Replacement for Gear
Yes, I'm looking for a replacement for the rune kite to use while ranging if I need to tank.

Replacement for Gear
Sorry sorry sorry, I think people have been misinterpreting my post from the very beginning. I'm looking for a shield to use while ranging. My bad. I probably should have kept my post a little shorter. As for moonclan/lunar, the bonuses are worse than that of full mystic/sacred clay. I'm looking for a superior set, not a cheaper set here. I might just have to go make some money and get Ahrims <_< And as for black dhide and void, RobinHoodie's guide seems to give a nice comprehensive description of what to void and what not to void

Replacement for Gear
I suppose it does a little. However it's not really clear when a monster has "high" ranged defence. But I'm still not convinced that +10% ranged accuracy is trumped by some ranged accuracy bonus.

POLL: How many days have you spent online RuneScape?
Does this thing only count P2P hours? Because I think I should have played a little more than 74 days over 6 years of F2P and 1 year of P2P

Replacement for Gear
So at 82 ranged, at what ranged bonus would make a notable improvement in hit accuracy over 10% ranged accuracy from void?

Replacement for Gear
2. I'm looking for a replacement for the kite while tanking. Surely you don't mean to say that the rune defender would be suitable for range tanking. I guess the dragon sq is the only real logical step up from the kite. In fact, I currently have 4 rune defenders and do indeed always use them for meleeing unless special slayer circumstances dictate otherwise. 3. Does the high ranged bonus matter more than the +10% overall accuracy?

It appears that you're correct zaaps as you are bladewing. Too bad bone bolts and bronze knives aren't a part of the exception.

Replacement for Gear
I'm currently looking at my bank and I'm thinking that some of my gear isn't really quite that useful. So I've decided to upgrade, toss, or set aside (Turn into item sets  ) Magic: Currently my main maging kit is full sacred clay mage robes. They're the same stats as mystic and I had gotten a lot of SC points so that's why I got them in the first place. However, the magic attack bonuses are a little lackluster when stacked against other set-ups. Now the obvious choice would probably be Ahrim's, but it's a little pricey right now. I might get it later on as it seems to be falling it a bit now. I'm looking at the Battle Robes right now. They're actually pretty close to Ahrim's, at least in magic attack bonus and they're quite cheap. The recharge prices are a tiny bit of a turn off, but I could always just play for a while to get the tokens and recharge them when I need to do so. That set effect is also enticing, saving a tiny bit on spell costs. Any other alternatives I should be considering? Rune Kite: Normally, I use a rune plate with a dragon skirt for monster killing that doesn't require Barrows, but requires a little more than my black dragon hide. However, I could use the SC robe top I'm looking to get rid of and turn that into a SC platebody, replacing my rune plate. How does this have anything to do with my rune kite? Well I've been looking to turn my rune armour into a set to save some space (I'm still keeping it on hand for any instance of me going F2P). While on P2P, I have substitutes for the rune full, rune plate, and rune legs, but I don't have a substitute for my rune kite, which I use for range tanking ATM. So what would be a good replacement? I can't afford a blessed square shield though. Black Dragonhide: I've got full ranged void. Is there any situation where black d'hide + archer helm + barrows gloves would be better than void? Void has very similar mage defence bonuses to black dragon hide and for melee situations I use safespots for the most part anyway. Now I'm not getting rid of my BDH, I'm just wondering if I should be using it for ranging other than scenarios where there are no safespots. Finally, anyone know if the zammy spear is going to keep falling? It seems pretty good for a plethora of applications.

Shop Full Restock
Well that certainly makes stocking up on runes, bone bolts, and bronze knives rather annoying.

Shop Full Restock
When do shops gain their full stock again? 6 hours? 12 hours? 1 day?

Junk Faster Than Profit?!
Mintcakes? At last check, those weren't very rare. Just expensive.

crystal keys
If you just want some solid profit, sell them all. Good luck doing so as most other people also realize the risks. I personally use all my crystal keys. It's always a nice surprise to see 3 rune bars or another key half. You got the keys for free, now see what you get

thieving master farmers
I'm absolutely sure I got a few evil turnip seeds. So that's that one. As for spirit weed seeds, I remember something about Jagex saying that the seeds will only be obtainable as a monster drop.

What more do you really want me to tell you? How much money I've got? I'm 56 herblore ATM. I've already consulted that guide religiously and done most of the quests that suit my needs. In the end, it's still a pretty long ways off. Slayer may be slow, but at least it doesn't cost a huge boatload of money. And money isn't something I have an abundance of. But don't go all opportunity cost on me, because generally I'm not a very efficient money earner either

Usefulness of Compost
But if you have a huge abundance of supercompost (I can get much more than 40 a day), then I might as well be using them on allotments.

Usefulness of Compost
SHHHH! I've been quietly buying them since they cost 300 GP and have a couple hundred now. Now I wasn't talking about making compost, but what to do with the ones I already have. I'm still going to use weeds and such to make supercompost using potions when I'm near a bank and pineapples on other occasions.

Hmm. I guess that eliminates runecrafting from the mix. I'm still torn between prayer, summoning, and now herblore. Prayer is going to be rather constant in price and in keeping with dragon bone prices. I'm not sure how to train summoning effectively (I've got 95% of the xp from ToG and penguins >.>), but I'm pretty sure it's also very pricey. I do have around 2000 herbs saved up from farming to help out with herblore, but after a few calculations, it's going to be a longshot from the really useful potions. I guess I need to really step up my herb farming runs.

FOG Changes?
First of all, let me note that I'm coming from a purely F2P perspective. I'd still like to argue that it is indeed in the spirit of the game. Why on earth would Jagex make your stats so much less effective as the hunted? I'm sorry to say this, but armour means very little in FoG, at least in an F2P setting. As for your friend subzero, there are a few considerations: -It's a clear that the majority of people playing FoG are only training magic and usually use little effort to actually kill you. You'd only need to use pray mage and perhaps use some dhide and last longer than they would. If nothing else, you'd most likely be able to decimate them the next round since they're not as interested in winning. Even more, they could be fail-casting a spell, essentially giving you 5k free charges and a win. -there are almost as many people under level 80 as there are training mage who play FoG. Given this, subzero is also high level for a pure (zerker or 1 def I cannot say because of the HS tables), which may explain why he was so capable of taking you down while you tanked at the center even at level 118. Taking both of these into account, it's easy to say that he's very efficient at taking down most opponents. When pures fight in other PVP settings, their main crux is lacking the defence to block hits and thus needing to pay more attention to their health as they are so much more susceptible to damage. Take out retaliation from the equation, have them standing still like most "tankers" do at the center, where defensive stats are reduced even more, and you've just turned on easy mode for people like subzero -to expand on my point about armour, the reduction in effectiveness of your stats combined with the effects of standing at the center makes armour have very little effect. It's like fighting Jad with even Karil's or armadyl armour on. You can boost your armour as much as you want, but for the most part, the attacks will still get through since your stats and their stats have such a wide gap. I've beaten level 120s on F2P as a level 90 because they tanked at the center while I ran. Why? Because despite their efforts to utilize dragonhide and rune armour, I still managed to land a hit 90% of the time. Prayer is the only thing that can effectively make a difference. Gathering all of these factors together, it's quite clear that bringing up subzero perhaps wasn't the best example to argue against my points. Tbh, to get his level of ranking would take more raw stats and dedication to the game than just "switching armours and prayers" as you've said, but of course subzero still deserves respect for getting that high on the boards. Ergo, from all that has been said, running, hiding, camping, are all completely legitimate ways to play the game. As for whatever defamatory attack anyone may throw, it's time to throw down or shut up.

Lamps boosts on...
I'm looking to use quest rewards and diary lamps on the following three skills. Which one. I'm not sure: Prayer: It's very costly, but it has such a huge return for combat. I'm currently level 66 and need 70 for the Seers and Falador Diaries, which I REALLY want. I still have a few quests that give prayer specific rewards, but my actual goal is 75, not just 70, since at that point I'll be able to use the reward from Blood Runs Deep on prayer, which I feel is the best choice. Runecrafting: Speaks for itself. It's obviously one of the most difficult to train. It's at 62 ATM. Summoning: I'm looking at level 68 for the bunyip, 74 for rock lobsters, and then...well, I don't really care too too much after that. Summoning can be almost as difficult as runecrafting to raise and almost as expensive as some other skills like herblore (Or so I'm told) So what should I direct my XP towards. When I get to doing WGS, the consideration list expands to include herblore and construction.

Quick way to lower farming level?
Didn't some icy area drain all stats? Or was that fighting someone for DT?

FOG Changes?
If you're facing an opponent who is clearly stronger than you, then running is your only option if you want to win. You have no chance of being more successful at tanking than they will be. Thus running, hiding, and camping is the only way to win. And to me, that is keeping in the very spirit of the game.

Usefulness of Compost
See the case is that marigolds could benefit from even MORE security from supercompost. I also am very conscious about my bucket storage and compost levels, so I never run into the problem of not having enough to scoop it out of the bin. Are compost mound familiars worth making?

Ranging Equipment
Note that the spined helm gives the same ranged bonus as the archer helm and costs considerably less. It also looks a little cooler imo

Usefulness of Compost
I'm the kind of farmer that only does a run or two a day and doesn't really pay attention to his plants unless I have A LOT of free time that day. So usually it's either I have them dead or alive. Maybe these have a decent exchange rate in MA

Usefulness of Compost
Hmm...it seems like I've got 255 useless items. Maybe I'll just dump them into the GE and see what happens.
