Conquest is only really faster if you don't have a 120+ veteran lander clan. However, I find conquest to be a lot less stale than the same attacking over and over again and it certainly feels like a lot less time because you're thinking and being engaged a lot more. Also you should be playing conquest to try and get 1250 rank for deflector anyway.

Full rune + MSSB at ice giants/ice warriors sounds like it could be viable. Would have to spend less time to safespot, providing a semi-afk source of XP and semi-decent drops.

While a torag's/dharok's/other melee top might be overkill in some situations, it's hard to deny the usefulness of verac's +4. But even with that, the whopping 4k/hr to maintain (50 smith) is enough to turn people off. I'll agree that it's more of a nuisance than an actual game balance, but OCD and cosmetics aside, I see no good reason why people would refuse to use it.

Why is it that so many people absolutely detest the degradation of items? With the release of the Nex drops, I've read tons of RSOF responses saying that "omg it's crap because it has same str as bandos, but degrades D:" I've known people who refuse to use barrows and will pick dragon over it because of degradation, even though it's remarkably cheap to maintain. There are even those who think chaotics are crappy since you have to pay to keep using them. Is it the actual cost? In most cases, items don't actually cost that much to maintain, especially with great armour like barrows costing like 10K/hr to maintain. Could it be the "inconvenience" of having to actually go repair the item after "x" hours? It seems a rather small point to me since most items last 10+ hours, which is a lot longer than people tend to camp at certain spots. Aside from the crystal items, degrading items keep their stats constant until they fully break.

By doing a direct house teleport, you forgo the loading time of the city of Yanille itself and then having to then click on the portal and then the host's name. There are other added hassles such as houses closing.

Lunars is best for farming overall and you can just book swap for trollheim ports. So assuming on lunars: Fruit Tree/Regular Tree runs Catherby Teleport Dueling ring Tiny elf crystal Chipped home teletab 1. Catherby teleport gets you to the fruit tree east of the main area 2. Duelling ring to mobilising armies spirit tree and then spirit tree to gnome village. As soon as you're done that tree, dueling ring -> gnome stronghold. 3. At this point, I like to do the regular tree at the stronghold. Grab some logs from the bank or chop some and take the balloon to Taverly to do the tree there. 4. Chipped home teletab brings you to brimhaven, do the tree there and run to the calquat if you like. 5. Lletya teleport and final fruit tree. Remaining regular trees are varrock, lumbridge, and fally, so the respective teletabs would take care of those. Bush patches Chipped home teletab Ardy cape Combat brace Dueling ring/Misc teleport scroll/some means to get to a fairy ring/lyre 1. Teletab brings you to Rimmington 2. Ardy cape does south ardy patch 3. Combat brace gets you to champs guild 4. If you have a spirit tree in etceteria, dueling ring to mob armies, teleport to to the tree there. Otherwise just use a scroll, but that can get pricey since the berries aren't worth much. You can also fairy ring there or just use a lyre.

Can you get rocks from jadinko "box" trapping?

Would it be reasonable to swap out the mage cape completely for the ardy cape 3? Since max mage bonus isn't that necessary, +6 mage seems fine and the benefits are having a decent prayer cape. In doing that, you could forgo bringing a SW cape for pray bonus and then just bring an extra pray pot, which I'm could make trips last longer.

Can you tell me more about your setup? What you did is pretty much what I'm looking to do, I just don't even know where to start. Have a look at Unknown_Warriors guide in the AoW. It's aimed at someone with 81+ hunter already, but it does cover a lot of the basics to get started. I in fact just started doing this about an hour ago with 68 hunter (had a bunch of hunter pots) and it's working quite swimmingly. My basic setup was just 4 traps bought from Mambo as that's all you really need. Here's what I did to get started: 1. Teleport to the area and talk to mambo a bit. Get some free seeds from him. 2. Head south and over the vine and clear all the patches of weeds. Supercomp and plant the red blossom into the flower patch. 3. Get out of the farming area and you should already start seeing a whole bunch of commons walking around. Go ahead with regular box trapping. I had a few arctic bears as well and after my little run of 160ish catches, I had 3 ugune seeds.

Is it feasible to expect to get ugunes from common Jadinkos? I'm only 68 hunter and am expecting to use oo'glog + hunter pots to level up a bit catching just common ones since this place is purported to be pretty good xp. However if I can get my hands on those awesome farming jujus then all the better. I've also only got 60 construction. Also do we really need 20-25 bank spots for this? I know there are a lot of seeds and such, but I can see myself sparing 10 at most. One last thing, since this is kinda like "box trapping" for some of the jadinkos, can you get shattered heart rocks?

Why have you knocked off slayer? FSH + fero is a pretty good combo and there are a good number of creatures that are rangeable. Karil's xbow would probably be your best bet as it combines a great combination of strength, speed (which greatly augments the fero), and accuracy. If not that, I suggest addy darts as they're relatively cheap and tick faster.

I would really only suggest you "power farm" up to 85 and then switch to a more casual approach, doing only cheap trees like willows and pineapples. Once you get to 85, there really isn't anything left useful in the skill except for a few applications in dungeoneering that aren't even that necessary. Unless you're really gunning for that farming cape, which I'll admit is something I've been after for a while, I'd take farming nice and slow and let the cash pile up from herb runs.

I've always wondered if the extra chances to save you get by making 3 bar items is worth the extra time you need to get the same amount of xp as making plates.

You can actually take advantage of the CT bots. If you have decent cb stats, a super set/extremes, and a really strong weapon like a GS or even a chaotic rapier you can land a few hits here and there on each dragon and steal all the kills.

Elemental shield is also unbuyable and I needed one today so I think I'll hold onto that one. @Last The main reason I don't use a full kit is because if I go into the wildy I'm afraid I'll die to revs. Forinthy may block teleblock, but you can still be frozen and take a massive amount of damage. Not to mention that teleports don't work past 20. However, I'll definitely work out of a strategy to deal with revs, although things could be diff with wildy coming back. @Gremmy I'll probably do a few easys and meds just because I'm so new to clues, but I'll probably end up doing only hards and elites.

Ah ok. Are the meerkats useful for clue hunting? Or is their classification as familiars getting in the way of the GE too annoying? Thanks for all the tips so far.

Well I've got pretty much every single jewelry teleport in large numbers and have access to all main spell book teleports. Are the lunar/ancient teleports useful? I'll look into the Urri emote items and see for myself what's GEable and what's not. Forinthy bracelets sound like a good idea too.

So after about 2 years of membs and having the same hard clue scroll sitting in my bank for all this time, I've decided to finally start doing clues. What sort of items should I have aside from the compass/watch and other tools I need? Any general tips for doing them?

Would this not be equivalent to having an air staff equipped and just having a stack of fires in your invent? you would have to have a stack of laws & fires in your inventory which would take up 2 spots compared to just having 1 varrock teletab opening up that one extra spot for another log 1 extra log vs 400 gp...difficult to justify in my opinion unless you're going all out for xp. Not to mention teletabs take slightly longer to use.

Cool stuff. I only reached 60 on my acc like a week ago. It's definitely a long shot from 81, 85, 99, or 120, but damn, is it ever satisfying to get a nice round number.

As long as it doesn't get rid of the GE, make it dysfunctional, and it doesn't disrupt my activities in the wild, I'm indifferent.
