Looks like an interesting month, been dieng for a good quest :P I don't think he's online atm, he usually gets updates as long as they're after 2/3 :P And it all sounds rather interesting, but nothing particularly meaty that I can get my teeth into. I've not done the quests so that's not much for me, but I guess the Make X changes will be good :) I'm around just my refreshing the frontpage days are over (wont be posting them anymore) :P
  2. I agree Aesthetics help you feel the game out, a sword looking like you're actually applying force. In my opinion the following areas of the game needs fixing aesthetically. - Gnomes. - Monkeys (including ape atoll) - Armour from bronze -> barrows.

'Not really, have some knowledge from a real java programmer, The Variable that is a skill needs to be implemented in a system for it to show, that means these have already been implemented and no xp to level set yet. They probably set it after dungeoneering came out to prevent problems/let all skills load the same way. Seriously, this is an old glitch. That'd be the stats set before yours are retrieved, to say 120s are coming is like saying attack is being removed because it's set to level 1. In some ways it's an easter egg, the 1337 total for example but Jagex have stated that it isn't in their intention for 120 stats to happen anytime soon ;)
  4. It's the way the game loads; the map does, then the npc then the players. (a good example of this is the way drops are calculated, first the 100% eg bones, then the charms, then the loot) The reason your stats are out of whack is because the client isnt connected to the login server for those brief few moments and those are the default stats that it has set (yours havent been retrieved yet). It's not "OMG 120s r comin" it's just the way the servers protocol works I guess.

    The login server may not be in sync with that particular game world try another.

    A) Have you tryed a different world? B) Have you tested your connection, when you disconnect from RuneScape do other websites work?
  8. I believe that was, until a week or so ago, a limitation of the game engine, and we'll expect to see rejigging of other weapons as well. EDIT: The 'remove formatting' button doesn't seem to work properly.... You can't say thats why longswords are the way they are look at spears, chaotic weaponry and such.
  9. Why don't jagex redesign some older pieces such as rune armour/barrows instead. Oh well, the one that looks most lethal to me is B, if the left side of the blade had a spike facing towards the hilt it'd be pretty much embedded if it was in a flesh wound, a good comparison to that would be a sharks tooth or a harpoon.
  10. That they did and infact its a bug I reported in late April and it's still not fixed, if I'm honest it's Jagex fault for not fixing it, besides those who did it are only banned for 3 days ;)

  18. kiting is very useful in fight caves definitely is a must on the 360s ;)
  19. Same here. :thumbup: Try an alternate way for connecting to game, like google chrome, firefox, the newer version of the RuneScape client in Downloads.
  20. :blink: Oktoberfest? I saw it saying that on the Message of the Week. October 1st. :) There's usually 7 days both days though, so spanning from 24th Sept - 8th October.

Mod Chris L was speaking to players a few days ago, and mentioned the Monster Limit in dungeoneering was not intentional, and has been fixed although it had some knock-on effects which needed resolving before it came "live" (included in the next update after it was fixed). I wonder if the items going under the tables is what he was speaking about, or if that's just yet another Z-buffering kink to be ironed out (meaning monster limit fix still isn't live yet).
