  1. Nice sketch, your proportions seem all quite good. Shading is great, not much needed to improve. The fire in BG is cool too. :)
  2. Very nice first piece, I really like how you went with a very original look in your new sig. You can tell you were experimenting around to see how something would come out, which is great way to find amazing techniques you might not even have been aware of. You just need to shade some more, add more texture to things like the grass/ground and volcano, and fill up the sky just a bit more. The border is quite cool, and I like how the sig is a small size since everything inside the sig is drawn in small proportions too. Good luck with future sigs. :)
  3. She wasn't asking you. Nice pic Rose, you made good proportions, just need to shade some more. :)
  4. No need to make the title CAPS lol. If the work is worth seeing and the title is catchy, you will get more views and replies than if you just put a CAPS title. Work on shading a lot, there's almost none in your characters. Adjust your proportions (look at RS or RL pics of people). Add a border to finish it off nicely. :)
  5. Looks great. A few more things to add would be light posts, signal lights, signs and people walking around. Whatever happened to the other RS related city pic you were making? :(
  6. Still too big but does indeed look nice.
  7. That sig would look just fine without any animation, which makes the sig 10 times too big for tipit. :P
  8. Originality is key to success.
  9. Thanks for comments everyone. :) Yeh price depends on whoever bids highest to be first and the top bids from the nearly daily new requests run around 8-12m's since each sig is a few weeks work.
  10. I sort of see where you're coming from. In RS, the whip is partly black, partly transparent. I guess because the Abby's are red and black, the way most pixelers draw whips is red and black stripped whips. It's not accurate, but seems to look nice. :)
  11. Nice gratz, probably the biggest thing I have won was like a $10 gift certificate to something.

You already have a great start, don't quit after your first try. You already are doing well by starting with your unique basic style, all you need to do now is improve your technique. Everyone starts simple: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=23430&highlight= Don't aim to be the best or be perfect, aim to be better than your last sig in every new sig you make. See what you made wrong in this sig and fix those mistakes, improve your strong points. The next sig will be slightly better if you do this. Repeat this process for every sig and remember there's no end to skill so aiming for a certain perfection would only stop you at a midpoint to something possibly even better. It will take you weeks or months to improve, but if you see improvement in every sig you make you can be fairly certain it will only be a matter of time until you are almost completely satisfied with your style.
  13. Tutorials should be looked at lightly, it's difficult to teach creativity. Elv's guide is good but instead of focusing on the how to draw exactly the same way she did, notice how she did proportions. Many different styles can have almost identical proportions. You could use a tutorial to learn a bit of how to do coloring and lineart, but try to draw figures and shapes from non-artistic references such as RL pictures or screenshots from RS. One thing that I think is missing in Elv's guide is the part of observation, you'll need to learn how to convert any non artistic picture into your own style of art depiction. You'll be much more satisfied if you know you came up with everything completely by yourself and this is well worth all the work.
  14. It was nothing to do with having crits, it was just a complete useless crit. As it was critisising me for having something like 954 colours in my current sig. Where as I think, as most do as far as I know, it is better to go for quality rather than cutting inbetween shades out so it looks worse juts so it has less colours. All other crits I am fine with, even if I do have a thing about ignoring them at first and I know they are stuff to work on each time (eg character chins, my d-hide texture, proportions still aren't quite right etc etc) There's no set number of colors needed for a piece to look great, art could have as few as a couple colors or it can have thousands, what matters is how you use them. What I think happened is that you used all those colors but just not in the right way, try again with the same number of colors in a very different way, or try fewer colors in the old way. You never know what can happen with experimentation and you might even be surprised.
  15. Pretty amusing, the characters look a bit weird with narrow heads, just try to make their heads rounder next time.
  16. No one gives CC to annoy anyone, I'm fairly certain people have better things to do than to piss someone off on purpose in the media boards (at least around here). People are just trying to help you, if they gave you a lot of crits then you'll just have to fix all the problems till you can satisfy way more people. There's way more than 3 pixelers I like their style's from so I'll list em all as I can remember: Princessa9 - Appears every few months with a new pixel or non pixel piece, great art Shaw - Did great pixel work Jabraulter - Continuous nice pixel style Terley - Huge improvement from his first works and going strong and great TJ - Best part is the detail in stuff like armor DH - A few but very nice pixel pieces Scarlet Elv - Could have shaded a bit more but nice style Fox Red - Quite cool animations along with great pixelart Godslayer - Keeps trying different things which is cool, very enthusiastic about pixelart TeenageLoser - On and off pixel stuff but great work Water Faery - I remember one piece posted which was very nice Tenshi - Made a few very nice MSpaint pieces Ran - I think started the pixel/abstract sigs which were pretty original, does some great PS cartoon stuff now in DI boards And many others I cannot remember right now. I also want to add Your_Mother, although his skill needs much improving, his old old pixel sigs challenged me to try making pixel sigs for requests as he had once done.
  17. I think there's a thread in Runescape General boards of tipit with pics of those things.
  18. The brush piece is my favoriteof all the nice work, the metal looks very realistic and overall it's a great pic to look at. I have tried water colors many times and to me it's a very hard medium to use which makes your pieces even better to look at.
  19. Both are nice, I like NY pizza more. Still, Italian pizza in Italy is the best.
  20. Hopefully graduate as a mechanical engineer in a few years and see where life takes me.
  21. Well wether it was you or not (for your own safety here), I'd like to thank whoever stopped those rippings.
  22. Again pretty original idea of green fingerprints, the "w" is a bit hard to read (blends too much with bg).
  23. Tipit censors the site name but through contacts I found the site where these rippings are going on. Just as I predicted, there's already people telling the idiot that all the sigs are already sold/owned to other people and made by me. He hasn't sold any of them and his rips are horrible quality. There's a few sigs that aren't mine, so if anyone wants the link to the forum (safe/checked/tpit style), I'll reply it through MSN.
  24. Yeah PM me link to that.
