  1. This type of sig isn't my field at all. :P Even if it was a pixel sig contest, I'm retired from sigmaking since this week. I need a break from the repetitiveness, but mainly it's because of Halo 2. I finished my last sig last friday and it was WAY too gory (at buyer's request) to be posted on tipit. I posted it in Runevillage if anyone wants to check it out, but it's the last blood I'll spill in a sig. Good luck to all sigmakers on this one. :) Off topic: Check out my rank lol.
  2. You might want to post an RS pick of yourself with the cash so people can believe you and spend the time to make you a sig. Also, maybe split the prize into second and third prizes so you can get more entries and more people win. :) Good luck buying a sig, a lot of great artists here. This thread will be 10-20 pages in no time so keep up lol.
  3. Save it as gif of png to keep the quality. Nice beginning sig, maybe some shading and more stuff in BG. Try to make the dead guy on the right seem less flat by using foreshortening.
  4. Nice sigs, great to see that people are buying them. :)
  5. that wasn't very nice on topic, the siggy looks cool :D im asking about my avator  Lol that's when you know people just say something's cool to be nice and don't actually have any idea what the topic is about. On real topic: I don't think there's much rating in an RL pic without much editing.
  6. It has a border, I guess that's a start.
  7. What's so great about this axe hut people keep showing off? Is there free pizza in there or something that people fight so much for it? On topic: Real killer, 9/10, I think it's too big for tipit though. :)
  8. No one's forcing you to make sigs. :) I chose to make sigs because I was desperate for some spare RS cash and hated to mine in the guild. I only expected a few 100k in total revenue and I'd quit making sigs. You never know what can happen. :)
  9. Put the initial price to be 10k, and let people bid and whoever has highest offer wins. :) No one become rich instantly from their first sigs. It's a slow start but then it can get out of control. If you are serious about selling sigs, you have to sacrifice time and dedication into making people like your sigs. 10k is better than nothing, and for me it felt like 10 million when I sold my first sig for that much. Everyone starts low no matter how good or bad you are. Think about it, it's either mining coal in RS for gp or drawing for gp. Any amount of gp is worth making sigs.
  10. While that's a nice sig, the price is a bit high because it's premade. A big part that makes a sig more valuable is how much it appeals to the buyer. This is the reason buyers will pay a lot for a very personalized sig because it pertains exactly as to what they had in mind. Premade sigs sell for very little because they are considered spare or second choice sigs. Price is really up to the buyer when it comes to sigs. I have tried to sell unused premade sigs and the most I got was 300k for one compared to their 1 mill bid the other buyer wanted to pay but never did. I also suggest you add "sample" on that sig because anyone can just take that sig and add their name on it for free. Just some advice on selling sigs. :)
  11. Thanks, but I really suggest starting from scratch without thinking about anyone else's work. Trust your own ideas and you'll come up with probably better stuff than me. :) I also suggest not making it in the wilderness as everyone is tired of seeing those (including me).
  12. Don't tell me you didn't look into my sigs the whole time you made that sig. There, are, other, ways, of, drawing, RS. If you want to make a sig about RS, make it about RS, not about misterxmanscape. If you checked the real RS, you would notice how different my sigs look from it; therefore, the only way your sig came that way was not from seeing RS but seeing my sigs. You were so distracted from my sigs that you added stars on the clouds.
  13. Awsome again, 9.5. The rain seems to be fine but the lightning comes a bit too fast and often, maybe a slower more random order would make it really realistic. You can almost hear the thunder. :)

Some of the Spartans look like they're in Age of Empires, but cutting job could be done better. 4/10 10/10 for the Halo idea. One week to go. 8)
  15. Those pics are ripped DIRECTLY from Link's sig Jeppoz made him. The one with the mage with red eyes who blasted the guy's head off in the foreground of the sig. Why do you make it so OBVIOUS? I even checked Link's sig in the post over it, and it matched.
  16. Because RS sigs are worth 0 in RL. Would you spend more than 1 cent on any RS sig by anyone? It's not like people are buying Van Gogh's and Piccasso's with RS money. I can see it on ebay now: "Selling the Mona Lisa to highest RS bidder, GP only, no noob offers." Search in the forums, there are a few posts that have images of Jagex replying to your question. They say they can't do anything about it and it's the only thing that seems to be acceptable. Hope this helps. :)
  17. X Now that is killer.
  18. That's some killer stuff, would be awsome if RS could implement something like it. I saw your other night pic, liked that one too. The only thing that is missing in this pic are some shadows on the right flowers, but it's not a big deal. :) Looking forward to future pics of RS. :)
  19. All three look real killer, I narrowed it down to Freeman and Nadril. My vote goes to Nadril. :)
  20. Great sig, the char still has the same great shading and look. Maybe switch the ears so the pink was in top and white in bottom but it's barely noticeable. Best part of that sig is the sky view of the land, great tutle too.

changed the font colour and added a white border, but i dont really understand what do you mean by cleaning up the outlines... :? any examples of zigzag shading? as in the top part of the rock and the bottom part darken weirdly? or? the pickaxe handle... u mean as in one verticle shading and not horizontal? lol i dont understand artist jargon  Well best answer I could give to that is to check the RS rocks and see their shading in the game. Another way is to just check RL stuff and how it gets dark and light. Whenever in doubt about how something looks or shades, just check the real thing in the game or in RL. The last thing I do is trust my memory.
  22. Veins are bluish red. :P On topic: Looks nice, maybe a bit too similar as your other one but I don't really know much about abstract so... I knew it was either veins or arteries. Ok, they look like arteries.
  23. A reason not to trust this guy: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=103645 If you absolutely have to make him a sig, make sure you add a big fat "sample" on it. I wouldn't risk time with this contest.
  24. Killer stuff there, looks like large veins. I don't know much about abstract but I like how that looks.
  25. Not too bad for a first sig, I know my first sigs had a lot less shadin (almost none) than that one. About the prices, start low (even free), and you'll slowly work up skills to earn some more cash. :) 10k gp is a good starting price, sold my first pixel sig for that much. :)
