  1. Really, the only way to do it is to immerse yourself in it. I took four years of Latin in school, and although I've learned thousands of words and mastered the grammar perfectly, the fact that I havn't used it in quite a while is making me forget it. Like in cadbury's case, only after a few months I'd say my Japanese is much better than my Latin; although I have not encountered as much of the language as with Latin [i.e., if I see a Latin word I don't at least recognize, it's probably not useful/is extraneous], the Japanese is fresh since I encounter it almost every day. Basically, follow the advice everyone has been saying: talk to people who speak the language, study it every day, go to the country, whatever, just make sure that you're encountering it at the very least on a bi-daily basis.
  2. The best scene/s, by far, were the ones where Light had to outsmate Naomi Misora. The reason I loved that show was because it always took a bit of thought to follow the genius of both Light and L. Getting to literally see the cogs turning in Kira's head as he was forced to calm himself and figure out how to beat this woman who would lead to his end, seeing him think under that kind of pressure, it was just awesome. Ohba has to be some kind of genius to be able to create this characters and the scenes they're in. That's also one of the reasons that I hated the last part of the manga/anime- there thought process was almost never shown. Unlike the first part, the end of it was all about Kira and his enemies simply knowing each others moves, without any explanation as to how they do... duuullll as [bleep].
  3. Who are you and why are you sharing your stupid?
  4. Aa, soo ka. [weeaboo<]
  5. Off the top of my head, tell me if this translation sounds right: IMPOSSIBLE... BUT I AM NOT A FAN BOY. ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUPID? But, I [like?] anime.I am definitely a weeaboo. [but?], that you are one of great asshattery. Slow [something]. Close? Question: if the word is "really", shouldn't there be a "ni" after "honto"? Just wondering, I don't know anywhere near enough about the grammar to be sure.
  6. Thank you. It's always really ticked me off when people do that.
  7. That explains a lot about the French. Like their liver problems  .
  8. I'm confused. What in god's name is the connection between level of influence and the ability to think? And why did you say my name four times?
  9. I'm not shy, when I have an opinion, I voice it. So you're like that really, really annoying patient from Scrubs? You know, that chick who, if she had a thought, she had to tell everyone. That annoying one.
  10. I feel like I should be pissed at you for needing to say that, but for some reason I'm not. Maybe 'cause it's a good argument :P . [is she in the same class as you? If so, why is she in school so late...?]
  11. Correct. I am a hypocrite in that I do not spend every waking moment of my life being productive, and admitting I am a nerd would not subtract from the hypocrisy. Took people long enough to own me on that one. Good job >_<.
  12. The anesthesia is so great you don't even notice the giant tube being shoved up your arm, let alone the knife being stabbed into you. Surgery on my left knee to get an inch of bone removed. Twas fun.

    Not for long  .

I saw the word cupcake and kind of stopped thinking past that. Damned short attention span.

No. shallow chicks are a bad thing. Preferring a male who is better cut/considering appearances as a factor is shallow/bad? Sounds like a trademark case of antipopularkiditis.

You act like being physically attractive is a bad thing.
  17. The President is little more than a victim of circumstance, even with the war. Clinton got lucky on the upturn, Bush didn't, stuck on the downturn. The economy goes through highs and lows over time, it's just what naturally happens [a recession has not last more than 15 months in decades; national economic 'swinging' happens relatively rapidly]. It's basic economics mate. Sorry, the ignorance and the same old anti-Bush crap I hear everyday just triggered something and forced a response. Please, continue.
  18. I typed a little worse and used meme terminology a little more back then, but from what I've seen it wasn't as bad as I thought it was.
  19. Am I the only one who thinks laughing at supposedly stupid people on the internet is getting old?
  20. Good points, fair enough. [i still say that both English and Japanese are more annoying than they need to be :P .] As usual, Mlb's existence is to be ignored. Please.
  21. I am up to date with season 2. You're going to have to tell me the episode/manga chapter on that one, 'cause I definitely don't recall it. When he was introduced to the investigation team he just went straight up to the TV and was asked about the second Kira, iirc :| .
  22. I'm not... entirely giving up per se. He didn't respond to my points at all, so I just can't think of anything to say to him if there's nothing there to counter.
  23. Congratulations, you have earned it. I very well may never use that again. Did that last sentence sound off to anyone? It kind of sounds right when I say it in my head but the grammar still seems awkward. Hm... to edit or not to edit, that is the question...
