  1. Some of these paradoxes just seem like nothing more than an abuse of the English language.
  2. You must be knew to the OT if you call that "arguing" :P . It's an interesting, non-heated discussion, which is kind of the purpose of making a thread (rather than just posting a dream and leaving... what do you want this to be, General P2P?).
  3. Actually, it's possible to lure somebody without telling an outright lie. Take this sample lure: Lurer: Want to buy a robin for 2 mil? Victim: Sure! Lurer: Come to Edgeville bridge. Victim: Ok! Now, in a real lure, the victim is probably going to ask "why," and the lurer might lie. However, it's perfectly possible to do a lure without telling a falsehood at all. Deceiving and misleading, certainly. Not necessarily lying. GOD, this is worse than debating with a Runescaper who's devout in thinking that Runescape helps them in real life. Stop kidding yourself, admit you're wrong, and move on. It's not like it matters either way. Luring is for scum, it is decieving players for personal gain, and would be reportable if not for the inability of the Jagex staff to ban lurers. Stop kidding yourself, and admit you're doing wrong. I mean, read through your post, listen to yourself. You're not kidding anyone here with that gibberish.
  4. Might have been a bad wording on my part; I would mean to say "We don't forget that we had a dream." I'm not sure if those sites refute what I'm saying though; they mostly talk about dream recall and REM sleep. Does REM sleep mean that we have to have a dream every night? Me, not only do I not get a ton of sleep, but I'm not a very emotional person either. I just don't think I'm the typical person to get lots of dreams every night; I still feel it's possible for me to sleep without having a dream.
  5. I will admit that I forget nearly all of my dreams. Nontheless, after I wake up I remember I had one vaguely, and throughout the day I remember not the dream, but the five minutes after I woke up when I was trying to recap the dream. Basically, I remember my remembering the dream, and thus I remember I had a dream (I do not remember the dream itself, just that I had it). Maybe I don't get what you're saying, I dunno, but I don't feel convinced that we have to have a dream every single night :| .
  6. Trivia Time :) Actually it is not possible to "not" have a dream, you always have one. Sure you may think that you didn't have one, but you did. You just can't remember it. Also did you know that dreams only take 5 seconds, but they seem so long :D You don't just "forget" you had a dream. Details are near impossible to remember, but for about five minutes after I've woken up, I still remember foggy details, and know when I've had a dream. Plenty of dreams from my youth, especially the scary ones, I always remember. One I had when I was five where I looked out the second story window, and saw a giant serpentine dragon looking me right in the face. I've never forgotten that after over a decade, and every detail of the dream is crystal clear (there was lighting, dark clouds, it was windy, trees were blowing left and right, I was in my own house in my room in the dream, the dragon was dark green and it's neck was arched down towards me as it went around to the side of the house towards my window, it was higher than my house, need I go on?). I also never forgot that my little brother was born in that year o_O. Anyways, I get a dream maybe once a week usually, but not often. Where's the source for your point that we have a dream every single night, or that we forget our dreams? Does it have any good evidence and/or support?
  7. Agreed. It's probably the only part of the game that takes more than half of a brain to do.
  8. It already is. But this is going to take it to whole new levels o_O. Wonder which rich guy's going to be the first to attempt for immorality using other organs.
  9. You are what I always called a non-player. You cannot play the game the way it was meant to be, so you lie, cheat and steal. You are not smart, you are just a lying, cheating brat in a party hat. If you truly were smart you would realize that. Oi. Yes, he's a cheater a liar, he knows that, so it's not like what you said meant anything. Oh, and if I were a betting man, I'd say he's a few leagues above you on the IQ ranking sheet, if he really can back up his claims of luring 100+M, especially if he used tactics he created himself. Lurers are scum. Doesn't mean they aren't smart.
  10. You don't even have to do something bad. Just go near a cop, act reaaal suspiciously and start to run away. See what happens. :D :P Ya, but then they'd probably just give up the chase after no more than half an hour, what fun'd that be :P ?
  11. Before anyone says something, let's make sure to leave "inappropriate" dreams off this thread kiddies :P . Me, I pretty much never have dreams nowadays. It's just pure black for five hours :-w .
  12. And yet, the "demon" in Frankenstein was an intelligient, empathetic, feeling being, who was in fact more "human" than his creator. I see your point I suppose, but it's walking on thin ice comparing the monster to a stupid sheep. But yes, genetics could be starting to cross some lines >_<.
  13. The way I figure it, you wouldn't create a new timeline, you'd just go to a different timeline. But that's beside the point, I think. If you went back in time to a different timeline (as you suggested), and killed your would-be parents in that timeline, the version of you in that timeline would just never come to be, it wouldn't cause "time to implode". You'd go back to your timeline, and everything would be the way it was when you left your timeline. On the timeline you changed, history would just end up being different from your timeline because you would never be born in that timeline, due to killing your parents there and all. Timeline...timeline....timeline... man, someone pass me a synonym.
  14. God, how dense can you people be? SLAYER DART IS BETTER. IT IS MORE EFFICIENT BECAUSE IT GETS RUNS DONE MUCH FASTER. WE ARE NOT ARGUING AGAINST THAT- THE FACT OF THE MATTER STILL REMAINS THAT FIRE BOLT COSTS LESS, PER RUN. WE'RE NOT ARGUING THAT SLAYER DART IS WORSE. WE'RE SAYING THAT IN ONE RUN, FIRE BOLT COSTS LESS GP TO USE WHEN KILLING THE BROTHERS. GOD. I thought, maybe, if it was in caps people might read it. Dunno, it just seems like no one is. Learn what opportunity cost is people. It will serve you well in life, or at least make you look like less of an idiot. Now, can we get this locked? This argument's going in circles; if you don't get it, read through the thread.
  15. Just because someone is less happy than I am doesn't mean I don't have a right to be unhappy. Nontheless, highlanders, that was a bit over the line. You're frikking blessed with the life you have, don't make a stupid statement like that and get everyone hating you for it. ~ On T: The worst day of my life was probably the day after I watched the last episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, and the pain set in when I realized the anime series was over. Manga's still going strong though . God Bless the Elrics.
  16. Oh, I totally forgot to add this. My perfect day would involve a mall cop chase. I'd so something bad at the mall, and start getting mall cops chasing me everywhere, and I'd see how long I could outlast 'em. I don't know why, it's just something I've always wanted to do, but I'm just so trained not to disobey the law that I can't get the guts to do it  .
  17. Evolution is not a proven theory. Micro evolution is a proven concept, but macro evolution is not proven. Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't it pretty much Adam and Eve's eating of the forbidden fruit (not very far sighted on God's behalf) that gave us self-awareness and ultimately, free will? So, God giving us free will was a consequence of us doing something He didn't want us to do? How does that work? if we didn't have free will and god told us not to eat the fruit then we wouldn't have eaten the fruit. The fruit is only giving you knowledge of what is right and wrong. For example being naked in public is wrong according to our society. For all we know, god's pissed at us for not accepting our and other's natural beauty in a public environment.
  18. Maybe I missed your point but to me God must correspond with the Bible as I believe it's his words. Sidenote: I do care to some extent what other people think of me (I think everyone does), however I do not let that stop me from expressing what I believe in. Kind of like the saying: "I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not." There is no time frame present in those verses. It just says that humans should rule the earth. Find some useful verses to prove your point, if you would. The logical response would be B, but then again, plenty of people lack logic. Looks like to me your not really in the position to be able to discredit evolution if you know little of it. I discredit it from a christian view, where the Bible is the truth and it contradicts the evolution theory. #-o You just said you discredit it from what you've heard by scientists, and then you went back to the fallacious Christian defense. Stick to your points, please.
  19. Meh, fair enough I suppose. Personally I find that that "feeling" is just one being overwhelmed and blinded by emotion, but to each his own. THIS is a religious opinion I despise. It's basically detaching oneself from the world and the people in it for a belief you aren't even all that sure about. Love the people around you first, rely on them. And go around calling "loving people" "loving God" if you want, sounds right to me I guess, seeing as how god is the energy and matter of existence. You may not be classifying relying on God as being detached from the world, and if so I'm sorry if I'm misenterpreted, but so many religions say that that is just ticks the Hell out o' me. On the bolded part, sorry, but no duh. We all like sin, that's why it's tempting. Heaven and Hell are no more logical than the soul and Karma :-w . Again, please stop sounding like you're reading out of a Bible on the bolded parts. We know we're not supposed to judge people, that's common sense (even though we do it anyways, we still know it's wrong, and don't need it explained in Christian-talk). It's like getting a Kindergarten lesson... Eh, fine. Just don't get too evangelic on us. But it's not totally true. I don't want to get into another Bible debate, but the Bible was written by man; it's not going to be perfect, especially not for every generation... seriously, there's nothing wrong with finding what is and isn't correct and useful for us today in the Bible. Oh, and if the Christian God exists (doubt it), he used evolution. That stuff in Genesis is just fluffy stuff and fables to read to kids at night. I mean, can't you see the anti-women feeling of the time all over the story of Adam and Eve? It's the opinion of man at the time. They're just stories.
  20. Are you sure? I didn't say I do (or don't) play, but I stopped playing a while ago. So if you're assuming that if someone doesn't mention Runescape in their post that they still play, don't. And yes, Bubsa's right, it is kind of a crappy game :-w . I mean, I used to fall asleep at the Dagganoth Kings, and that Lair is leagues ahead of the rest of the game in gameplay... :o! You made my heart cry  .
  21. Pfft, BS :P . Me, it'd probably involve sniping 50 players in the head in a game of Xbox Live Ghost Recon. Or 50 with grenade lauchers, either will do. Can't forget laughing at their faces as I snipe them from every angle, of course. Oh, and to see the look on the other player's face as I lauched a grenade from our spawn point in Nowhere, up and over the cliffs, and into an opponent at their spawn point in the upper town. Damn that's fun to do. The rest of it would probably involve landing some Tricking moves I've been stuck on, and the last six hours of the day would involve a girl.... ya.
  22. Argh, didn't we already go over all this in the thread? Fire bolt is more cost effiecient per run, while Slayer Dart is much better for speed. We already went over this crud... Seriously, who bumped this? It's like we're repeating the same [developmentally delayed]ed argument all over again, having to explain such a simple concept yet again to the new people posting on this thread.
  23. Ha! Ya, I spend nearly all my time in the OT, some in General P2P and Rants, and a little in Video Games (rarely...). That's it, I think :-k .
  24. im not going to get into an argument with you over this. all im going to say is that you are indeed an idiot. in a room where everyone want silence, you are the man who yells at everyone to be quiet, and adds to the noise, rather than to set the example and be quiet yourself. you want to stop me from getting attention by answering me. good idea \ by the way im not agreeing with his assumptions. im going to gnore all toher spam that this guy posts as well :XD: so lets get back on topic \ Well, my advice would be to start thinking up a rebuttal rather than insulting him (and everyone else who responds to you), and assuming everyone thinks you're right and smart. 'Cause honestly, you're looking pretty stupid right now [note the bolded part, which contains absolutely no support. At least make your opponent look like an idiot before you actually try to call him one]. C'mon, if you're going to start the thread at least put a little something behind your opinion, rather than proving to us that this really is just a stupid little phase. Oh, and you want to know what'd be on topic? Somewhere between the exact opposite of your post and a proper rebuttal to Bubsa's point. Seriously, what are you, another Defender? Oh, and happy five-digit day Nadril :P .
