  1. I think more F2P accesible minigames with much more member features would be good updates to satiate both parties. One is getting a hint of the goodness and getting things mixed up while the others get the extra content they wanted. I really hoping this new skilling/combat minigame will be partially F2P  The RTS looking game seems to have good chances of being P2P only, but I'm ok with that.

Ok. So let's take it from a melee stand point. Would it make sense if the bots were on the same square and the barrelchest anchor would beat a dagger? I can see what you're trying to argue here, but don't see the relevance. There have been cases where a meleer and ranger are standing 1 square away from a monster spawn, but the ranger's animation starts first. I never brought up the arrow travel time. There has to be more to the whole Internet latency argument.
  3. Unless F2P players can't retrieve it after the quest goes P2P only and Maggie disappears from the F2P world. Then we're stuck with a useless broom...in our banks  Who said you wont be able to get it back? All holiday items are retrievable, if you got them from someone else or not. It's NOT a holiday item. It's a QUEST item.
  4. People, people! If you all would just turn your attention to my F2P banking guide, I'm sure things will become clear : Anyway, I have to side with this argument somewhat. The main problem is that many people don't know the reasoning behind using a bank. (Which is why if you need help, you should visit my guide  ) My following arguments assume that the player is rather intelligent and has a decent amount of experience with the game (IE. Doesn't keep empty vials in their bank). Oh and F2P. I think that all of the gems are worth mentioning. Randoms are all too happy to spring the odd sapphire on you when you're least expecting it and unless you're one of the odd people who doesn't want a 400 GP rock over a salmon or 173GP coal, most people will probably have gems in their banks. In a grand respect, banking boils down to two concepts: Value and Convenience. In the F2P world, we have to for the most part lean over towards the value side. Most of our bank space is devoted to the most valuable items. Convenience in F2P also isn't quite like convenience in P2P. Members typically will have tinderboxes, needles, thread, and the like just to save them a trip to the general or specialty store. F2Pers choose whether or not they want their armour readily available at the cost of 4ish spaces or have them converted into an item set, but have to go to the GE every time they want to use it. However, it just takes some good space management some logic (Do I want to save a trip to a general store or have full rune in my bank?) to make good use of the space. I have to side with the person who said that people don't wear it because of its incumbency. Full rune definitely takes a large chunk of your run time. People can run away from randoms. You're joking right? Iron is VERY common amongst budgeted pures or even people powertraining. Steels are quite often used by higher up players. Conversely, I've rarely seen anybody training with mithril or adamant. Quite honestly if I was given the space, I'd keep every single random event item I could. The robes pointless? I think not. I, like many others, actually think they're the most practical mage robes in F2P. They provide a sizable improvement over basic wizard robes, but also have the advantage that they don't degrade with use as opposed to FoG robes. They're also very snazzy and have shvveet goggles. \ RCing tabs are also the only 1-click telly in F2P. You also lose very little if you were to die with them.

Not a chance; it's whoever's signal for 'attack' gets to the game's server first. That has to do with factors like internet speed and network latency; the ranger\magers do have an advantage in that they won't have to dance around with the monster should they be incorrectly positioned. Not entirely true. It's a combination of clicking speed, Internet speed, weapon speed. Take this example: We have two identical computers with the same Internet connection in the same house (Provided that this was allowed by Jagex of course) and both have bots running RS with precise timing to click on a monster spawn at the exact same time. One bot is using a battle axe whereas the other is using a shortbow on rapid. The archer will always win. Using the weapon speeds given in the RS KB, the same could be said of pretty much any two weapons. To bring this example to the extreme, would it make sense if a guy with a barrelchest anchor beat another guy with knives just because his Internet was slightly faster?
  6. The fish table that ladycai brought up should give you rough estimates. However, I find that the trend is that about double the minimum level is about when you stop burning.
  7. At a cost of about 100 gp per hide. Clay is totally free. BTW, you CAN use the same jug to wet 27 clays in a single inventory. Why do people not get that?
  8. Unless F2P players can't retrieve it after the quest goes P2P only and Maggie disappears from the F2P world. Then we're stuck with a useless broom...in our banks
  9. So where will even the members get their brooms back?
  10. Now the only question is if we'll be able to retrieve it after it becomes a members only quest since the destroy option says that we have to go to Maggie to get a new one.
  11. Hmm...well being underground and staying on for a long time seem to both increase the chances for at least me. I recently superheated like 600 bars but only got the magic box. Maybe I should do large amounts. Thanks everyone. With some luck, I'll get that mask in no time. :
  12. I'm fully aware that getting ANY sort of random event is in large part a random sort of thing, but I really really really want that full mime. So does anyone know any places where they seem to get more MoM events or how to increase events in general? I myself have definitely had more mazes in the SoS than any other place.
  13. Nonetheless, it's going to be a pain even with 7 open spots in my bank right now. I'm still waiting on the MoM to give me a mime mask and some other randoms
  14. But it is a quest related item...so I'll probably wait until Halloween is over, see if I can find Maggie and talk to her while dropping my broom. If she doesn't give me one, I'll pick it back up and check Diango. Otherwise, this things is going to suck up another spot in my bank -.-
  15. Also, can the broom be retrieved in F2P when the quest becomes P2P only? Maybe someone could enlighten us all ask on the forums and hope a mod answers
  16. Sweet dealio. Prayer XP, here I come :
  17. So I take it there isn't anything else you can do with the broom in F2P after the quest. Anyone know how much XP the goulash gives?
  18. I've never actually heard of burying bones in the wildy giving any more XP. However, if that's that case, looks like I'll need to be paying BH a visit... Anyway, buying a dump load of big bones and burying them at a bank is about as fast as you'll get in F2P.
  19. Smithing might be a huge loss, but in the end, wouldn't it be cool to be able to smith your own rune plate?
  20. Sweet deal. I should be able to make an ample supply of delicious training anchovy pizzas :
  21. On the Tip.it cooks guide, it gives rough approximations as to when one stops burning lobster, tuna, swordfish and sharks. Lobsters apparently stop burning at around lvl 74 without the cooking gauntlets and have a cooking requirement of 40. Pizzas have a cooking base of 35. Should I expect them to stop burning at around the same level as lobster?
  22. If you're going to superheat at all, it's best to di mithril bars the moment you can. So smith/smelt to 60 with steel, then superheat all the way to 70.
  23. If I'm correct, crumble the undead doesn't give you tasty HP XP. If you're a member, I recommend that you get those gaunts which increase the damage of bolt spells.
  24. Not according to http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=magic_guide.htm#armour
  25. Thanks for the support! Also, anyone who feels my guide has seriously helped them, please promote my guide for the AoW! Seeing as lots of members are looking for something to help with any down times from their subscribed time, I'll be referencing shade_bandyt's very popular and useful guide and making my own recommendations. Some have also requested a more comprehensive guide for this situation, so I'll include a list of items that a member should probably have in their bank when they make the switch to F2P. Stay tuned!
