  1. A shizzle load of arguments here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=808534
  2. Generally, either barely profit, almost break even, or lose a tiny bit. The only real advantage to it is that you gain oodles of magic experience and it's quite a bit faster than regular smelting. Regular smelting will pretty much always profit in any situation, except for like gold and silver. It's just slower. Superheating is definitely the way to go if you want to raise your smithing and magic at the same time. It costs very little or profits a little. Otherwise, the blast furnace is a very good option. I got 65-74 smithing there with a few hammers and a boatload of coal and mithril. Smithing bolts will profit, smithing platebodies will be super fast.
  3. Get varrock armour 2 (I think you can get it with your stats) and make sure you mix in battlestaves. They're profitable and give a decent amount of xp.
  4. For max ranged bonus, swap the fury for the amulet of ranging
  5. Also, what would the stats of a ranged tank be?
  6. Assuming I had a really high magic level and didn't raise HP while I raised it, would there be any point to using magic in F2P PVP? I'm mainly looking at confuse and weaken to lower attack and strength and possibly curse for defence pures. Would these spells compliment a range/2her or should I just use the extra attack cycles to simply fight them?
  7. My biggest gripe with this update is the horrid looks of every item in the inventory/bank/store. All of them seem quite a bit distorted, jagged, and pasty almost (Look at a rune). A lot of items have been desaturated in colour and lost their shiny look (Molten glass and potions come to mind). I'm almost sure someone else has noticed this. The actual in-game graphics look fine, although I haven't noticed a huge difference. I notice no lag and haven't really experienced any sort of misclicking that people seem to be complaining about. I even noticed how nice the reflection effects were now when I saw the reflectiveness of my dragon scimmy when I rotated my camera. The cursors would probably be something that a new player might enjoy, but I for one am too used to having a regular cursor so that feature has been left off for me. I have yet to have any sort of major opinion of the autocasting update, but it does seem to make the void mace a little less useful, canceling my plans to get one any time soon. As for shops, I think they need to change it so that certain items have a limited stock and others don't. Items like unfinished broad bolts can't be traded anyway, so how could they be affected by mechanting clans at all?
  8. Superheating, smithing at the blast furnace, and crafting battlestaves come to mind.
  9. I still don't mind. How should I build an intermediary, mid-level PKer, and then what should be my long term stats?
  10. My thoughts exactly.
  11. It's quite useful for the Jade Vine since the magic defence bonuses are comparable to black dragon hide. The +10% str and attk make up for my losses from the gloves, d boots, neit helm, etc.
  12. #-o Sorry about that. Other than the fury, I'd use that money to invest in skills like already mentioned. Getting 60 prayer for chivalry is a good investment.
  13. I'm not looking at the actual price difference. I'm looking at how many times more expensive item x is than item y and then comparing their stats. The D med is roughly 3x more than a rune full, but barely 10% better overall. Of course, this isn't quite the case with weapons.
  14. Granted my example was an overwhelming exaggeration, my point is that if there's a much cheaper alternative and you're not sacrificing a great deal, go for the cheaper option unless you can really afford it. 3 million is still a considerable amount for low to mid-leveled players or those who don't have much to begin with. The +2 pray and strength along with the +12 defence doesn't justify getting it over a glory, which is considerably less, unless you have sufficient funds. On top of that, you risk losing a lot less if you were to die with the item. The +12 defence lowers the amount of food you'll need over time; it doesn't do much to prevent KOs. Perhaps a better comparison would be the D med and the rune full.
  15. Well the Elysian SS is probably the best shield in the game, but you don't see everyone rushing towards to get it. If there's a cheaper alternative that sacrifices little, I say go for that instead unless you really have the money to blow.
  16. 6k at Lumbridge Castle is about 5 hours. I can do 1.2k an hour there. It'd be quite a bit quicker if you had a Seers Headband 2 and did it in Catherby, but seeing as your summoning doesn't meet the req, I guess that's out of the question.
  17. I'd rather not start over just because my prayer bumped up my level by 2.
  18. Attack/Strength: 20 Def: 1 Mage: 31 (Planning on getting it to 37 soon) Pray: 13 (Should I get it to 43 for protection prayer?) Ranged: 24 HP: 23 What should be the main focus for this character?
  19. They went up, eh? Guess it's time to churn out a new batch :
  20. You could use a familiar or some pizzas to bolster your health.
  21. Essentially, Torag was a beast and his armour was overall the strongest. However when buying, you should consider Guthan and Dharok pieces as all three brothers sometimes switch around in terms of price and ease of purchase. You must also remember external factors such as prayer bonus and mage defence, which can at times be more important.
  22. Superheating Steel or Mithril :-w
  23. They would have had to create the account in RSC before the RS2 conversion. Those old accounts would have still had the 9hp that RSC characters started with. All accounts from RS2 and onward started out with 10HP
  24. Even without a terrorbird or any familiar, you can still run for a remarkably long with the new tweak to energy. The added feature of rest just makes it even more pointless to get an energy pot.
  25. How do 1 def pures fare in F2P?
