Is it faster to just clear as quickly as possible or to bodyblock/tank dmg and let the follower level up by attacking?

Keep going in the quest until you gain full access to the city. I have Vyrelord status. I saw that this person was training on them without the disguise on.

Ok, I've started killing the vyrewatch. Is there any good place I can farm them before I actually finish the quest? I noticed one person was killing them in Darkmeyer itself, but I just keep getting teleported out.

I think a rune xbow with baneore bolts would be better.

Despite this being the case, if you intend on primarily leveling combat in F2P, do only that. Right now trout and lobsters are ridiculously cheap training food, so there's really no reason to fish and cook things for yourself. For all other things that you might need, you'd be way better off just buying them since trying to level some of the other skills will just cost money/take really long to get anywhere with. I agree that you should probably get maybe a few levels here and there in some select skills (perhaps WCing and fishing), but overall, you can do everything in P2P much faster/cheaper/more efficiently.

I don't think this entirely true for monster mechanics. I've used knives on giants and if they're out of their attack range, they'll close the gap yes, however, if you're attacking from outside their wander range, they'll back up. This means that if you're attacking them, you will actually run toward them to continue attacking. This then leads you to re-enter their wander range and they begin to close the gap again. However, what I was able to exploit was the fact that if the monster backed into the wall, you could continue attacking them while out of their wander range.

Despite DV's efforts to make that post, most of it is largely pointless if you're intending on going P2P eventually.

That's funny, because when I was training my ranged2her on fleshies, I managed to find a world all to myself :s There may be a lot of bots, but you can still find rooms/worlds without too many of them. You could also kill men in edgeville.

If I get 500 corpse cremations using my flail before I do Branches of Darkmeyer, does the increased power carry over to Blisterwood weapons? If yes, does it carry over to all of them, or just the polearm? I heard the Vanstrom fight can be a little tricky and I intend on doing some temple trekking/vyrewatch hunting for fun anyway. If it's worthwhile I'll get the 500 or so cremations before I do the quest if there's a decent benefit.

You'll probably want to investigate into doing a lot of quests depending on how long you've been away for. There have been tons of new worthwhile rewards that have been released in the past year or so.

You think reverence aura would let me to it w/o prayer renewals? Also don't have magic level for veng yet. Now that I think of it, I need to do some livid farm >.> Btw thanks for everyone's input so far.

Lol I just realized that sup restores cost nothing now. When I last did this they were around 10ea and snaps were actually worth farming. I'm also pretty sure ppots give 10 or so extra ppoints per dose than super restores at my level.

Ok with that vote of confidence I think I'll do it. Also, don't you think 12 sup restores is a little excessive? I did it every other time with maybe 3 or 4 and the rest ppots. Of course I've never used ovls before since I only got them last BXP and have been supering all my tasks.

I'm still under the impression prayer switching was not difficult. The only reason I died last two times were slight lags, and I walked under Jad to lure healers lol.

Jad ranged animations and magic animations are pretty obvious, so I assume that I'd just pro melee the entire time until I see another attack.

Superheating an ore is 2 skills at once and easily doable from a bank. Just another thing to consider.

I think the interesting thing to consider that was mentioned my "Best Auras?" thread was that with the penance, you had infinite sustain in most spots with it combined with SS.

Well I think prayer flashing is a useful skill I should learn eventually, so I should probably learn it now rather than later. I guess I'll switch over to a gorg 2h since I have a CSB bind.

Truthfully you will learn to love them no matter how much you hate them you'll realize just how much they help by offering alternative training methods and xp you would not be able to obtain in the amount of time it takes to do that particular quest. +1 You think you don't have patience for doing quests? I personally didn't have the patience to do barrows runs having to take ridiculous long routes to get to it every time.
