  1. Range pots are kinda useless if his only healing method is brews. Switching out some super rests for normal rests is a good idea tho.
  2. Your number of bolts seems kinda low, not sure if going without at least a tortoise is a good idea. Also, BGS > AGS for this fight I'd say. BGS lowers the def, so if you start off the fight with a good BGS spec you'll be a lot better off. In fact, without a good BGS spec you might want to abandon the fight. To be honest, I agree with the above poster about melee. Given your stats, just use range EXCEPT for a good BGS spec at the start of the fight to lower his def. The extra brew/restore will come in handy especially since you don't have a tort. Honestly tho, I'm not sure you can take Nomad without a tort =/ If these supplies cost a lot of money to you, don't do the fight without a tort. If you can afford to lose the fight once or a few times, then give it a shot.
  3. You can only have one of any pet type throughout all of your bank, inventory and current follower. Note that I didn't say menagerie. You work around the "one of pet like that" limit by storing it in your house menagerie. (However, you can only put adult pets in your house.)
  4. If you're city is getting destroyed by dragons, are you really gonna take the time to make a freaking mural outta it? >.<
  5. Now I wish I was a Jagex mod so I could make a new 5 - combination fairy ring location and troll the community with trying to make them figure it out. First one there gets a party hat!
  6. Unicorn > Yack at TDs. Once you get a bit of experience, that's where your healing should come from. Brews suck, only reason you should use them there is if you have overloads and a steel titan. I'd recommend elite, swapping out range/melee helms, swapping whip&Ddef/Karils X Bow for range. Alternately, you could just wear karils/dragonhide, neitz helm, D Def, swapping whip/R C Bow using whatever bolts you feel like paying for. Diamond (e), Rune, Broad Bolts. (Broad bolts are cheap.)
  7. I think everyone has a line somewhere on the path to selling in-game crap; this is mine. Depending on how it goes in the future I may retract my opinion... but I've stopped being optimistic towards Jagex when I realized they don't care that much about bots. If all this promo stuff is essentially only "useful" to pretty much new players, and if they re-use items in new offers so that players can eventually earn it via doing nothing more then paying for membership, then maybe I guess it's okay... I don't think Jagex has actually done something that (most) players think cross a line. It's just they get closer and closer. At one point, Jagex was completely against RWT and botting. Now, Jagex is becoming rather apathetic towards bots. RWT is less of an issue because it won't (indirectly or otherwise) cause credit card companies to abandon Jagex (killing easily 50% of their income.) RWT is also more rampant with not only free trade, but the bots. Runefest was an example paying RL money for an RS item. (Albeit not much of an item.) Now they have this promotion which offers something a little more useful. (Limited to lvl 3s and def pures, maybe str pures. as far as I can see.) Best lvl 1 weapon isn't it? It's not that these two items are bad, it's just people see the path this could take Jagex. These are two baby steps on the way to a game with a cash shop. @ Ring world: if it was for all members, it'd just be a more useful wintumber tree. I have nothing against a more useful wintumber tree that you need to be a member during a specific time period to use - kinda similar to BXP weekends.
  8. Uh, the best part about the cannon is it helps speed up your kills. Also, leave your cannon there when you bank. Altho, if you're only there for charms it might be worth it to just forget the ashes and collect charms.
  9. I think you should split it up level by level. I'm sure you put a lot of work in it, but yeah most people won't spend 41 minutes watching a skilling video. Maybe like 1-25 watch this video! 25-44 watch this video! Etc. Or something. With links and stuff.
  10. Also, ignore most DG level requirements. There are only like 3 items you can get the tokens for before you get the level for it.
  11. You know, I stopped playing RS at the end of May for reasons completely unrelated to my dis-satisfaction with Jagex... and [bleep] me, the more I see this month, the happier I am that I did. On the other hand, I kind of wish I was still a member just so I'd have more of a right to complain about this [cabbage].
  12. If Jagex was hacked, they'd target much more rich people. Or, you know, steal all your accounts and add themselves to this clan thing? Or get a maxed pile of every rare item in the game?
  13. For the record, everything in the quoted post is nonsense. I hope he was trolling. Items and money aren't stored on a network? How do you access them without going to Jagex headquarters then...? Can you read,I said they can't.... It most distinctly says "they can" actually. And you really don't seem to know much about programming. A rank in what? Your story isn't making much sense... Assuming they can hack into jagex and get your account info, why would they bother with 20mil. 20mil isn't alot of money, if hacking into multiple accounts will draw attention to the hacker, it would be a much better idea if he just hacked into 1 account with alot of money. To be honest, there are 3 options: 1. your friend isn't as clever as you make him out to be 2. the hacker can really hack into jagex 3. the hacker is bluffing If it is 1, make your own account secure. Change pin and password, scan your computer etc etc. If it is 2, nothing you can do. You loser either way so you might as well pray the hacker is bluffing. And another thing, you said the 'hacker' knew one of you. It wouldn't be difficult to put a keylogger on someone's computer if they trust you. P.S there is a 'multiquote' button for a reason. Just to make things clear we don't know each other irl, just known each other for a couple of years:) There are 5 of us that all co-own a clan(if I say what kind or name,I'll just get a load of [anything u want] about it),a very popular one,and one of us kinda knows the"hacker" so he gave is a chance to give him a rank in the friends chat, but we all just said no,so that's why he didn't do it straight away. 1.I don't know what yr on about,I keep saying this guy knows a lot but u guys dont catch on....he knows a lot about computers. @kimberly-chessy08 got hacked cuz she was very very rich. People get hack for a reason,no one would hack someone that just created a account to see what the game was like, would they.... @sy-I think at this stage, that has nothing to do with this thread, and in fact you are trolling :) And this is no troll thread, what I am saying is he had all the things u guys are saying,so there has to be another way he could have hacked him? Gahahahaha. Do you have ANY idea how much money chessy08 had? Any idea? At all? ANY idea whatsoever? Well over 500x the amount this hacker is asking for. I'm not even kidding. In fact, 1000x works out to 20bil, and I would not be surprised in the least if cheesy08 had that much money (or more) at one point. If anything I'm still probably lowballing the amount. Gonna have to go with troll.
  14. Imo, it shouldn't have any stats whatsoever. Then it's a vanity item. We have an item that's a tier or two up from other items with a similar requirement that you can only get by buying pre-paid Jagex cards. The fact that it's a lvl 1 weapon is irrelevant to me. What really gets me is it only works for the pre-paid cards. Really? Why? The only post that kinda made sense was the one about Jagex trying to attract attention to the cards. Wait, where does it mention this in the newposts? (And by mention this in the newspost, I mean the cards or loyalty reward program or something. You know, something to attract attention to the cards or vanity items.) I wonder if they're irrationally trying to introduce controversial new content by hiding it, which kinda defeats the point of it coming out if no one even knows about it. I also love how they're making a bigger deal out of RuneFest then this new update. The RuneFest one is the top featured update thing, the piece of new content? Nope.
  15. I've had it happen before. It's like WTF I AM EXERCISING YOU YOU STUPID [bleep]! Uh, yeahhhhh....
  16. Why not? Its kinda like introducing your kids to crack. Except without the ability to OD and no v& This is by far the best thing this thread has come up with. Siggied. @ Above: How could you possibly know when he started playing? Judging by his stats (assuming they are legit) he's been playing for like 5+ years in all likelyhood.
  17. I hurt myself with the bottle of red dye. I also think I'm poisoned from ingesting it. Does poison count as an injury? I don't think so. So, I shall sue you! Bahahaha your discliamer fails! I also ran into your twitter feed while reading MTG stuff. -stalk stalk-
  18. Personally, if you're only getting it for a month, go kill dragons for money imo. If you're doing it for long-term, just beat a bunch of quests.
  19. How, exactly, does remote farming help?
  20. The honor system seems like it was made in a time where there was very little K0 power. Where there was very little one could do against an opponent who would eat, run or teleport. Now, in P2P, there is a lot you can do. Between chaotics, korasis, d claws, there's a lot of K0 power. Whether or not any of these are being used in your particular fight is irrelevant; I think the existence of these makes the honor concept obsolete. Once enough people start playing without honor and having it work for them, it would probably start a domino effect. In any case, I see no reason why you should expect honor way up north by the mage arena. The only place where "honor" pk'ing might be useful would be edge and F2P. Lastly, this: People will play however they play. If you want honor fights, you can either make an honor clan focused around honor fights (probably between it's own members to start or something, idk) or you can accept the way things are going now.
  21. Oh please. What did you do to earn your citizenship? Simply being born? If everyone has to 'earn' their citizenship, we all should start over at 18 and work our way up. That way, we magically know who should benefit America. Hah. I was gonna stay out because, well, I live on the NORTH side of these U.S. borders this is discussing (i.e. I'm Canadian) but I like that comment. Random thought: Mexicans in the U.S. are kinda similar to bots in RS. Both of them do jobs that people would rather avoid and depreciate the money one earns doing those jobs because they're willing to work at it for less. A bit sketchy, but there is a similarity.
  22. First off, you are an unedcuated pking [bleep]. Secondly, I am an unedcuated non pking [bleep]. Moving on, I'd like to point something out. All these rules came out when RS moved to RSC because of a lack of ability to PK someone. Since the beginning of RS2, Jagex has introduced certain controversial, powerful weapons such as Dragon Claws and Korasis sword. These powerful weapons are great K0 weapons. The existence of powerful K0 weapons would logically outdate a set of rules specifically made for a scenario in which K0ing someone was virtually impossible if they used all the anti-K0 tools they have. To put it simply, you stated that all these honour rules were invented because no one would be able to kill anyone without those rules. I believe you. What I do not believe is that these rules are still necessary in order to PK (and more specifically, finish them off). Sure, if someone safes and/or teleports or wears a ring of life that makes it more difficult, but it is doable these days.
  23. Do we have to have this topic every time there's a new updates? The day of an update, about half of the regular players don't play. Ish. Roughly. Very roughly. And for the record, I'm including bots as regular players, if the bot is on regularly.
