  1. Thing is, I'm not sure I've ever seen the Sag Body recommended for someone who didn't have a Hex, in which case the Sag Body is actually adding a large amount of accuracy to said Hex.
  2. I feel the need to point out that a pin is only 1,000 combinations. Even if the pin wasn't removeable, it probably wouldn't take too much to create a program that could hack a bank pin in a week or two. A 1,000 combination pin is far less secure then a password, so if they can get your account it's just a matter of time till they get your PIN (so long as you never check in on the account.) In fact, something about PINs: if you try too many combinations and fail, you go 15 minutes until you can try again. If logging out resets that, I could probably MANUALLY hack a pin in a week or two. Also, these are very conservative estimates. Anyways, what if you forget your PIN? The reason I know about the 15 minute timer thing is a long time ago, I changed my PIN then in the space of few hours forgot exactly what it was. I remembered the "hint" for lack of a better phrase, but I jumbled the numbers. Figured it out a few hours later. More on-topic, Jagex doesn't replace lost items and I can't see them restoring lost stats.
  3. Jagex rarely fixes old content, instead tries to bring out better new content? Idk. Worked for summoning and dungeoneering. I think Jagex would be better off revamping old skills, as well as doing something to prayer/herblore so it's feasible to actually train it without just having a huge cashpile.
  4. Same thing happened to someone I know on world 70, which I don't think is on the list.
  5. It's relevant. I proposed that the whip vine would be useful on tasks where the cannon does most of the work, then we had to discuss how that effects cannon accuracy. As for the verac's switch thing, I read somewhere that they're planning to fix it. Although that could have been a dream. Well, considering the suggestion for most cannon-able tasks is to use a whip in the first place, and considering the vine whip has better stats then the whip >_>
  6. Yeahhh. I'm nervous every time Jagex makes a long-awaited sequel to a quest because it seems obvious that they put a new person on the quest and they seem more interested in just finishing off the storyline rather then continuiing it in the same vein in which it started. The only series I have confidence in is the Mahjarrat one - the elves might make good future quests and the new Vampire quest might be good.
  7. I was pretty sure it worked the other way around, where a clan in multi-combat could pile people in single combat. I also understood that this feature has been around for years. Either way, on the scale of actual clan vs clan fighting, you should have the ability to run far enough in either direction to ruin that little trick I'd think. Btw I know very little about PVP.
  8. Hate to be negative, but I call BS. When they say things like "increass 10000x" and such, it seems unbelievable. Their actual demos didn't impress me much, especially considering how angular a lot of it was. I saw a lot of hard 90 degree angles in the water. And although the concept itself makes sense, if you put in 1000X more polygons or atoms or whatever the hell you wanna call it, you need roughly 1000X more processing power. Maybe slightly less if you find a more efficient way to calculate it, but still at least, say, 750X more processing power (being highly optimistic.) Besides, none of the actual graphics looked anything better then what I'd see on a really good PS3 game. Oh, and they sound like a pyramid scheme returning for round 2. (We have incredible technology, you invest in us, we disappear. Ok. Now we're back, we've done lots more advancements, we probably want you to invest more money in us.)
  9. True. In my opinion tho, if you're gonna do it enmass, you might as well swap your spellbook. Still, all it'll do is help. Ignoring the time spent getting the spell.
  10. The only useful spells to add to the lunar spell list are combat ones. For all other spells, there's spellswaps, tabs, or just switching spellbooks. Explorer's Ring for alches too. Hope not. You know, with Jagex telling us to start working on it now and everything, it'd be freaking nice if they told us how many points we'll need. Same with RC robes (altho pretty sure that place is less painful then Livid.) Thought. No one seems to have read the "new patches" line. More herb patches? More teleports too, altho considering how useful the last bunch was... (south fally anyone?) Also, kinda nervous about this quest tbh. A lot of Jagex's new continuing-storyline quests kinda sucked imo. They just all had a very different feel from the original quests; you really got the impression they put someone new in charge of completing the storyline.
  11. The guy said he wanted to mainly do slayer. Hence a discussion of which chaotic is better for bandos seems slightly pointless. At any rate, chaotic rapier preforms decently enough at Bandos that unless you want a chaotic explicitly FOR Bandos, there's no reason not to get the rapier. (Even at Bandos there's debate for choosing one chaotic because rapier is better for minions.) Anyways. From this thread, I see two tasks where rapier is not the best option. Rapier doesn't perform badly enough at those to warrant a different chaotic then the rapier,* as best as I can tell. He could always block wyverns and just try out rapier on WFS. *Assuming access to only one chaotic.
  12. "When you use the vine-whip, if you switch to full veracs set after the special, the 20% damage cap is removed!" Obvious glitch is obvious. I personally don't like the idea of coming up with a meta-game use for something that should, and most likely will, get a patch. Also, I love how this has turned into a cannon discussion.
  13. What's with Jagex and not letting us get duplicate items anyways? Lots of items like the ring of kinship that, although there is no purpose in multiple copies, it would be nice to have as a placeholder in your bank and have no reason not to be able to get multiple copies. Then there's the crystal chime/saw, which for some reason you can only have one of (TOTAL) despite the fact that it would at least be nice to have a crystal saw AND chime in your bank...
  14. No, a DIYer is someone who does everything themselves. Which means no ge, no trading ( except heroes + shield of arrav), no teams, no pking, duelling etc. Also, depending on their rules, they may or may not do minigames which cannot be done solo. So for example, if they want bandos, they solo bandos till they get it. If they want whip, they wait till 85 slayer and get it as a drop. No staked dueling* Sorry, had to throw that in there. They do clue scrolls, yes? Clue scrolls occasionally require use of the duel arena, yes? Anyways, personally I think it'd be better to just make a new account to DIY but it's up to you. If you get to a respectable level DIY-ing from now on, it will still probably look pretty impressive.
  15. Yeah, thats because they dont fall over. As well as not doing "Tree" damage to NPC's. That scene was made frame by frame from about 3 screenshots. (Except for the last sentence, every actual 'scaper knows all of those things.) Anyways, yeah, the sound aspect is really cool, but the constant succession of different clips can be painful. Cool idea, good sound, but you need to learn to splitscreen it considering how fast it switches. I find the fast switches aren't bad if it's the same area tho - for example, the succession of a couple firemaking clips was pretty good because most of the background was the same. On a similar note, the start of the video might look better if both of those fight scene things were done from basically the same angle. It might be cool if you put more detail in the tree part, maybe zoom in if possible; the part of the tree falling and doing tree damage is cool, but it's rather zoomed out and easy to miss.
  16. 1. You should still get the 21% damage bonus. I do not know this for a fact, however. 2. No. 3. N/A 4. The term hit is fairly vague; to me, a hit is a successful attempt to deal damage during combat. But definitions aside, the Magic Damage Boost that certain items give - such as the arcane stream/chaotic staff - applies ONLY to the target monster (or player in a PVP scenario.) 5. Battle robes/staff of light is the better option. Also, don't take any arcane stream or any of the DG mage amulets/necklaces. Explanation below. Battle robes has almost the same magic bonus as Ahrims; Ahrims has significantly more defense but you should be using prayer at rock lobsters, whereas battle robes saves a lot of runes. The chaotic staff is actually a really bad choice at rock lobsters - because the magic damage only applies to one lobster, it means that one lobster dies faster then the rest, and thus spawns faster then the rest - this can be a problem if the lobster you kill happens to respawn before you're done killing the rest and starts attacking you. (This has happened to me.) In fact, the only reason the staff of light is good is the runes it saves - the magic bonus is actually a detriment there. This is also why you want to avoid the DG mage amulets/necklaces.
  17. X/10, where X is an element of the real numbers. Deal with it.
  18. Gotta stick with While Guthix Sleeps. Best storyline from a quest, awesome rewards, hard but not stupidly MEP2 type hard. Fixed.
  19. WHAT. Why not. Since when. Anyways, as for healers, form what I know about them is if they're too close to Jad they'll still heal him while attacking you. One option is just attack Jad long-distance, i.e. long enough distance that the healers won't be close enough to Jad to heal him.
  20. You should consider something other then boxing tbh.
  21. Like Brunokiller said, you forgot that the mace gives you a 10% magic bonus. And, actually, God Spells with Charge hit higher then Surge spells. Although Surges are supposedly better then God Spells because they have higher accuracy, according to people who spend far more time then me researching it.
  22. Ok. I see two points of complains. 1. Unless you're a 138 with chaoticS, overloads, and a few bil to spare, you don't stand a chance. 2. The amount of loyalty points you get is insignificant. When you put those two things together, it seems a bit balanced - yeah, the average scaper has no chance of winning, but even the people who make it to the grand final only get 500 points. With the 100 points for signing up, that's also gonna tempt a lot of people - altho, only for the points lol.
  23. Your right about that. Sane developers use micro-transactions and have you purchase DLC's as it much simpler to make money that way. But sane developers do not force anyone into buying DLC, and generally make no more than 4 (as a rule of thumb). Jagex, on the other hand, are employing every trick in the book to coerce people into paying for RS, lest they want to miss out on half of the holiday items available and so on. It's shameful. Ha. Haha. Ahahahaha. Gahahahaha. Do you really know what every trick in the book is? Every trick in the book includes, um, not having f2p except a free trial and extensive micro-transactions. Frankly, given how Jagex has only recently started these rewards and the facebook-RS acc integration, I think they've just started to read this metaphorical book. In fact, from what I've seen, if all you're after is money then you're better off just offing subscriptions and concentrating on micro-transactions instead. As for this update, if the update doesn't cause any more then the usual amount of rage-quitting most updates seem to induce, judging by the rants section  and causes people to retain membership when not playing for these loyalty rewards, then it's a very good move on their part. I think that in terms of recurring-memberships, this could be one of their most successful updates every because people keep being a member for it. Note that I'm not necessarily a fan of this update, as it brings Jagex one baby-step towards micro-transactions and I would hate to see those in RS. But I'm enough of a capitalistic [bleep] to recognize and respect a good business plan* when I see one. Plus, this update made me want to subscribe again so I wouldn't miss out (note that the reason I quit was because RS gets too addicting for me at times and not because of dissatisfaction with Jagex) and thus, their plan worked on me lol. *what I think is a good business plan @ Above: I think one of RuneScapes major failures is the fact that there are very few new players* starting RS and sticking with it. I could be wrong. *By new players I mean the person behind the keyboard; I want to make this distinction because a lot of people seem to go through multiple RS accounts, especially if they're into customizing an acc for PVP purposes.
