  1. I agree. In my opinion, books and movies can not be compared. You got the 2 hour movie which follows typical melodrama stuff and then you can have a book which makes you feel intimate with the characters, see the characters evolve. Usually I find in movies the producer just puts a whole bunch of gimmicky stuff that people like to watch (Comedy or/and action films). Not to say I do not like comedy or action movies, but I usually only end up watching them once for a reason. But with books, speaking from a story to story sense, you feel like you actually know the character. And for instructional purposes, some people say they gain information better from videos then from written instructions or vise versa, so for that there is no real point to discuss and comes down to personal preferences as long as the same information is given. I do not know how much of my post was complete rambling, and I probably did not make much sense at all, but I just feel that movies are a) gimmicky things to gain money B) to short to get to know the character, to see a raising conflict and to see the conflict solved. The few cases where a good movie is made though.. The Godfather comes to mind as a good movie (That was a adaption of a book might I add ;)) We have conflicting characters, Peripeteia, suspense, dramatic scenes etc etc. Which is probably why its rated #1 at imdb (Or contributing factors in my opinion)...
  2. It would probably be a stalemate because you have to consider all of the bosses except for zamorak have a attack that hits everyone in the area...
  3. I am not going to say how bad vegetable oil is, just the fact that we can not rely on it completely. Solely using it for fueling cars requires a lot of land. How it should be used is going around the city and collecting used vegetable oil. This will not answer our fuel demands, but when peak oil is coming (Or happening, depending who you ask) then no one really has a choice.
  4. Get one of those parrots that live stupidly long and you will not have to go through such grief again unless of course, you take care of pets horribly. My opinion :P.
  5. Yes I read the news. A possible 6 months is a long time to REPLACE something that was with the game from near the start. Updates would have been nice if given when they were removed.
  6. Expect to sell them to alchers for 4450 each in bulk.
  7. Why do I think you have like 7 million salmon banked waiting to exploit such situations? :P
  8. You have waaaay to many anti fire potions compared to your casts. 9 Doses is good for one hour, and you only got enough casts for about 45-55 minutes. And tbh, chances are you won't kill that many either. So I hope you're feeling lucky. For every hour you want to camp at metal dragons, 1300 casts with 9 doses I believe do the trick, should I remember correctly :P ( casts vary from around 1100-1300 an hour )
  9. I would mage them if I were if you really really want to kill them. Im going to be honest, if you don't have good enough stats you will lose money - fast. And I would recommend atleast 80+ stats for it. It gets even higher for steel dragons. For magic though all you need is a bunch of fire bolts, a anti fire shield and a bunch of anti breathe potions and don't forget chaos gauntlets. However, wether you'll make money that way either with your low mage is up for debate too.
  10. Can you pleeeeeeease stop generalizing a population to fit your views and opinions? Also, not only is there a popup theres also a ditch. How can you NOT be prepared to enter the wilderness? Gotta do a clue? Don't wanna risk the wilderness ... I think its obvious what to do.(What risk... You're never at the opportunity to lose anything of value if you bring a spade and your clue). People like you make my gaming experience less enjoyable. Bringing down PvPers by calling them cowards just because you are not able to prepare yourself for the risks of the wilderness. Let me tell you something, rune mining? Its only the best metal in the game, I think it should have a risk. That risk is making it to and back. Wilderness agility course? Its crap, why would you train there. Also, I don't know where you pk, but I've had and seen lots of 'fair fights'. I don't know why you have such bias towards a certain population.
  11. Bounty Hunter lulz.
  12. Great article. Was a enjoyable read and puts my views in there pretty greatly (You didn't really go on any emphasis on PvP which is like a godsend to me). But its good.
  13. gg. Wait until January and it really happens.
  14. What does the bounty hunter game matter? Yeah ill go into a place where if I kill someone who I am 'not supposed' to kill then I have to stay there for 3 minutes. 3 MINUTES. You could kill 50 people in that time. No doubt you're a goner if you decide to kill someone who you are not supposed to. Make it even worse, the game gives you a bounty. What if you want to PK with a friend. Oh wait, no one pk's because of gravestones. Bounty hunter is more dangerous then normal pking. Only good thing about bounty hunter is its F2P. woooo.
  15. Don't be an jerk adimadaru. I only played RS because I enjoyed the wilderness and staking. They took staking away you know what? I could live with that. But now they took the wilderness away. It is stupid. Take a look around you, F2P worlds with only 20-400 people in them. Yeah you're gonna have fun 'playing with other people'. Atleast you'll be able to grind your levels without competition amirite? I bet that the worlds that are full are full of riots. I know world 66 is full because someone said riot on the forums. Maybe jagex will realese RSC server software so I can actually play a game I enjoy. gg no re. I am not even going to get my farming goal. Screw it.
  16. Having fun playing by yourself.
  17. USA have a problem with drugs? Man thats never happened before. It was all a conspiracy to collect tax money.
  18. Also, the fact that the guy claims that people 'buy' themselves back into staking after being cleaned is quite funny. It was so easy - if you were decent at staking, to get a glory after 30 minutes of chopping yews and keep doubling that - esspecially mage staking at the lower levels. It is not beyond my belief that someone could make 30m in a day from 50k IF THEY WERE WILLING TO TAKE THE RISKS. It only takes 20 stakes (about an hours work if you can find them decently fast) to go from 1 gp to 1 million. Why wouldn't you be able to do the same with 50k?
  19. Farming is the only skill I enjoy. There are 'slow' and 'fast' ways, just like every skill. Other then the basic items you can get at any of the garden stores for like 50 gp, no. The uses for farming depends on your position. This can be herbs for the herbloreist. Private trees for the lumberjack. Alternate food for the chef. And ultimately, a very fun skill. The easiest way to get to level 50 is to go about it your own way, the way that will work best for YOU. Just plant some seeds and let time play its course .
  20. 27.5 hours if you get distracted a bunch (Bound to happen alching for that long) and more along the lines of 20.5 hours if you manage to be able to grind through that like butter.
  21. It doesn't stop pures...There were FAR more pures in RSC than there are staking accounts now (percentage-wise) and RS2 made them all obsolete. Did Jagex revert magic and ranged as secondary combat skills because of this? No. You don't get it. There were only pures at the duel arena around the 50 levels. Everywhere past you got people with insane attack and defense levels fighting it out. Then you get the higher hundreds and most people had quite balanced skills. I don't know why you bring up RSC magic and ranging, but it is quite irrelevant because we are talking about RS2 and STAKING in RS2 at this CURRENT DATE. The fact is, this update doesn't ruin pures, they still got the wilderness. The fact is, this update ruined the people in the middle, the people that made new accounts to get the edge in winning money. The fact is, EVERYONE who staked before got hit, they lost a source of fun, a source of income. And now we got some horrible tournament crap-ola that looks like a grade four designed it.
  22. I enjoyed staking because I knew once I entered, it would be a low or win situation. I found it fun knowing that when I entered I could be insanely rich, or insanely poor. Its almost like taking adrenaline pills or something of that sorts. Its the only thing I found fun in RS (Other then farming, but I'm sure as hell not going to pay membership just to access one skill). Every millasecond that passed in a 50m + stake made my heart pump faster. Wilderness doesn't give me this. Wilderness was ruined a long time ago. Also, most stakers who had a lot of money kept staking. I highly doubt anyone actually cared about having 10 billion GP. They just kept staking because it is something they enjoy. ( What point would there be to keep staking past 500m if you weren't having fun staking?)
  23. It doesn't stop pures...
  24. RS entered a new Era. A era where people have intelligence, wits and common sense. The era where we learned to apply fission to super strength nucleus, craft our mightiest weapons from Uranium. A era where one doesn't need transportation. A world where everything is nothing of how anything should be. I was bored really... :-w Your idea fails. I suggest you restart, and uhhh yeah actually think.
