  1. Interesting read. I don't like the concept of pures though  I'd also like to know how you seemingly have 1 HP according to your sig :-k

Yeah, I like to train magic in FoG. If you run, I just take it in as a little challenge and fire blast you in stride ^_^ Check my FoG thread in my siggy
  3. In the end, they lost and you won, noob or not. End of discussion.

Level 51 mining? Level 53 fishing?
  6. Well seeing as no one seems to know any other monster which drop steels or any other arrows, level 30s, here I come ^_^
  7. It might have something to do with how quickly you're mining it and how quickly you're softening it. If you get really good, it becomes less than a minute each. Spinning also takes less than a minute (constant) Firing DOES take a disproportionate amount of time, but rounds off to be about 1 and a half minutes (constant). My best is about 3 and a half minutes. Dropping takes no longer than 10 secs. I take it I was the poster of the original method  I think I might have been exaggerating with I said 17K XP per hour, sorry lol. But more accurately, 4 minutes per load translates to 15 per hour. Times that by 891XP per load, and that becomes about 13K xp per hour. My best would generate about 1K more xp. But all and all, this is the BEST method per GP. Zero loss \
  8. Ok...even though I already said that, but what level?
  9. Yes, as long as you don't die with them or ask for them to be degraded manually... -.-
  10. I would recommend anchovy pizzas instead. Since you're training on a set monster, you won't have to really fear any huge hits so the two bite aspect won't be much of a factor. It's greatest advantage is that pizzas heal 18 vs the swordfishes 14.. Anchovy pizzas are also cheaper than swordies (almost the same as lobs even I think) the last time I checked.
  11. I'm currently training at the Black Knight's Fortress (Using pray and the altar in the castle so I don't need food) with iron arrows. I'm level 63 and have about 4500 arrows from killing minotaurs. However, I'd like to graduate to some spiffier steel arrows that'll do more damage (More xp), and last longer. After that, I might train defence with melee to gain some mithril or addy arrows for some pking or whatever. So what monster would be recommended for steels? I've heard that zombies (Which level drops the most or do they all drop about the same number?) in the stronghold drop them relatively often so I could use my last 500 or so irons to move onto zombies and start collecting/using them there. After that, what would be best for mithril or addys? People have recommended ice giants for addys.
  12. A berserker only gives +1 def in every field and +4 strength. I really don't think it's really worth it if you're serious about training and don't want to have to get tokens for a recharge. I would go with the power. In some cases, the strength amulet won't add anything to your max hit more than a power would, and the power gives you a nice accuracy AND defence boost.
  13. Monk robes are 72k/h??? I need to try this now. Even with all the bank runs? By the way, you've fallen under the misconception that every single section needs to be put into a hide block. I think you should leave some sections in plain view and hide only the less effective methods.
  14. Sorry to be all grammar-Nazi, but please make an effort in a future update to clean up some stuff. The header image is also quite large... Otherwise, good tips and tactics that should be known by those who don't already know them. By the way, the tele to center and run to house method has it's drawbacks. When maging or ranging, you have a constant lock on them, even if you're at the very edge and they teleport. You'll automatically run to them as long as you don't click anywhere else. If your guy stops moving all of a sudden, you should know that they entered a portal. The largest flaw with the houses is that if you position yourself correct near the center, there's a sweet spot that allows you to monitor all of the entrances to the houses. Thus the hunted can only do three things: 1. Watch as his health goes down. 2. Try and run out. As soon as he does that, the giant arrow on your minimap will flash and you'll be on him. 3. Teleport. That can only put him in the same position as 1 or 2, or at the center in the loving, warm caress of your fire blast. ^_^
  15. Could you provide a more in-depth explanation of 1 and 4?
  16. Earths (with FoG gloves) are by far the fastest, but if you buy your essence, you could lose a bit of money. I would RC airs with FoG gloves until you can craft x2 earths and then switch to them with the appropriate gloves. Air RCing even on the air running world isn't very effective now. Before the trade update, you could offer runners quite a bit of money, but now, I'd say like 85% of them go for assisters and a bunch of the rest usually want 2K and up, allowing you to really only do bunch per 10 mins. The only problem might be actually getting the gloves. If you're a low level, you might have some trouble accumulating them quickly. But when you get to level 50 rc, see you in the guild. Green ftw.
  17. Well, if you were F2P I would suggest bowls at the crafting guild. No cracking, no bank runs, fully self-sufficient all at the guild. 33 XP per bowl, 27 bowls per load. But you're not F2P
  18. I thought the FRAPs free trial only allowed you to record for like 15 secs.

Sorry to hijack, but what would be the best F2P method? High alchs all the way or maybe fire blast in FoG?

Fall flat on my face. ^_^ Would you rather: Cut both of your own Achilles tendons with a pair of rusty garden shears? or Sandpaper yourself to death in a pool of rubbing alcohol?
  21. 7 divided by zero. Does an answer require a question?
  22. God made it so. Why does God make it so?

What AV program you run also could make a difference. After all, your antivirus program can only remove what it can detect. Check AntiVir, in my sig. High detection rates, free.
  24. I can play source engine games just fine through WINE :| I have been able to do that too. "And as already mentioned, there are a few programs which emulate Windows on Linux, but they only go so far."
  25. Well generally, people who are unknowingly infected and become a part of a botnet don't try to hide their IP. These people are usually the one's who don't know what botnets are and leave their computer open to them in the first place.
