Even with the higher prices of hides and bones nowadays, green drags are still a very mediocre money maker. To be brutally honest, tanning black d hides is a quicker money maker than green drags.

I've got about 1.5k irits, 400 avantoe, and quite a few other herbs from farming and collection over the past little while. However, I've noticed that some herbs fetch a higher price than others on the GE. Should I dump one type of herb and buy another and make potions out of the cheaper herb?

I FINALLY beat RFD and DT today ( \:D/ ), but when I was about to see the final cutscene, the culinromancer's head glitched and stretched, exploded, and I didn't get to see the final feast :cry: Anyone know where I can watch it?

You should really reconsider and stay around for the long run. Members just makes every much more efficient.

However, maintaining all of these prayers at the same time is going to put a huge drain on prayer points. I wonder if more than 1 person uses a leech or sap on the same monster the drain will stack. I spy a potential rise in prayer pots

Get the highest level of varrock armour you can and make sure you mix in some daily b staves. Even if you don't make them everyday, just buy them and process them at a later date. The entire process of superglass making, glass orb blowing, air orb charging, and finally stave making gives a healthy dose of magic and crafting xp and in the very end profits.

SSong requires Garden of Tranq and One Small Favour, both of which have their own mess of requirements in terms of quests and such. You should probably head out and do a whole bunch of questing before anything else. They're great for introducing you to member areas and unlocking content. That's the very first thing I did. In doing a lot of the quests, you'll be able to get XP rewards that boost some of your low untrained member skills, which removes the need to go through some of the tedious low level work. Anyway, monkfish are most definitely one of the top options for money along with sharks and the LRC fish, but they're a ways off for a brand new member. If you really have a need to go fishing and make money, the fishing guild is your best option.

Yes it is. The requirements are a tad steep though, in terms of other quests completed and skills required. You'd probably be best of trying the guild.

Hmm...I'm compelled to run tests now. But then again, aspeeder did have a point in saying fishing is meant to be a relaxing and AFKish skill.

Would the Ibis/granite lob boost stack with the fishing potion? Do invisible boost stack with visible ones? Tbh, I'd be willing to take a sip if for three minutes I'd be getting slightly enhanced fishing, provided that slight enhancement is actually worthwhile.

As they're relatively cheap at about 100 GP per dose, would it be worthwhile to use fishing potions while fishing close to a bank (ie. Monkfish, Catherby or Guild)? I could just keep a 4 doser in my inventory and take a sip every time I restored back to my base level. Since I'd be close to a bank, I don't think the inventory spot lost would have that significant of a difference. If anything I could probably just drop the potion, bank, and come back to pick it up. How much would an average 2 level boost help?

SS might be out of his price range. The obby sword and berserker necklace purportedly has good XP rates for low defence monsters.

Be forewarned that you should beware of suggestions to get the fighter torso. Multiple threads and posts have been made describing it's horrible inefficiency. Unless you thoroughly enjoy playing BA, consider the following: -what's wrong with a rune plate? They are a great piece of armour and their effectiveness shouldn't be neglected. The next closest thing in terms of cost would be a granite body, but those things protect marginally more, but weigh like 2x more and cost 3x more. -at 70 defence, Barrows is about as good as it gets in terms of a cost vs defence rating. There are few chest plates out there that protect more than a good ol Torag plate and most of them cost many times more Do you also need replacements for your other armour?

And you've ignored the fact that this was also posted about 3 months before this LRC update. While "crash" isn't quite appropriate (however the 1-2 days right after the update did see a huge plummet), the prices of gold ore have definitely been dropping down by a steady amount.

Well are you going for money? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you're just going to grind for XP if you're already at 99. I'd say go for a money making method such as air orb charging or glass making.

You also don't really need 1GB of on-board unless you're playing something with really intense textures (ie. Crysis) so 512 should be more than enough. I highly recommend the ATI 5870 or the nVidia 9800 GT. Both phenomenal cards and are probably the best bang for your buck on today's market. If you're really penny pinching, the 8800GT is still a beast and can still hold a candle to Crysis at highish settings. If you're willing to fork out more, nVidia 285 GTX.
