  1. I have not been in an actual car crash but I was the victim of a hit and run accident when I was 4. My mother was standing on the kerb holding my hand and carrying my younger sister waiting to cross the road. A car mounted the pavement and took me with it :-( he/she then reversed to 'shake me off' their bumper & drove off leaving me for dead laying in the middle of the road. I was rushed to hospital and obviously survived to tell the tale. They were never caught or came forward.
  2. That show rocked back the in the day when Hannah Barbara ruled the Cartoon Network. My all-time was The Real Ghostbusters from when I was a kid. Ohh ohhhh I forgot about The Real Ghostbusters - I loved that too :-) Jeez I watched too much telly as a kid - no pc's as a child in my day!
  3. Bubsa beat me to it! Was it slapstick type violence Tom and Jerry (hitting with frying pans etc) or Itchy and Skratchy (cuts off head with big whizzing chainsaw)?
  4. Urban foxes are quite common in the UK, as more and more foxes leave the countryside (usually because it has been built on) to scavange out of peoples dustbins etc. I reckon you did see a fox, although the hissing bit is weird. A fox usually makes a sound like a screaming child or someone getting hurt - that sounds really scary when ur tucked up in bed at night :ohnoes:
  5. As a kid *cough* ages ago *cough* I used to love a cartoon called Dungeons and Dragons (some of the older players will remember this as I dunno if it was repeated) Bunch of kids go on a fairground ride and get transported to another realm and have a dungeon master and a unicorn to help them find the way home. There was a baddie in it as well can't think of his name but oh how I loved that show! Nowdays the only animated stuff I watch is Futurama (gotta love zoidburg) or the Simpsons (I may even have a thing for spongebob shhhh don't tell anyone!)
  6. I became a member at around level 40 I think. I saw a member in FTP with nice coloured boots on and thought 'gotta get me some of those'!
  7. I play for a few reasons: Escapism, it is great after an awful day at work to get home, cook tea and then 'escape' for a few hours. For the challenge, I set myself targets and strive to meet them - last night it was to get to 44 runecrafting. It was achieved :D Quests, it forces my brain to work just that bit harder! Helping people, often just give stuff away as in game money to me has no real importance & I own everything I need. Meeting new people, always happy to chat. And pure and simple fun, when it stops being fun I log out and do something else. I will try again later when my patience has returned. I do not understand the 'catherby' type players that just want to argue and flame about this that and everything else (inflating there lil ego's with 'big' talk) - Thankfully I do not have to endure them anymore - Monkfishing FTW!
  8. Should be mentioned in your shield of arrav quest log - this is from memory rather than fact as I am not on rs at the moment
  9. Usually it's the ones that shout about it that do not do it. It is just a cry for help. 'Real' suicides are usually a complete shock and suprise to friends and family as they had no idea that the person was that unhappy. Anyone truly feeling suicidal should see their GP/Doctor not suffer in silence. Posting on a forum is an emotional outlet I guess, and a cry for help that needs medical attention or just a shoulder to cry on.
  10. Make sure you properly check the piles - the defenders hide under the bones & are not obvious (I wasted many a token before I realised this  ) - kill -> check loot -> pick up bones -> bury -> repeat (I bet it's been there the whole time)
  11. Personally I would buy a staff of air and have unlimited airs, airs are needed in a fair few spells and I use the airstaff nearly all the time when training mage.
  12. I agree, cockatrice drop these really frequently - don't forget your mirror shield!
  13. My 3 feathered white chompy bird hat My black cav which was a birthday gift from a friend My full laderhosen - with white mystic boots u gotta love that look!

  15. Just got back from lunch at work to see 'trouble at mill' on my thread! I have got the info I need now, my bad for not knowing the obvious answer in the first place. Gin and 'Speed' Tonic thanks again
  16. 1. I knew it would be that simple #-o 2. I knew it would be you who replied as it was your advise I was querying :D Thanks for getting back so quickly Vix
  17. I have read about the curse spell a few times on H & A over the past few weeks and something puzzles me. Why would you cast it in rune armour & dragon vambs to make the spell fail? I am sure there is a perfectly logical explanation but I can't for the life of me work it out. Many thanks Vix
  18. I love the rant's forum, although some of the rants are very lame some of the responses are well thought out. Personally I miss the good ol' days - Raichase used to rock!!
  19. What are your stats? What do you like doing?
  20. Granite shield (sold for 100k) & rune kiteshield yesterday from the troll runts. Best clue scroll was a robin hat & pirate hat in the same chest No pic's I am afraid, the trouble is I get so excited in the heat of the moment I forget!
  21. I am level 96, I found him pretty easy to kill with protect from mage on. I used a few monkfish and a couple of doses of prayer pot's. Did not get knocked back once, I stood real close to him and hit him with my d scimmy. If you have protect from mage and some food/prayer pots you will be fine. Tip - tele out once you have the head, those horrid trolls still give you a beating after you have cut his head off & i died the first time  BTW: I wore yak armour and had the big wood shield.
  22. My best was from a level 3 scroll dropped by jellies I got a spanking Robin hat & a pirate hat in the same chest, there was something else of non significant value that I can't remember for the life of me. Ahhh happy days.
  23. In addition to the Level 10 Slayer, 50 Firemaking, 50 Magic, 53 Thieving, to start Desert Treasure you need the following pre-requisite quests: Quests: Digsite Quest, The Tourist Trap, Temple of Ikov, Priest in Peril, Waterfall Quest, Troll Stronghold. Most of which have there own pre-requiste requirements. Good luck with getting your robes.
  24. My son came home from school about 18 months ago and asked if he could set up a Runescape account. I did not have a clue what it was and was in two minds whether to let him as it sounded like a dodgy chatroom. He had failed to get across the point it was a MMORPG (or maybe I just wasn't listening - meh parents eh?!) Many days of constant nagging passed before I relented and supervised him setting up his account. I pretended to be vaguely interested in seeing him trundle around tutorial island and yet really I was longing for him to get off the darn PC so I could set up a character of my own. Runescape is total escapism after being at work for the day, and I still get a buzz from levelling up or getting a clue scroll - sweating palms & heart pounding like mad when those co-ordinate clues take me to the wildy. Admittedly public chat is mostly off when I am trying to concentrate or not in the mood to humour the 'Catherby' type chat. Anyways, in a nut shell I joined rs because of my weak will & my son's perstistance and nagging.
