  1. on your way into the ogre city there is a summoning obelisk, talk to the ogre there to convert pouches and scrolls into shards
  2. i'd turn them back into shards at gu'tanoth (ogre city near feldip hills). granite crabs have one use, a minor def boost. other than that their pretty much worthless, you can get better def boosts from other familiars as well. they aren't good fisher....crabs either lol
  3. You should definately get 6 morphic tools, at the cost of two hours it'll net you about an extra 30exp per steel bar, giving you about 460k smithing exp for those bars. and yes the blast furnace does give full exp for both smithing and smelting. good luck with yer money makin' :
  4. managaing your kingdom from the "throne of miscelania" and "royal trouble" quests is good money which requires nearly no work. do both quests, maintain 750k in the kingdom's coffers everyday, and keep the approval rating at 100% every day. then just withdraw your goods at the end of a week/month or longer if you like for easy cash. there's also pineapples and seaweed from arhein in catherby, battle staves from the staff shop in varrok and several other easy money makers that require little to no work. i hope this helped
  5. thanks, i'll work on the quest when i next have free time. i'm still open to other opinions on the agility course though
  6. i've been wanting to train my agility up for a while now and i've been looking at the penguin agility course as a potential way of training. however i don't have cold war completed (or started for that matter either). now my question is whether it is worth it to do cold war for the agility course or if it is better to stick with barbarian untill i'm higher level. my agility is lv 41. also does anyone know how often you fail at the penguin course? i rarely fail at the barbarian one so i'm assuming that the penguin one isn't that much harder. thanks in advance
  7. that would work if the monsters wouldn't stack on top of each other. once one crosses into the same square all the rest do, including damis. i'll try to find the safespot that fantasy posted. thanks for all the input guys
  8. ok, thanks. i'll have to see if i can find anyone willing to help me lol
  9. hey guys, i was wondering how to safespot damis during the desert treasure quest. i've tried trapping him around walls but he just walks right around them and keeps attacking me. if anyone could help me out i'd greatly appriciate it. thank you
  10. turn on safe mode when you next log into runescape. to do this, hold down the "s" key on your keyboard while the game loads. by turning on safe mode, the game will run with the lowest possible specs meaning anti-aliasing will be turned off and your screen should return to normal
  11. yes there are $20 prepaid cards in walmart they should be in the computer game isle with a couple other pre-paid cards for other games. note: this is only for the walmart in my area, they may or may not stock them in your local store so you'll have to check and see. if not, ask the cashier or go to gamestop/ebgames and see if they have any, but i do know that rs prepaid cards exsist. hope this helped
  12. to the south-east of the agility pyramid is a large plateo (sp?) if you haven't done the quest related to it (dealing with scarabas i do believe) then you'll need to go all the way to the south end of the desert and wander through a marsh to get onto the plateo. once there you'll be able to restock your water skins from a spring of water flowing out of the rocks. once ready, hop over some rubble and run past the mummys and such to find a hidden wall. you'll need to have your cat help you with this. once in the cave you'll need the furthur help of your cat to get through the traps to reach Catolax. hope this helped (the tip it guide has pictures of the mini-map and game screen which should help you furthur if need be)
  13. if i recall, buying emeralds and gold bars and making them into bracelets is profitable, though i haven't checked the prices recently so check them before you buy lol. hope this helped a little
  14. hate to hijack the topic but, how good are eucalyptus logs compared to willows exp/hr wise? that might be a good way for me to train a bit lol
  15. they seem to only be good at higher levels, i remember fishing them and got around 10 out of 26 karambwan, that's 16 peices of bait lost per trip =/. none-the-less, it's a good guide, i'll try them later to see if my slightly higher fishing level helps at all, i used to like using them as a cheap food source lol
  16. When jagex released the fming mini game they said it was a new way to train fming, and while it does give some great exp, i was wondering if it actually holds any training value. I added up the exp gained just from the bonuses and the first 6 flames give slightly more exp (if you give the assistants 5 logs each too, it's quite significantly better without giving them 5 extra logs) than simply burning willow logs. however you also have to calculate the time it takes to fill and light all the torches which i haven't had the time to do. so what are your thoughts? is the fming mini game a viable way to train fming? or should i just put my ring on and start burning logs as normal? thanks in advance
  17. if your quick you can go to your local wal-mart or a store that specializes in video games and buy a $20 (i think that's the only ammount) card for runescape. my only question is are they going to increase the ammount of money on those cards later, 20 bucks gets you 4 months of membership on the old rates but only 3 with some coins left over using the new subscription rates (rough estimate, but it stinks having un-usable cash on a card :x ).
  18. i kinda agree with ya, surprises can be a good thing, especially when it comes to one time only events like these. they also did this with the halloween event too though i don't remember if it was quite that far in advance. maby you should try to suggest this to jagex on the forums or via a customer support query (i'd choose forums personally lol), the suspense should be held untill the month of/before the update i think
  19. someone calculated the ammount of time it took to do a trip with the tabs earned from one game and calculated in the time it took to obtain the tabs as well.... the conclusion was that rcing is actually the same speed or slower using the tabs because of the 16min game you have to play, and that's asuming you win most/all the rounds. with that in mind i personally would just go for the robes then spend the rest on pure ess, 600-700 free ess in 16mins is quite a deal lol.
  20. unless i'm missing something and your talking about something entierly different, there is still the world switch from the log in page, simply click the button that tells you what world your on. hope this helped
  21. i'll give it some consideration, currently i'm on a dumb bronze dragon task but....oh-well, thanks for the advice, i appriciate it =)
  22. any spots other than greaters? their quite a ways away and take up some decent ammounts of food (meaning long bank trips). if not then that's fine but i'm just looking for as many alternatives as possible lol
  23. hey guys, i'm looking for some fast-ish training spots that will net me some charms (crimson preferably) and good exp. i don't want to train slayer though i'm not particuraly picky on food/potion costs (i can easily fish my own lobbys and such). the only thoughts i've had are maby flesh crawlers but i don't know if they drop charms or not... any help would be appriciated, thanks
  24. i don't think anyting can make me quit permanently, i always take like a month break to play another game, new or old, but i seem to always come back to gold ol' runescape. i keep playing 'cause this was my 2nd mmo i've ever played, the first being maplestory. i quit maple for runescape because rs has sooo much to do than just kill monsters and the quests have story line which just rocks =) another thing is i have rl friends who play this game from tme to time so that's always a plus, and even the people i meet online are great company. in truth, online interaction is the ONLY thing keeping me on, if it weren't for this game being an mmo, i'd have quit a loooooong time ago lol
