Book of Knowledge and Genie lamps...
You're saying that an extra 168 seconds of a protection prayer at level 99 is useless? Feasible to get in F2P? No. Really worth the time + money? Probably not. Useless? Definitely not. I definitely think smithing and prayer are two of the most worthwhile skills to use it on. And BTW slay, you're becoming my idol. F2P to the core, a top level FoG player, use of grammar...

Help with high level f2p training
Sorry to hijack, but what if you want fast XP AND decent drops? I refuse to do roaches or lessers for the time being

40 to 60 mage... with a extreamly low budget
Especially with the influx of people crafting tons of random runes trying to get into the Great Orb Project.

40 to 60 mage... with a extreamly low budget
Superheating mithril bars is about 12GP loss per bar. You also get some nifty smithing XP while you're at it. But yes, FoG is definitely the way to go if you want to do it for free.

Help !!! f2p Related
Not necessarily. If you can find a crowded area where people don't care about bone drops (Minotaurs is a good example), then you spend sometime just running around picking those up while getting in a few kills yourself. And why raise prayer on F2P past 71?

Prayer bonus
At last check, 1 prayer bonus gives +3.33% more time.

Tanking armour!
Yeah like others have said, 70 defence is actually rather low. Just because you can wear fancy stuff like barrows doesn't mean you're a tank. In fact in some other games like RS, you'd be referred to as a paper ranger, getting the minimum defence for the best armour and then going pure ranged. 90s are for a range tank.

kiteshields and such?
Well more so how often you do that damage and how often you get it.

Lost. Need some advice(F2P BHer)
Mage also gives a nice passive defence against magic. 70% of your defence against magic comes from your magic level and the other 30% from your regular defence level. That means you'll get hit less often and bind spells will have less of a chance of hitting you

AVG
How would you know it's biased or not? Have you tried the most recent versions of Norton? Norton has had a history of being pretty heavy on resources, but more recent versions of the AV have proven to be more efficient overall. Norton has always had a good reputation for on-demand scans and perhaps the other vendors just slipped up that one month. If you look up past reports, you'll find that Norton isn't consistently in the top ranks. What makes you personally say otherwise? You can check up their methodology on the site by clicking the link in the report (I can't direct link to it)

XP extremely slow. (Solved! Waiting on Panda CS answer)
Since you seem to be happy with Panda, I'm not going to suggest getting AntiVir, even though it's cheap, has one of the best detection rates around, is light on resources, and has a paid version where 5 euros of every yearly subscription goes towards a charitable organization... But blimey, looking at your HJT log and it seems Panda is running a huge boatload of processes which are probably chewing up resources anyway.

Best way for a F2P player to get from 39-43 magic
OMG! I just discovered that you do in fact get half XP  But fire blasting for me at least is still really good

Best way for a F2P player to get from 39-43 magic
Ohhhhhh...so that's what you believed, not what you tested. That's a relief. However, I'll go play a quick game sometime and confirm whether or not it gives full xp. And it's not quite 100% failing. It's just really really high. I cursed guards with 47ish mage til 50 in full rune and d vambs and succeeded maybe like 3 times total. So yes, a very very small chance, but a chance at that. In any case, I think FoG with it's free runes, ability for you to cast your best missile spells and gain some HP xp is really the cheapest, if not most efficient method once you get 59 mage. After alching of course

Actual PKing Tips?
F2P All I currently know is apparently I'm not supposed to "safe" (As in, eat food when I'm not really in danger of being killed), and am supposed to use a R2H for finishing (Although I'm not too sure of the effectiveness of a finisher weapon) What other tips are there for actual combat? Melee related? Range related? Mage related? Concerning mage and range in particular, how do I keep my distance advantage over a meleer? Bind doesn't seem to give enough of a chance to distance yourself from them to make a few hits.

Oh the nostalgia... I'm not a member and lost my RSC account when they purged all of the old accounts which didn't play.

Fist of Guthix
"Mage attack outfit"? You mean the FoG combat robes? Personally, I'd suggest against them as you're going to be supplied free runes, negating the set's special effect of randomly supplying runes (Minds, chaos, deaths). Combat robes also have to be recharged. The full runecrafter's set is much more viable of an option. Only 4 less magic bonus. Throw in some regular boots, a magic ammy, and a random elemental staff and you're good to go :

Best way for a F2P player to get from 39-43 magic
Or if you reach 59, fire blasting at FoG is almost most definitely the best free way to raise magic in F2P. The base xp for fire blast itself is already more than fire strike with it's max hit of 8. And like I said, it takes about 20 secs to hunt down an opponent. Once you find them, one click is all you need. You'll be locked onto them regardless of what they do, unless they run into a house. Then there are other ways of solving that problem  For fire striking fire wizards, there's only one of them. And could someone please tell me where this half xp in FoG rumour is coming from?

F2P STR Training
Well you could get rid of those food runs with prayer at the black knight fortress, rid yourself of bulky armour, and use +15% strength and attack prayers while you're at it  And you'll get a few drops too opposed to spiders. They just have lower HP in comparison and there's only 5 near the altar.
