  1. First of all, they have not increased 10 fold. However, it is now much easier to get 99 range with red chins. I now know 2 people who have gone from below 90 to 99 within a weekend using red chins (yes, they have a lot of time and a lot of money lol)
  2. i liked the old one, the +4 range bonus is very handy, and it was nice to pick up a few arrows while walking from place to place. The new one is also nice, although it doesn't collect as many random arrows, the fact that it collects your arrows you shoot is very handy (like for banshees, and other slayer tasks that i just power through without safespots using iron knives lol)
  3. i get around 40 per round as a defender :P make sure that the runners do not make it through the wall. What i do is i set one of each type of food on the trap, and lure some in and kill them fast to start it (i basically only use east trap) and then run southwest and lure the runners that are trying to "escape" back over to the trap, then i drop a few pieces of food to keep them occupied while i fix the trap, and then drop pieces on the sides (not on) the trap. This gives you the chance of killing multiple runners at once :P also if you have a good, high lvl healer, you will get more points because everyone contributes to the scores. if your healer is healing a lot, then everyone gets more points (especially him/her). also make sure you call things out right away, because penalties for misusing items can cost you a good deal :P
  4. if they are as good as you say they are, i woudl be interested in this ...but are they stackable?
  5. don't do the birds, they are crowded times 10k, it'll be much easier to just do the kebbits to start unless you start in a few weeks once the skill dies down a bit
  6. i have yet to try the falconry, but so far doing the orange salamanders after lvl 47 (wearing ghraak i believe it is) is very good exp
  7. doing 3/4 traps and orange salamanders are faster than doing the birds lol, even if you are doing butterflies while doing birds also i believe
  8. to Haito: 60-70% of English is derived from Latin words. The grammar, however, is different. English is considered to be a germanic language i believe, due to the grammar and whatnot, but the majority of the words do come from Latin. and about Latin being a dead language...that's wrong. Etruscan is a dead language (there is not a single known person in the entire world who can speak Etruscan. Scholars are pretty sure there is an etruscan language guide written by either Caligua or the emporor who followed him, but we have never found a copy of this, so noone can read any of the Etruscan writing (for those who don't know, Etruscans were the dominant Italian culture before the Romans, and even ruled the city of Rome for a while) while Latin is "frozen". It's frozen because as people said before, no real changes are made to it because no one really speaks latin. Latin is basically all writing and whatnot. But people should really look around a bit, they would be suprised how many things come from latin (easy example...i believe everyone here knows what pork is lol, well the latin word for pig is porcus...sound familiar? :P)
  9. oo cool ( i know this is off topic lol) are you at the point where they spend the 9 chapters or whatnot in the ditch yet? lol
  10. yar, there is a lot of Latin in this game if you just look for it. I am also a latin student (at our school for latin 1-3 we use the "Ecce Romani" series (look, the romans) i can't remember who it was who posted the line about marcus and cornelia, but those two are both in this book too lol. i'm in Latin 2 (which is really easy) we are currently working on the passive (for example: in tertio tabulato huius insulae est mater [bleep] duobus liberis. Hi miseri flammis paene opprimuntur) i'll have to watch for more latin though, but i think a lot of the spells that the mages and whatnot say when they cast spells are in latin if i remember right
  11. defenders (i believe) don't have a defense requirement, you just need to have a combnation of 120 str and attack lvls to get into the warriors guild for bone daggers, i don't know, all i know is that youneed to do death to the dorgeshuun to use their specials and for questions about darklight you can find it's stats in the "archive of wisdom" forum, in the stickied thread, go to "runescapers guide to equippable items" by droolman
  12. ...what i'm asking is how many of each type of herb do you get on average per 1k unids...there is odds in what type you get, and that is what i'm asking, so yes, what types of unids you get are random. out of 11 stacks of unids that add up to a total of 1k, how much of each stack (or herb type) will i get, does that help clarify it a bit more?
  13. in case you don't know what powermining is, it is mining and then dropping all the ores
  14. anyone know about what unids you get per 1k unids? like how many guam, marrentil, tarromin, harra, ranarr....and so forth, or if you don't, know any sites that has that? i'm looking for it but can't find anything lol
  15. mining is i think your best bet for the gems, and if you trade the person cut ones at the same time they give you uncuts, then there is nothing wrong (so you need cut gems to start, trade them those for their uncut, and then cut them) one thing though, cutting gems isn't good crafting exp
  16. sounds pretty good to me but....i woudl really recommend getting a rune defender, even though it has only +20ish defense stats, the +20 attack and +5 str bonuses i think make a huge difference
  17. maples 100, coal 50, and i'll be using the coal for smithing once i builld up a good sized chunk
  18. like lvl 9 wildy, northeastish of edgy i believe
  19. i didn't read the whole thread, so i don't know if anyone agree's with me, but in my opinion to be a true "skiller" you must work on ALL of your stats, not just noncombat stats, since combat is a skill....otherwise it wouldn't be on the "skill list" now would it? so in my opinion also going off of this, "lvl 3 skill pures" are a complete joke (just like my grammer :P)
  20. in my case i'm thinking about planning on doing a lot of fishing and cooking, or woodcutting...and while i'm plugging away at math problems, i can glance up every prob, make sure i'm not dieing, and get back to math problems :P (or likewise for other subjects) since those really take no attention at all
  21. it isn't that they hire runners, it's basically just a bunch of rune crafters, and people cast "teleother to (whatever the lunar place near bank is)" making the crafting much faster
  22. does thsi world still exist? and if so anyone know which world it is?
