I think that schools should be teaching the things necessary for the job a person wants. For example, elementary school can be learning English and math skills, scientific method, etc., middle school would be learning about different career paths and what job would be right for you, and high school would be taking classes to meet the needs of the job that the person picked. Most of the stuff I learned in elementary school was crap (Seriously, going over Abe Lincoln and how he "saved" the slaves for 6 years straight?) and could've been used improving grammar, spelling, or math skills. Hell, if we didn't have those history and science classes I could've probably been doing long division by the end of the second grade. Banned from all advanced math classes? In Pre-AP Pre-Calculus you'd do extremely poorly without a graphing calculator.

Get as far away from the city lights as you can. If there wasn't so much light pollution at night we'd be able to see every meteorite burning up in our atmosphere every night. But yeah, there's too much light pollution, get away from it.

I'm currently reading Battle Royale and it's just... Wow... I mean, if you've ever read The Lord of the Flies, think about it like that, except everyone starts going insane at the beginning and is conciously killing each other off so that they can survive. I feel really energetic today for some reason. It started just before band class and I feel like I could do anything right now!

I'm only going to buy 2 more game this year. MW2 is the first and this will probably be the second. I'm curious to see which of the 87 bazillion guns will be the best.

Unless you're some sort of astronomer or marine biologist there's really nothing left in this world to give adventure that can change the way we live. It is sad but true.

I do notice a lot of the flaws of the people around me. Most of them can be easily corrected but nobody bothers. I also think you're being too white knight about this, dizzle. "Getting back" at them won't do anything.

I don't know why but everytime I go to the movies there's also a jackass that leaves his phone on. I mean after 3 different clips of "It takes many people to make a movie, but 1 phone call to ruin it" you'd think people would set it to vibrate at the least.

You act as if playing any online game in general has a point. I don't see how anyone can get so addicted to any game. The difference between Farmville and an MMO like WoW or Runescape, is that with the time you put in it, you get something back. No matter how much money you have in Farmville, or how many levels you've gotten, you can't do anything that someone who has 10 coins or is only level 1 can't. While the "reward" at the end for Runescape or WoW doesn't really have a point in the real world it sure as hell is better time spent than on Farmville.

My dad is addicted to the "game" It's pretty annoying with him having to come upstairs every 4 hours so he can harvest some [bleep]ing blackberries. It makes no sense to me why anyone likes this game. Gaining levels means nothing and doesn't put you at an advantage against lower levels. The money and objects in the game just take up space and do nothing; a bronze dagger in Runescape has more use than a million coin villa. It's a bigger clickfest than Runescape, at least with runescape you could use the levels you gained clicking for a quest or something.

I'm not going to torture it. Right now I'm studying the little guy. I'm trying to see what kind of moth it is at the moment.

So I just caught a moth. He was flying around the light being annoying like all moths before he fluttered down in front of me and landed on my desk. He didn't move. I nudged him with my pencil. No response. So now I have this moth thats in a coma inside of a glass cup. What should I do?

That anime club sounds crap :( Our anime club is pretty fun, I'm the leader of it and everything. We've got a website and forums, we sit around and chat for about 10 mins then I'll talk about any events we might attend, updates to the website and all, then we'll watch an anime that we vote in every week as Anime of the week, we'll watch the first episode of that. There's about 10 people now and it's quite difficult to get control, last year was a bit nicer since there was only 5 of us and we were a really close knit group, but this year should be better once I get to know the new members. We also have our own ID cards and everything :D *** I've been watching The Wallflower as my currently watching anime, it's basically 4 bishy boys trying to make this woman (who reminds me of me a lot :mellow: ) into a proper woman. Very Ouran High school-like, it's not really amazing but it's decent. I need to watch the rest of the new Haruhi episodes since I've not watched any since the conclusion of Endless 8. Well our anime club is ok I guess. We can talk to each other, though since we are still banned from watching too much violence we don't have much to branch out on. That leaves most of the good animes out. What?! Are you guys just watching slice of lifes and harems? I like SoLs and harems but wouldn't the action oriented anime be better for watching in a group?
