  1. Any tree can give you any seed.
  2. Coal trucks are a bit faster I think but both can get busy. I'd go coal trucks, if I went that is. df
  3. I'm not sure about halberding tbh. It might well melee you from that range. There are other ways apparently. If you can damage it a bit you can then run around the inner square (the arena is like a big square with a small square in the centre removed) and let the gnomes finish him off. When you trap him o the other side of the square he doesn't even attack you with mage as I remember. However, I have to say that this is a much more risky strategy and you may need to talk to more people because I didn't use this technique so I can't say with any authority how it works
  4. If you have reasonable range just hang back where you tele in. As soon as you see the thing start ranging it with protect from mage prayer on (I put prayer on before I even put the sigil on). As long as you are attacking it it will not close the distance and melee you. THe gnomes will also attack it. Use the best arrows and bow you can and all the stat boosting range gear you can find. Mage is not as good, it has high mage defence. I did MM with level 70 range and 50 prayer, I killed the Demon with a mage short and rune arrows and didn't use a single sip of pray pot. Post your stats for more precise advice :)
  5. I'd say that sort of attitude is more of a problem than people asking stupid questions. I do agree the questions are repetitive but that's just a function of an increased membership on the boards. It also reflects a change in the make-up of the people playing RS, there are a lot of younger people playing now who are less inclined to find things out for themselves. As I see it the purpose of these boards is to provide a forum for discussion and assistance regardless of the level of the player. There are still plenty of interesting topics on the boards you just have to take the time to find them. Also remember that what interests you now may not necessarily be what interested you back then, everyone in prone to rose tinited nostalgia. Furthermore the game has not expanded that quickly therefore there is not that much more to be discussed and when you reach the sort of level you (@Gamerr) have, there are not that many people at your level with whom you can discuss features of the game which you are able to access. Sure there's a lot of stupid stuff and hero worship on the forums but there are still a lot of good people here too.
  6. I'm reaching here but I seem to remember you could pick some sort of nut at some point on the course? I checked this, you can pick the nuts if you have started the Arwogwei(?) section of Recipe for Disaster quest (you can't pcik them after you complete the quest though. Edit: They only heal 5hp per and you can only hold one at a time.
  7. Don't worry about pkers, as long as you are 3 iteming you won't be at any risk. Even if you have a coordinate clue with a zammy mage you can still get round it (take watch, chart, sextant, spade, dds, find spot, pray protect mage, dig, kill mage, dig, drop spade and watch if pkers strike). This has worked for me at the axe hut and by the level 50 lever. Just don't open the casket until you get back out of the wild
  8. I got about 5000 trout and 2500 salmon at 52-67(?) fishing. I think the ratio was slightly more than 2:1 but not by much.
  9. Yes it is annoying, it takes up time, especially when it's laggy and you accidentally click something twice etc. However, I reckon it's considerably less work and hassle than replacing the entire contents of my bank if I get hacked. So on balance I like the pin, I'm also with misterxman, people who whine because their account got hacked and they lost everything, even after Jagex has told them to set PINs and recovery questions and everything else, these people make me mad. df
  10. To use just one-click it. The option is 'Empty' ectophial. It teles you back to the ectofunctus. Use the ectophial on the ectofunctus to recharge.
  11. ROF has 140 uses (5 full loads of ore). You get five knives per bar so buying ore at 100ea would give you a profit of 100 per bar if you can sell at 40ea. So every ROF would give you a profit of 14k less whatever you pay for the rings. I don't know how easy it is to sell the knives though df
  12. 1. Iron ore goes for about 100ea 2. Every bar you smith gives exactly the same xp. For example if you smith a platemail (using 5 bars) you will get 5x the xp you would have got from smithing a set of throuwing knives (1 bar). The only exception is cannonballs wich actually give less xp per bar (25.6 instead of 37.5). Cannonballs are also slow to smith although they give better overall profits than other steel items.
  13. Try this calculator. The tip.it main site has just about everything you'll ever need - with the exception of the stuff it doesn't have... http://tip.it/runescape/?page=smith_smelt_calc.htm
  14. which slayer monsters are these? Check here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=slayer_guide.htm#slayerdrops
  15. They are from the security stronghold which Jagex released a little while ago. You will need to have set your recovery questions to complete the stronghold. Don't worry about the high level monsters, you can run past these. At the end (level four gift) you a re given a choice of 'fancy' (colourful) or 'warrior' (steel) boots. Edit: both boots have the same stats btw
  16. You can get boots in every metal, including black. They are all drops from slayer monsters. Most people don't bother with them until they get to addy or rune. Rune cost between 150-200k from players. The best f2p boots are the stronhold ones I think, same stats as steel boots (at least on p2p they have the same stats, maybe on f2p they're just for show). df
  17. The Ankous on level 4 are pretty good too. They give great drops on p2p, I don't know what they're like on f2p though.
  18. Try adding one of these links, you'll have to check I've put the right time zone in for you. Eastern standard time: US - New york http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=2&month=9&year=2006&hour=20&min=30&sec=0&p1=179 or this one if you mean Eastern standard time australia: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=2&month=9&year=2006&hour=21&min=30&sec=0&p1=57
  19. You automatically recover it. Apparently they can break, mine hasn't yet but then I don't use it much (I've found the shortcuts to be largely pointless).
  20. Taken from this excellent guide
  21. :wall: When I find out who told me that... Sorry ishepp. Bad advice.
  22. Well, you know I could be wrong... I don't think I ever actually tried going in without using the nightshade - I was just told I needed to I think, I'll have to check this for myself when I get home but boy am I going to be narked if all the time I've been messing around unecessarily (~450 blues killed for slayer so far)
  23. If you kept the skavid map all you need is a light source and you can gather nightshade in the skavid cave south (and a little bit west) of the main gates of Yanille. You need one nightshade every time I believe (if you don't I'm going to be mad!) If you didn't keep the map IDK, I know you can farm the stuff or I guess you could get another map maybe? The light and map take up two inv slots but that's more than made up for with all the safespots and the quiteness and bank proximity. I never kill blues anywhere else.
  24. Hmm, I'd get used to trolls if I were you. I must have gone through at least four troll assignments (one was 130ish) on my way to 58 slayer. They hit quite hard but only rarely but if you aren't overly bothered about combat xp then a dds spec on them works wonders. What you will find is that as your slayer level increases you will get more 'slayer' assignments and less cabbage. Btw a games necklace (enchanted saph necklace) is the closest tele to the trolls unless you have completed Eadgar's Ruse or started Fairy Tale pt 2. If you haven't seen it then this guide rocks.
  25. I know there is a 50 slayer requirement for Duradel but I thought the only requirement for Chaeldar was 70cb? I could be wrong (I did check the tip.it guide before I posted though). I personally would still try Lost City (Chaeldar) first because any way that you can avoid the dreadful assignments of Vannaka (Edgeville) and Mazchna (Canafis) is a good way to go.
