum lately so I haven't bothered. Going camping for a week pretty soon so definitely not going to bother putting it up before that. Expect it in late August or early September!

4 dose potions are much much easier to sell.

I know you could when the quest came out, but I think that bug was fixed.
