  1. Looks awsome, finish the whole body now.
  2. Ttttia pretty much summed up the main reasons why the pixel craze has been running for over a year as far as I can remember (I started last July). Pixel artists, along with any other type of artist, can't be generalized because some do pixel for different purposes, in different styles, and such. There's no sign that says "childish pixelart is noobish pixelart" because it's just one of many styles in pixelart. Just because people draw cartooney or non-detailed does not mean they can't do better, they just choose to do it that way. For example, I'm well aware that my pixel style is cartooney, and it was my choice to do so because the buyers like it for its very expressive means in characters and simple but colorful portrayals of BG's. Yes I do pixelart mainly because it's good Runescape GP, but I still have respect for art mainly because pixelart is the last thing that comes to my mind when I think of my own art. I wouldn't have started had I not seen it in the tipit media board, and it was right up my alley - drawing and runescape. It's either mining for a billion years to make some gp, or use what I know to make a sig for someone who wants one and is willing to pay for something he can't do but would be happy if he owned. As said before, selling sigs in RS could be considered just a roleplaying of some king buying a portrait representing his success in the game from an artist trying to "make a living" in the game. This craze did bring a lot of "pixelers" who haven't had any previous drawing skill (which I think really helps, if not required), bringing forth a large number of low quality work due to easy access to MSpaint and such. At least they tried but hopefully people will realize wether they should do whey can or can't do.
  3. Nice progress, shading going good. The three grasses on the upper left corner of the yard are odd colored though. Her eyes are missing eyebrows and eye lashes, so good idea to add them. :)
  4. I like how the cloud rolls accross the sky. Nice animation overal, great change from person to text.
  5. Indeed fun, I'm gonna try out that Tandeom room next time. :)
  6. The pic looks great, the right leg seems a bit bent specially at the dent in the front lower part but as you said it seems it was that way in the model. The feet look good, but I think his left foot would look better if it's end is lifted a bit so it doesn't appear so parallel to his right foot.
  7. Crazy good for no reference. The only thing that pops out to me is that the neck fur sort of looks like feathers.
  8. Looking pretty good so far, you got the proportions and dimensions going right. Flip the sword on the barrows guy's back since he'd have to grab it by the blade to pull it out instead of by the handle. Idea for a BG - Barrows place itself?
  9. Looking great, you might as well make it into an entire desktop background. That pic can't just be a "sig".
  10. If I remember correctly, it's a real logo for some real business (this one supposed to be a yellow house in front of a red circle/sun). There's a website somewhere showing all these different company logos full of subliminal messages such as the one you saw now.
  11. Great ava, the red face with a crown is sort of random (more than the rubber chicken lol) but it fits in nicely. :)
  12. Try that out, I think it will really help the falling visual effect. :)
  13. Indeed some perspective on the swords he's holding makes it nicer. The sword on his back looks a bit too big even if two handed I think. A nice Bg would be a bunch of sliced up bodies behind him, with a crowd cheering him, such as in a Collesseum or something.
  14. Her face looks like she's tired of whiping, maybe make her right hand be carrying a bag full of money won from the Arena over her shoulder to show she's earned living through harsh fighting. Then, flip the BG so she is entering the door as if she just got home and wants to just rest. "Gome sweet home" on the sign maybe. BG needs a lot of texture, such as in the grass where each grass can't really be seen. The character needs shading, but great that all the lines are cleaned up. All it needs is some kind of sky over the fence, again maybe a sunset since it's the end of a long day at the Arena.
  15. Yeah he looks a bit fat, but nice dark armor. The special has nice shading, but I think it looks too solid, but we'll see how it blends with the BG. The helmet seems to have a sharp front edge like a cube's edge, try to make the middle light shade wider so it's not so sharp. :) Ideas for BG, Blacknights castle?
  16. You got invisibility, yet you fight the one monster that doesn't have eyes and probably finds you through heat seeking or something. Interesting, I once teleported and stayed tiny, smaller than an Imp.
  17. *Follows instructions in avatar* Thanks Itachi. :D Lol those are all great. Fun game but I think the people whom you make an avatar for should not be the same as the one from whom you recieve one, make some kind of random rotation so it's not so one on one. :)
  18. You're doing some great Terragen pieces. Also isn't it "I'm lovin' it" instead of "I'm 'lovin it"? :P
  19. Lol all the more evidence I barely visit DA.
  20. Haven't been on DA much but now I'm reading around to see what exactly is going on. It is true that this message won't stop everyone from posting, but something is always better than nothing. I just noticed you can also change your current mood to "Yellow Alien!" to help out.
  21. Let's not ruin the fun with complaining about people not being done in time. Maybe if this was some serious thing with money involved but people do have many other things more serious to deal with which is the normal thing to do. It's only a game involving free avatars. I'm sure we could all wait for all to finish just a few days, life can't be that short. Yes I did send my ava in today, finally had time to make one, had to remake part of a sig.
  22. That's sweet, it's great how the shading gets darker from down to up yep keeping the natural texture of ripples and such of the clothe. :)
  23. MSpaint is simple, easy, free, and you don't even have to download it if you have Windows OS. Its got few but good tools, try them all out. If you upload pics from MSpaint, save them as png, or save them as bmp then upload in imageshack.us and the site will automatically change the format to png, it's great. :)
  24. Take almost all of it, leave some so the drunk guy thinks "Oh I guess this was it, I was too drunk to remember", move to another state, work around drunk people again, repeat the above steps = free money. JK, yeah just giving back the money was the right thing to do. Not to mention the guilt of spending that much stolen money which is probably not fun to feel.
  25. Phalanxe says he's quit these boards and doesn't want to make a big deal out of this, so I'm posting this for him:
