  1. Actually, while I do like your work you are wrong about the bow string... That is what it should look like, the way you had it would have her drawing an arrow and then reaching around her other arm to grab the bowstring and flip the bow around so it could seat the arrow. No archer in history has carried a bow like that ;) Trust me I love archery! This way she simply raises the bow and seats the arrow as the string is right there on the inside.... other then that its a nice sig 8/10 Ok, then I learned something new today lol. I figured archers didn't mind how they carried their bows, but I'll make sure to watch for that mistake next time. :)
  2. While the dragon's shape is nice and original, its shading is a bit off. The shading on the dragon drawing was done way too fast and a bit sloppy I think. The directions of the shading keeps changing throughout the picture drastically, and there are many white spots in between the lines. In all, the dragon has little difference in lightness values so it looks a bit flat, the shading also does not bring out the scale texture much you lined in. One major no-no in shading is to shade perpendicularly to the direction of lightness change, for example the shading strokes should have been done vertically on the upper jaw gum rather than horizontally. This shading takes longer but it keeps white spots and drastic changes in light values from appearing. I'm not trying to bash your drawing, it's just what came up in my mind and I wanted to be honest. I'm not a PC artist but I like your second pic, pulls me in the center. :)
  3. Good luck with shop, glad you're back at sigmaking. Thanks for the help at reaching level 85 mining too. :)
  4. Thanks for comments all. :) I don't use a tablet, just this old mouse and MSpaint. The string is supposed to be in front of the arm since it's facing the back with the wood in the front. The setting is supposed to be somewhere in Lost City, in p2p so I had to use screenshots. And about the cave, I wouldn't want to make fun of two level 110+'s. :P
  5. I had some extra time right before getting level 85 mining so I made a requested sig (names taken off due to buyer's request): Feel free to post comments or rates, thanks. :)
  6. I like the texturing and shading you've done throughout the body, specially the head and front legs. The texturing looks realistic and the contrast between dark and light is done well. The shape of the dragon is a bit odd to me but I don't think perfecting it was your main goal. I recommend next time drawing the entire outline first, then coloring and shading later.
  7. Since when is using brushes defined as pixel art..? Quite some people do it, and frankly, alot of times, the work doesnt get better because of it.. Brushing in a pixel sig is like take the easy way out... Just my opinion.. I agree, even if I don't do real pixel by pixel work when I use MSpaint. BTW awsome work Demented, you're right up there with Jeppoz. :) I would have to say that the best guide for pixeling would be practice, just like any other type of art I think.
  8. The simplicity is cool again but I just don't like that sig as much as your other latest sigs. I guess the map in the background just isn't for sigs to my eyes. :?
  9. Thanks for comments all. :) I'm not an artist by job in RL, I just draw as a hobby whenever I have some spare time. I was 10 when I started pencil drawing and I've been doing it for 8 years now. Dinosaurs and dragons are pretty much the only things I can draw completely from my mind without looking at anything because I've studied very carefully over the years their skeletons and muscle structures. Watching birds and JP helped a lot in how they move and their positions at instants of different actions. Shading is mainly based on picking a light source and knowning how the surface of an object behaves, however complex it becomes. Each dino/dragon drawing took about a day to finish because of the breaks every few hours to keep me from losing focus and lunch/other stuff in between. Led Z - In a few weeks I'll have time to draw so I'll think about your offer which I might do. :) I can draw anything in pencil besides dinosaurs as long as the object is in front of me or if it's from an RL pic. One thing I can't draw from memory are people (as seen in top pencil pic and in my sigs), I just have the anatomy of dinosaurs memorized.
  10. I made these pencil drawings some months ago: This one is an experiment I'm trying. I took an RL pic of a street and wanted to draw the whole thing in pencil with a T-rex in it so it could all blend in as one. Since the pic is of different size than the drawing paper, I had to grid both to keep proportions and such the same. I don't know how this will turn out but there's only one way to find out. I just started this one, I hope to finish it during this break. I was kind of mad when I started this one, but I'm not goint to finish shading it because I think the whole pic will become too confusing. This is the drawing I like the most, the first time I became serious about shading. Wyrm made me a killer sig with it, thanks. I like drawing dinosaurs and dragons mainly because of their misteriousness in appearance, and their unique shapes you don't see in anything else today (although birds and lizards come close). I hope you like some of the drawings. Comments welcome, thanks. :)
  11. I'm glad you decapitated those turtles for me. :P You also further prove my point that jpeg wins: It takes two to beat a single jpger.
  12. The more you post the bunny, the more mr turty suffers from lack of attention. 8) War's over, surrender terms are to hand over all your pixels and Mspaints.
  13. Let me adjust the quality on that: With a jpg, everything becomes clearer. 8)
  14. Sorry to break all your dreams but I confront you with reality: Jpeg won with this long debated historical battle. Turty just got beat by jpeg in front of every person in the western civilization.
  15. So how much you like someone's art depends on nothing but how much you like the artist? Chaos mentioned in another new post in this topic that he could take out any piece he thought was not fit for the puzzle, think of it as a constitutional amendment. :P On topic: I like how the puzzle is turning out. I would have done abstract but I am completely lost in anything but in MSPaint when it comes to PC art. I was thinking of doing a pencil drawing but it would have just been a dinosaur with no text, and I wanted to draw a person for mine (can't draw realistic people from memory in RL).
  16. That's awsome. Looking forward to the final sig even though that's already a great preview. :D
  17. Here's mine for number 19: :P I like all of the abstracts that were added so far, this should turn out an interesting puzzle. :)
  18. Hey sorry but I started on the wrong piece and just noticed. Could I please change from my last one to 19? Thanks, X-man
  19. I remember this but never got in the last one, this is awsome. :) How about number 19 for me? I'll post it soon. EDIT:
  20. Another clean sharp pixel job by Jeppoz, awsome job. :) I thought it was a nice idea using the Zammy armor as a superman thing. Great texture and fading from light to dark. While this work is awsome like the rest, I still like some of your previous sigs more. :)
  21. Hey Goard, thanks for inviting me to the comp but I'm taking a long break from sigmaking right now. :P I read the sig request details and it does appear to be hard to make in pixel, but not impossible. The shading from dark to a center of light is probably the toughest part, but I think if you use photoshop or GG (haven't used either), it could make the job easier. For 1 million gp, the hard work put on this sig should be well worth it in the end if won. While some won't win first place, you at least tried and will have a great piece of art to look at to remember how good your skills are. :) You'll regret not trying because you'll never know if the outcome could have been in your favor. :) Good luck to all sigmakers, and to Goard for finding a sig or sigs. :) X-man
  22. "Errare Humanum Est" I can see how the GP made you do that, and you can check Nadril's quote (lol I just saw that in his sig) which is quite true when it comes to greed in games in general. I'm sure if you had really thought about it before commiting the rip, you wouldn't have done it. :) You admited you made a mistake and owned up to it, which takes a lot. Glad to see you apologized and you deserve a second chance. :) While I have no respect for rippers, I have gained quite some more respect for you than what I had before I saw you ripped the work because of this. :) We all learn from our mistakes. As long as we don't forget them, they won't happen again. :)
  23. Warm colors that look like a fall-theme sig, pretty nice. I like the darker version more. :)
  24. Funny stuff there, great job if you made it all from scratch.
