What to wear with my...
Full Lord Marshall set!!! \:D/ Just got my rank 300 today (Going for a few reward creds though) and got the full lord marshall set. With that, what weapon, shield, ammy, and cape should I wear to compliment it? I don't have any 99s or a quest cape, but I've got a good amount of quest items (244 QPs). I was considering a D2H, but it's a little pricey.

Farming Runs
Most things you use with supercompost almost never die. Supercompost is just an amazing complement to farming. I've planted maybe 50 jade vines and only ever had 2 die. All thanks to supercompost. Herbs like Metallica said also rarely die with supercompost. Just about anything you plant should get a dose of the stuff. The exceptions are perhaps crops which you have protection on and just want to increase the yield slightly (regular compost) or fruit/regular trees, which are in general valuable enough to warrant properly protecting. Even then, orange trees and under are definitely supercomposting trees.

Whip prices?
She'd make a fortune if she sold them before they crashed

Best Manage the Kingdom Resource.
The weed patch by the bush definitely does give you approval rating. You can see the farmer say thanks as you rake em up. I rake the weeds up everyday while on my daily farm run. Fish is by far the most stable source, but as others have said herbs have appreciated in price by a fair amount.

blast furnace
My method: Bring X amount of noted mithril and 2Y amount of noted coal. Bring some SC hammers if you have them. Of course, you'll also need some cash (Just bring like 2 mill and you should be covered for quite a while  ) So you have 2 spots for the noted ores, 1 spot for money, and maybe a few SC tools. If you plan on fixing the machine ever, pick up a regular hammer to save chargers on your SC hammers and a bucket or two full of water. Load up coal 20 at a time until there's 200 in the machine. Then go for 20 mithril at a time. As the bars come out, take em and make mithril bolts (unf). If you don't plan on helping with the machine, bring along the proper amount of feathers (Mith ore x10) and just fletch them while you wait for bars to come out/cool down. Analysis: Mithril and coal have gone up slightly since I last did this. Profit margins maybe a lot lower than before. To improve profit, use coal from MTK. I do 20 coal and 20 mithril at a time since it's a lot easier to keep track of the ores and the nice and even numbers fit nicely together.

Going F2P
Refer to my guide. Along with my tips, you can also find shade_bandyt's guide on placeholders. Sorry for the colour scheme. It looks weird now that the background to these forums is white. I'm going to have to fix that some time <_<

Junk items to fill up bank
MA contracts will be a quick 7 spots.

What do to with junk
How much are they buying for? Does the buying price deteriorate at the same rate as before?

What do to with junk
So I've got 14k willow long (u)s in my bank from long stint of fletching and now I'm not sure what to do. I don't have many items to loan for large wads of cash and I don't know how useful the junk could be anyway since they've plummeted since the shops update. However, I am playing quite a bit of MA. Should I keep the junk for trades or just dump it into MA?

What to do while high alching?
There's been one thing I've been thinking about trying whilst high alching, but haven't really gotten the chance to try out. If you've done the observatory quest, you'll know that there's a 1 dose super anti-p pot near some ruins. While you alch, just pick them up as you go and combine them as needed. It's not much, but it requires less attention than the egg spawn method. Generally, anything you do while alching is going to be a balance of required attention and profit.

personalized shops is the very LAST straw jagex
I'm pretty sure they were high in demand prior to the update, which is why they always maintained an above average price among the elemental runes. With the stores that provided infinite runes gone, supply < demand. RC is the main source I believe. BTW, why is the spacing for quoted posts so large and unnecessary

F2P Melee Training Highest XP per hour????
Then...a corrupt dragon long. Or dragon b axe  But honestly, just use a rune scim, power ammy, strength pot, and pop on some prayers. Go fight some level 50 spiders and you'll pretty much be getting the best xp there is in F2P.

Do you care about cash? Because you could buy a bunch of corrupt dragon scimitars and train at flesh crawlers or level 50 spiders

F2p drops
Greaters are also found in the wilderness volcano. While it is unclear whether or not revs actually enter the volcano, it is still very good alternative to the 45+ wildy location that existed before.

F2P Armor & Robe Suggestions.
For cheap ranged training, use a crossbow with bronze bolts. They're worth a piddly amount and they hit as hard has iron arrows.

Minigames that supply FREE runes
He just wanted a minigame that wanted free runes, not just profitable or free magic training methods :P But yes, I'll agree that orb charging, glass making, or superheating would all be much better alternatives UNLESS they didn't want to pay attention to what they were doing.

Sinkhan's Quick and Dirty Guide to Auto-Failcasting FoG for Free Magic XP Steps 1. Get a full set of metal armour (Bronze is fine) and then any d vambs and any metal boots (Boots from the SoS work) 3. When hunting, begin autocasting your best offensive spell (Highest Magic XP) Analysis of Methodology From new players to pures to poor people, FoG is commonly used to raise magic XP for cheap. However, they generally aim to kill their opponent when they are the hunter, which is their biggest mistake. Under the best case scenario, a player could have 99HP and use all of their bandages. At most, this is a mere 125 magic xp (XP in FoG is halved, unfortunately). This amounts to about the same XP as just 8 castings of Fire Blast, the best F2P spell. However, once you realize that most people don't have 99 HP and the whole autodamage system is in effect, it's much lower. The best thing to do then is to capitalize on your time hunting and failcast as many spells as you can, getting all of the base XP. Since you have remarkably low magic bonus, you'll pretty much never hit. You spend more time on casting - you don't have to be hunted as much or have to wait in the lobby as much. Rates Spells are cast once every 2.4 seconds. At 17.25 per casting of fire blast, this amounts to 25875XP per hour as a cyclic rate (I'm not sure what would be the correct term, so a I brought in something from automatic weapons  ) Actual rate will probably be closer to 20K-22K with the lobby wait time and hunted time. If you're P2P, this ramps up to 40500XP per hour if you cast Miasmic barrage  Pros -Free : -Requires minimal attention since you autocast and wait (I watch YT vids  ) -OK xp rates Cons -There are much more efficient methods of gaining magic xp out there (Fail Cursing, Superheating, Alching). However, these require much more attention -Wait time is a bit of a bother -Sometimes targets run away from you, but that shouldn't be much of a problem Conclusion This is an improvement upon basic FoG magic xp gains where one simply attempts to kill their opponent. It is by no means the most efficient method other there, but is excellent for those with VERY little money, have very low levels, or don't want to pay much attention to RS itself, but still want to gain magic xp.

~Range 2H F2P PKing Guide~ [Update(s): Feb. 21st, 2011]
I've been really wanting to get into the PVP scene lately. (I've had an RS account for 6 years and only once killed someone. It was under the new bounty worlds and I got a half eaten pie and two empty vials :/) This seems to be an interesting start. Just a few things: Vampire Slayer - Why not do this as early as possible? Wouldn't you benefit from the extra levels early on to get a nice boost in training? Instead of using the reward as a leap from 38-40, you could take advantage of the experience earlier on and it would help out with getting levels later on. Prayer - 44 pray? I'd also like to know how a ranged tank would be build and how they fare.

Use of Magic for F2P PVP
I never meant to be a mage pure with 10 HP. I'm mainly going ranged (34 ATM, going for 40 in the short run), but I'm wondering if it would be worth bringing some mage gear and some runes for stat affecting spells. The Tip.it combat calc says I can go up to 41 mage with 40 ranged at only 30 combat. That'll give me a max hit of 13 backed up by some decent ranging. My only concern is my magic accuracy. It'll be pretty low in ranging gear.
