  1. I've made a brand new account (Thinking on a pure...) and am looking to finish the diary Lumbridge diary. Between the lamps from the SoS and the other thingy near it with the roaches, and the lamps from the diary itself, should I be boosting smithing? It seems like the most difficult skill to train of them all in F2P. I'm going to have to check out the quest rewards and reqs to make sure I don't have to gain any def so I can finish them all and also just start D slay, but if anyone already knows, that would be cool :
  2. Damage them first, THEN use a bunch of the appropriate elemental spells to heal it.
  3. Well some would argue that the time saved by using a whip to slay up all those tasks could have been put to use to other more profitable endeavours, amounting to more than the value of several whips  But yes, get the whip regardless of the price. You have the money and it's entirely worth it. It's probably the best investment you'll make for awhile.
  4. I heard somewhere that it was to make so sellers wouldn't be totally ripped off for their items and common skilled items wouldn't become super deflated. Fire runes and similar items that people generate a great number of would be going for less than half than they are now. Willow logs would be at like 2 GP right now
  5. Archer's Ring (i) And to the above poster, snakeskin boots are only 17k :? Broads = Addy, not just "about equal strength."

+1 That or your offer wasn't high enough.
  7. You finished the quest right? If you have, he's just standing in his house, still pawning off rope. He's near the Draynor bank and will have the green achievement diary near the building if you've done the diary (Or there might be one even if you haven't done the diary, I'm not sure) If you haven't finished the quest, the way to get to Crandor is by going into the Karamja volcano. From the entrance, go North, past the spiders, and then push the wall. Keep going north and you'll see a rope near some skeletons. Bang, you're on Crandor :
  8. What it IS good for is for one off things like a Zanik xbow or Dark bow spec just to heighten your chances of a hit and a little extra damage. After that just immediately go back to rapid.
  9. 1. With the box, select to save up for the costume. 2. At the clothes store in Varrock talk to Iffie, not Thessalia
  10. How many patches are you doing? If you're doing 4-5, I'd say keep it for the second last one or third last. That way you won't have to wait til the very last one, but it almost ensures the first few will have completed their cycles.
  11. Hmm...I feel like comp's rant totally rips this guide to shreds, leaving only a few sections to be relevant.
  12. Watering is only good if you're planting crops without a protective plant (ie strawberries if you don't have access to lilies) It reduces the chance of disease for that cycle. I always water my marigolds.
  13. Not so much hard as just really tedious and long.
  14. 26kers get no respect. it should be considered bug abuse. hopefully it gets nerfed soon How is it a bug at all? They openly stated the amounts that you need to stake to max out your potential and you're just taking advantage of it. It's like using a safespot while ranging or not contributing to the blast furnace.
  15. Spin flax until you have around 200K. Then 26k it up all the way
  16. A rune defender adds almost a quarter of the whip's slash bonus. It's strength bonus is just the cherry on top.
  17. Guh, one of my farming secrets given away  I remember the days when SC potions were only 427 GP Well now it's out and potions are steadily going up in price. I've had an offer in for 2 weeks without a potion at max. Guess it's time to brush up on some minesweeper.
  18. I guess now's a good time for an update. *updates*
  19. Wizard Robes = Black Robes Post a screen of you wearing both proving me otherwise. 1. I have steels for cheap training, addys for PvP (Which honestly, I don't do actually  ). Mithrils are actually just drops. In the end, I still have 8 spots left. So let's say I get rid of the mithrils. Now I have 9 :P I'm agree with you as well to a certain point. While +4 anything except for prayer bonus can usually be considered as negligible *cough* Zerker vs Warrior Ring *cough*, F2P bonuses are already so low that every addition helps especially when it comes to magic. However, you do make a good point about utilizing GEBanking. Hmm...this is a bit of a variant and more expanded version of wormy's post. I'll be sure to add it in for the next edition, if I ever get to it
  20. How many do you get for a win/loss for scenarios other than conflict? (2 and 1) I thought I just played a game of hoard and lost, but got 3 rank points.
  21. Siege is interesting, but can take quite a bit longer. So far the best strategy I've come up with is to bring 3 walls and 2 distracts. Block off the other people's walls ASAP and charge at your own wall with 6 heavy units. Stack your units near only one tower so both aren't firing at you (Does anyone know if the towers hit one squad or many?) Make sure to efficiently micro your remaining 4 collecting squads, which all should be light.
  22. For games where enemies are all heavies: Look as difficult to beat as possible early game, but send harassment units out to stir up a commotion. How do you do this? If you've got the well-rounded triple even split between Es, Ds, and Gs, make your tenth a light squad of your choice (I like goblins or elves). Stack 1 of each heavy squad on top of each other and space each stack of your units far enough such that chins or cannons don't affect all of them. Send out your light squad and harass other armies. Try to get them to follow you, but don't let them hit you. Lead them on and try to get them involved with other armies. If you're lucky, one will jump the gun and start attacking the other, pulling more and more armies into the fray. Anything to try and annoy those turtlers...
  23. Cannons are nearly instant. They give almost no time to maneuver units out (At least not with the laggy controls -.- ) I've managed to move 3-4 squads out of the way when a chin strikes. It's just too much of a delay. In general, 3-4 cannons with the remainder as distraction is the best combination.
  24. True, but they're highly inefficient. They're worth 4 times less in investment credits than their GP junk value. However if you don't have any worthwhile items for lending and don't think you will in the near future, then this would be the way to go.
  25. It's pretty annoying how you have to spam destination clicks before they actually move. It's really choppy and unresponsive. Units have a delay before they respond. This game is a nice addition, but it's got a lot of smoothing out to do.
