"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Because people who believe in monogamy don't see how he placed an unrealistic expectation on her. ... I really want muggiwhiplar to start discussing his poly beliefs so I can bring up my conflicting feelings on polyamoury. On the other one hand, I want a monogamous relationship and am somewhat religious. On the other hand, polyamory seems to objectively be the better option for the human species as a whole.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
That's a HORRIBLE, horrible definition of being rational. What you are saying is that people are capable of thinking about their actions. What he did was OBVIOUSLY the best, or near best, course of action for his own ends. What makes his actions rational or not depend on what those ends ARE. Ultimately, whether or not he acted rationally depends on whether or not his desire to get revenge on the girl and hurt her emotionally was rational in the first place.

Well with the way armour works, we might need those bind slots for armour anyways.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
There's nothing wrong with feeling the way he felt. HOWEVER, there is something wrong when he chooses to act on the way he feels... Namely? When, uh, THIS is how he feels like acting? http://forum.tip.it/topic/192134-i-want-a-girlfriendboyfriend-and-other-such-relationship-advice/page__st__12480#entry5289284 (Mod edit: please refer to the SWF edit in RPG's post :))

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Ok. This is useful information. Thank you for sharing. I logged-on to the RS main site, then checked the forums and saw it there. Fyi tho, the fact that you have to log onto the RS site and go to the forums to see that means it's very easy to miss. If you don't regularly go on the RSOF anyways, or get told about it by someone like you, I don't see how one would know if. On the other hand, if one REALLY wants the outfit, it shouldn't be that hard to go looking for information on when to go on, or just try going on every like saturday and if you can go on, figure out what you need to do for the costume. You even get an in-game notification when you earn the outfit piece. (Sucks if something prevents you from going on RS during that time period however. In case anyone is wondering, the next event is PC from the 3 to 6 of August.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Would this be on the beta forum which is only accessible to players who have unrestricted beta access in the first place? BTW, the RS toolbar is a far, far better way of viewing the newsposts.

Ugh. That makes me sick. I can kinda see the "do it on valentines day to make it worse" but the rest... ugh. Head to her place, bring her stuff, confront her about cheating on you and walk away and leave. If you want no contact with her, block her from your phone and email.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Pretty much sums up everything I asked and more, thanks. Sounds somewhat annoying to me, and I've seen a couple of YouTube videos of the Evolution of Combat and all I've had to hear about it was nasty reviews. Maybe 1 in every 500 people said something positive about it.. You've read 500 people talking about it? Aside from that, have you heard of the phenomenon about how only pissed off people comment? (It needs a name. Maybe it has one and I don't know it. Probably that.) Basically, a person is far more likely to go on the internet and whine about something as opposed to go on the internet to talk about how awesome something is. Secondly, a lot of people have the "They changed it, now it's ruined attitude!" What that attitude is, is hating any form of change out of sheer dislike FOR change. Many people are also accusing Jagex of becoming more like most MMORPGs out there. Well, the flip side says that there's a reason certain elements are common to most MMORPGs. Lastly, it's a beta, and Jagex intends to take player input and update things. The beta gets updated almost every week as far as I know. Many things are going to change between now and then.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I want to be optimistic about the beta, so I'm hoping that either the meta-game just hasn't discovered a real meta-game yet, and/or that Jagex will introduce new abilities or something to fix that.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
It's an attempt to redo RS combat. Some of it is fixes, like make 2h weapons useful, make the combat triangle relevant again, making protection prayers less OP, removing special attacks for adrenaline abilities, which make RS combat more modern, more skillful. Also to make it so combat can come down to personal preference rather then just certain options being better then the rest. It's very complicated.

Xp after 99
Best suggestion ever. In all honesty, getting 99 in a skill... well I wouldn't call it hugely difficult or a giant accomplishment or something, but it is something that takes a lot of time and effort to acquire. (More about time then effort really.) And remember with like, 24 skills, making exp useful after 99 makes a huge impact on completionist capes or max capes - afterall, if exp is useful after 99 (besides highscores) and you -only- have 99 in all skills, you aren't truly maxed. Also, effort into making skills more useful should be applied BEFORE level 99, since most skills are useless in and of themselves. DG, diaries and quests alone don't count for useful content in a skill. Like smithing. Outside of DG, what the hell does smithing offer? And with the way DG is now, it's only useful for opening doors, not making armour. (I mean, SOMEONE being able to make the armour is nice, but they only need to do it once...)
