Promethium 2h vs. Primal Battleaxe Bind
So if I currently have a gorg 2h, like to solo for the most part until my last few floors (30-35), I should switch to a baxe?

Promethium 2h vs. Primal Battleaxe Bind
Well that makes sense to me from a team perspective, but what about a solo one that zaaps mentioned? I could definitely see that prioritizing weaker/crush vulnerable monsters would decrease the damage taken since I clear out more monsters sooner, but does it actually increase overall DPS?

Promethium 2h vs. Primal Battleaxe Bind
What entails using a b axe properly?

Am I high enough?
AC is probably only worth doing if you have access to the fairy ring. I'd say there are better means of getting charms than camping wfs if you need to bank often and take a long time to get back to the spot. Go with daily borks with RoW and just slay to get up some combat levels and some charms for the time being. Once you've gotten some more levels, a lot more methods will become feasible.

Going for it all
If you get any of your skills to around 50, I recommend you get summoning to 52. I think you'll unlock more quests and potentially useful things and the like while you get 50 in all skills. In addition to that, you'll also get a better taste of what skills you really hate and which ones you'll want 99 in eventually.

Whip Vine worth it?
Unless he of course plans on getting a chaotic in the very near future, doing no training in between, meaning the whip would basically be obsolete. Ok, it might be ok as a more disposable PVP weapon, but still obsolete otherwise.

Magic Accuracy Nerf
There's been a bit of a rabble claiming that the accuracy of spells has been reduced across the board. People claim they saw it in MMG's FC. I was at steels with around 80-90 magic bonus and hitting a lot less than I was used to and it's either this or I'm just paranoid.

Best barrows?
Yes basically. Not to mention that green drags are a lot more heavily botted since all you need are 50s in CB stats, and standard "noob gear" (granite plate, drag med, drag legs, drag scimmy/long) to do them. Barrows at least requires a few quests and the brothers are slightly more challenging. I don't know exactly how the bots work, but I'd think they get very few chests in per trip.
-
Best barrows?
Assuming you can beat the bots and be constantly killing them, which can be a hassle. You might be able to do it in the tunnels using hard hitting weps, but I'm not sure. The nice thing about barrows is that they have no competition and no bots to affect your rate of kills.

Some advide for all 90+
I think if you do C2 smalls while DGing the fishing spots give anywhere from 60-80k xp/hr depending on luck and dropping technique. Might be a nice mixup from conventional prestige runs.

Best Auras?
Oh if it does take 25% off your max and then add it to you min that would be hella good. Probably going to be the next aura I buy then since I don't boss at all yet.
-
Best Auras?
So I guess bossing 1 hour at a time would become a lot easier with penance. Also, how does equilibrium help anything other than storm of armadyl or anything that has a base minimum hit? I was under the impression that even a cmaul with top gear, turmoil, and ovls could still hit a 1.
-
Best Auras?
For overall combat utility, which auras are best? I have less interest in gimmick/skilling auras unless someone contends that they're significantly better than all other auras. I've narrowed it down to: Reverence: bought when discounted, seemed like the most worthwhile at the time, but not sure now. Worth upgrading? Vampyrism: Good for sustaining, less reliance on food/healing methods Penance: I could see this being useful for multicombat scenarios where you're taking multiple types of damage Inspiration: 50% increased regen with 100% accuracy rapid darts, 25% with speed 6 weapons like crapier/whip) (Greater)Sharpshooter: Could be good for ranged bosses, but I don't personally boss so can't speak on it I could also maybe see the surefooted one being ok for people who just barely met the requirements for a course, but would fail a ton without the aura.

21st September 2011 - Members Loyalty Programme #2
I tested out the Stat-restore potion and it doesn't actually give prayer points, which I had hoped for. Oh well. I'll probably just save up for the Greater Reverence Aura.

How do i improve this account?
Well you already mentioned turm/extremes, so the only thing I can think of after that is: 96 for spellbook swap so that you can stay on lunars more often At least 88 Summoning for Uni, but you'll probably want a yak Skillingwise for making money, I'd probably just do some herb runs. You might be able to do frosts, but I hear it's awful without a yak. You might be able to do TDs, but I hear it's awful without a uni. DKs would probably be your best bet currently. I'm sure Quyneax still has that universal post lying around, detailing what everyone should have for slayering (and that mostly carries over to bossing) Lastly, I'm curious as to why some fields are whited out.

Agility, penance horn or not?
Just consider if you enjoy playing BA more than doing straight agility. Even if you found an awful team and your XP gains turned out to be exactly the same, I personally would find it to be worth it since I find BA with a bad team to still be at least a teensy weensy bit more enjoyable than training agility. I've also heard of some good clans out there that consist of mostly good players, but you need rank 5 in most roles and have some penance equipment to show your own experience in the game.

Just WHAT is a solid money gaining activity?
Nothing compared to bossing, merchanting, or someone who's skilled/lucky at PVP. A lot of even high level skills have bots at them. So aside from farming, everything is basically flooded.

Farming Torstols at 83
fml Guess I'll just make cash by some other means while I hope and pray that torsts go back up. Maybe the new pray pot hit the prices? Or was it just BXP dumps?
-
96-99 Farming
From 96 farming, you'll get 99 in no time. Assists are gravy, but torstols really do give a ton of XP. Just do as many runs as you can a day and you'll get it in no time at all. I personally got 99 farm because I liked the skill. It never really felt like a tedious grind for me because it's essentially non-grindable (this was before livid farm and no one does vinesweeper  ) Good luck on your first 99. I know farming as my own first 99 was a great feeling and I'm probably going to keep it untrimmed for a while.

Farming Torstols at 83
Anyone think that torsts are ever going to reach 40k+ again? I've got around 500 herbs stored up and was planning on selling right around BXP, but I was busy for that week and didn't get a chance to unload. Now they seem to be diving pretty hard and I'll lose 5-10 M if I sell now. I want to stick to my guns and just hope they rise again, but if someone thinks that torstols are going to be permanently sub 35k then I might as well cut my losses.

How do you pray when 360s and 180s are around. Just lure the 180s behind the 360s and prot mage until dead?

So uh, what happened to this game?
I've found where they landed and found out the reason for the move, thanks for the offer though. I personally didn't find them annoying. Sure they were extremely blunt and at times came off as a bit self-deserving with a bit of I'm-right-you're-wrong-ness, but pretty much everything they said was either informative, insightful, or entertaining for me.

Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
I voted for LoL. I actually enjoy that game for fun nowadays.
-
So uh, what happened to this game?
If you're happy playing old content that has no bots at it, then yeah, you can stay. If you want to play any new content or walk through the GE, then no. I was taken aback when I saw that even frost dragons were being heavily botted. Even with skill reqs as high as 85 DG and decent CB stats, people are zealous enough to 'risk' their accounts for afk money. But when I think about it more, I guess what it really comes down to is that 'risk' is just about non-existent. Bummer. I really liked this game too.
-
So uh, what happened to this game?
Ah ok. Well I guess that clarifies a few things from what I've been seeing. I can't say I really have a firm opinion on it all. A lot of the main things I play this game for (farming, occasional DGing, questing, play obscure minigames for fun like tai bwo wannai cleanup) don't seem to be extremely affected yet. Sure Jagex is coming off as greedy/apathetic/etc, but as long as I can keep doing what I want to do then I'm mostly fine. I used to slay a bit, but I guess that'll be slowed a bit with all the bots. It's a shame a lot of people are dissatisfied with the game and a lot of the community has just become worse and worse.
