  1. Drugs can mess around with the chemicals in your brain, thus inducing happiness. Therefore, Drugs > RS. Sorry, I can't resist pulling that [cabbage] whenever a fun argument starts. Oh, and due to the subjective nature of fun I demand we cease all "fun" arguments on tipit until such a time occurs that we have brains scanners that will allow us to accurately measure the amount of "fun" that a person is having on RuneScape. That is all.
  2. Surprised Jagex didn't make it stack with bxp tbh. I'd totally pay for a 1.1 modifier on TOP of my bonus exp modifier. Speaking of which, when the hell is Jagex gonna make prayer trainable on bxp? Anything else I can think of saying is redundant and has been said by someone already.
  3. Hate to go against the whole "come up with a solution for issues" but really, the afk player is the elephant in the room. I really don't want to play RS knowing that if I go afk for 5 minutes for whatever reason, I could get reported - and more importantly, basically a temp-ban - for, well, being afk. Oh, and some of the worse bots are at places like green dragons, frost giants, tzhaar, etc. These areas would technically be too dangerous to choke someone at. Hate to be negative but this has too much potential for abuse, mis-identification as a botter, and still leaves us with loads of bots at pvm areas.
  4. My first reaction was that this needs to be a real thing (before I watched the video.) That was quite awesome tho.
  5. Try and do WGS and kill tormented demons. Or do barrows. Or kill the bot-infested Frost Dragons. Pretty sure you're at the very least a few herb levels off of WGS tho. Also, you lose like 26k per rune platebody made. This seems oddly relevant. From the looks of it, you should do barrows/frosts until you have the money for herblore and whatever other skills you need for WGS. Then you'll have all 3 as an option. I love how this topic gives [me] the impression of living in a time when skilling was actually good money.
  6. I'd like to point out that in the world of sex, spanking isn't an oddity. I love how on-topic this is.
  7. Guess I could give kiting a shot then. Still iffy on melee'ing Jad. What stats do you need to overpower the healers? Might need to borrow a set of dragon claws. Also, just realized I could use a few stewed overloads for this =O

So I just got a jad task from Kuradel. Now, I've killed Jad (once) before, using only range in the caves. This took a very long time. Since I've done that, I've gotten a rapier and extremes. So, basically, I would like advice on melee'ing the cave - with the exception that I don't want to actually melee jad or the 360s.
  9. Ur in-dung pic is inefficient. Dere is no ranger. l2efficiency Also... You can recruit me if you promisve to write stuff @@@ I thought /obt/ was the only one allowed chaotic penis's.
  10. > Implying anything is going on.
  11. This blog is awesome. And spam.
  12. Remind me to try using rapier on my next task instead of ZS. Pity. Looking back, I kinda like how it's a task that requires something other then my standard melee kill weapon. Also, Ice Barrage should turn them into Ice Friends imo, but that's entirely beside the point >_> @ Above post: at certain low levels, it's sometimes worth it to say, take a LBS to dragons. Altho, this (probably) mainly applies to people who can't even use a whip lol. Honestly, most monsters weren't designed in a time where defenders, rapiers, extremes, piety/turmoil were out, when the idea of using potions/prayer and something better then a dragon was something that would be a very rare occurrence. Outside of DG and bosses, most new monsters don't seemed designed to reflect that either.
  13. I consider the bank thing a good thing imo. You need to set a limit somewhere. Once you hit over 400, that almost certainly means you have too much crap in your bank. Unless you want your bank filled for ZMI (which I've done on more then one occasion) or are one of those people that collect hundreds of effigies. I recently cleared my bank out of stuff, mainly stuff that, altho useful, I can easily buy back if I actually want it. I also have a tab filled almost exclusive with semi-hard to obtain junk that is utterly useless lol. And I suppose not selling my h'ween for prayer/herblore is a bad idea lol. Some of those are actually useful though and are likely to be part of future quests. Besides who doesnt like sledding every now and then and grabbing some trollwiess flowers :P I am sad that I don't have my sled :( I need to get it back sometime. Also, if I want something now, I'll often fall into the trap of overpaying for it. Honestly, it's worth it sometimes. Sometimes the GE price can be too far off the actual price. I won't do this for really expensive items tho.
  14. Have you considered getting climbing boots, fairly ring to Relleka slayer cave and take the back root in? It isn't as slow as you'd think. Also, the dream mentor fight is harder then the Love Story quest imo, lol. Number 3 isn't gonna work. They already gave an option to tele to the troll stronghold when on Lunars, i.e. tabs. You should get tabs. Tabs are amazing. Tabs are sexy. Personally, I'd try and get tabs... As for cosmics without abyss, I'm 99% sure that the abyss is faster. If you're willing to get high enough agility to use the good shortcut, that isn't too bad, but unless you want 99 agility anyways that's probably more work then it's worth. Why do you want to make cosmics anyways o_O
  15. You sound like you're trying to scam us. Serious. Classic line. I'll double your money but we're doing it in two trades. No. [bleep] you. Do it in one trade of gtfo and smd. As for the people who fall for it, I think some people just need to get scammed to learn their lesson. I don't think a few more warning labels are gonna help. In fact, I'm not sure they help at all. Almost anywhere. @ Above poster: wanna meet me at a bank and gimme 5m since you're so generous? Lol.
  16. You know, half of the time people complain about graphics, it feels more like players are complaining about the change to something they're used to then actually disliking the new look. Or nostalgia, like this topic - I just hope people realize it's nostalgia, not that the older way looked better. The only way to get a true view on that is to ask someone looking at it for the first time which one is better. What I miss... general store. In the pre-GE days where people would sell their items in it and you could buy stuff other players sold there. To be honest, I wish there was some way you could incorporate the old general stores while keeping the GE somehow.
  17. Probably herblore for me. Might try to get 82 RC as well. Plan to sell a ton of MTK loot when the BXP is announced, then buy herb supps once the hype dies down, which so far it's done consistently on past weekends. If that doesn't happen, I'll train it after. Or, I might be busy that weekend and not play o.O Wish I could use it on prayer...
  18. In that case, I expect a well defined playstyle - and even then, the best way is still the most efficient way according to your playstyle. If a person is, say a DIY-er, it might be more efficient to keep the drops from mithril dragons.
  19. You aren't boerd of RS, you just aren't interest by it? Bored: Feeling weary because one is unoccupied or lacks interest in one's current activity. So, um, yeah, you're bored of RS. My first thought when I saw this title is "not play RS." Pretty much do that - find something else to do, perhaps another or a book or something.
  20. You know, forcing stuff on people "for their own good" is actually EXACTLY how totalitarian and authoritarian governments work. This only works if, you know, the people in charge of "doing things for your own good" actually, um, know better then you. The only place this situations exists is in parent-child relations. (Young kids.) In any rate, considering all the things facebook gets used for... I've heard bad things about their security settings. But like anything online, you just need to have the mentality that whatever goes on the internet might be seen by anyone. If you're thinking of putting something on facebook that could land you in serious [cabbage] in you parents/boss/the government found it, you should assume that they will and not post it. Well, at least something on a site like facebook that's all ABOUT sharing information. What I mean is, don't stop say, RS membership because you think their database will be hacked and your credit card stolen. But don't post things on facebook that you want kept private. Or, what I really love, people doing something illegal and posting it on youtube. But I'm getting offtopic.
  21. You speak of "Martial Arts" like it's a certain collection of movement or whatever, but it really isn't. Martial arts: "Martial arts are extensive systems of codified practices and traditions of combat, practiced for a variety of reasons, including self-defense, competition, physical health and fitness, as well as mental and spiritual development." (Wikipedia). From that we gather that the term 'martial arts' refers to the collection of such systems but is not itself one of them (also I don't see where I ever denied that martial arts involve weapons...?). Secondly I would argue that implementing any such system in Runescape is useless and doesn't actually improve the game. I don't quite understand your first argument, care to elaborate in layman's terms? In response to your second argument; I think it does improve the game - it adds variety to what is currently a limited range of melee attacks. 'One for all' weapons are great in that it's so versatile, but it poorly reflects what truly happens in combat and fails to bring about a level of 'skill' that I think should exist in combat - which appears to be the case now, as the Chaotic Rapier seems to be the predominant weapon of choice against most things. It may require a new mechanic altogether that's less reliant on a random number generator in order to calculate damage though... @Grasle - 'no.' is not constructive criticism, please refrain from spamming on these boards. I fail to see how martial arts would help anything. At most, it's just a mini-game. As for weapon variety, most weapons actually have uses somewhere. As for stuff like, say, the Rapier being the best weapon against 90% of monsters, that's because (for complex reasons) Jagex has ended up making most monsters, well, weak (relative to someone with high melee stats, a rapier and extremes.) In any case, as someone has pointed out, huge overhauls to the combat mechanic would be better off seen in a new game, and boxing staking is popular BECAUSE it takes virtually no skill. Frankly, if you wanted a game with 'skill' that should exist in combat, you probably should have chosen a game where the primary fighting method is "order character to attack the enemy and heal (eat) when necessary." Making a new mini-game based on this is possible, but fitting it in with old content.... isn't. Or, if you feel like being optimistic, it needs baby steps - first make a mini-game out of it, see it being popular, introduce these mechanics in many future updates, and eventually reach a point where it is so well liked and common that it starts being worth retro-fitting into older aspects of RS. To be what in my mind is realistic, you'd be lucky to see it be a somewhat successful minigame.
  22. You're all going to hate me when you hear that at one point, I didn't believe getting duplicate pieces was possible - based on personal experience. Of getting full lumberjack.
  23. I can't imagine a combat system based around weapons and armour, while at the same time having a martial arts combat system where you don't really use weapons/armour. You'd need some sort of class system to separate the hand-to-hand fighters from the shield/sword users. And RS isn't a class-based game at all. Really, in a RPG game like RS, martial arts fighting is just another combat style. All it offers is being able to save money by not getting weapons/armour. What I'm getting it, all that martial arts would be is an alternative to melee combat. Having a character with access to both simply means that the meta-game determines which one is better, and the other one becomes obsolete. To me, this is the sort of thing that can only work in a class-based game. At which point they are called monks.
  24. Give us a freaking toolkit at the start of every Dungeon please and thank you. Also, rune ess. This would be far better for DG then another actual bind of some sort.
