Tipping
I tip for adequate and above service and only hold my tip when service is just terrible. @Veiva: People at fast food restaurants are paid minimum wage.

One could argue that by having employers underpay their waiters and waitresses, the workers will always strive for excellent service so that people will tip. Otherwise, if they're getting paid for whatever then what's the point of continually checking up on your group rather than a group of their friends?

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I hate how my cousin can get away with all kinds of crap with her chores. She just left a kitchen full of dirty pots, pans, cups, and silverware without a word from my parents while I'd get yelled at for not washing a couple of bowls if it were my week to do the kitchen.

Truckers get paid per mile right?

I don't understand how you can go from saying that if someone doesn't like their job they can just quit and then jump to how bad your job is. I'm sorry that your job isn't deemed "tip worthy", but to me and apparently millions of others, delivering food directly to somebody's door is the extra mile compared to other minimum wage jobs.

A trucker gets paid well, doesn't use their own car (most of the time), and are the only option when someone needs a large shipment moved a long distance while you yourself can just pick up your food. And it's never as simple as just refusing the job. People need to work and have to take any job they can get.

Because it's not like that's what their employer pays them to do or anything  Not to mention delievery costs extra money regardless of you leaving a tip or not. Go pick up the food yourself then instead of making another person use their car and gas while risking their lives to deliver your food. Where's this food going to? Somalia? I'm not generally a believer that "doing your job properly" deserves a special reward. It's what should be expected in the first place. The food's going to your house, because not only did you decide that you didn't want to make the food, you decided that you didn't even want to go through the effort of leaving your home to get it. Any number of things can happen to a driver that isn't his fault. Somebody could drive into him, an accident could be blocking traffic on his way to you, he could be robbed, it could be blazing hot or freezing outside and he still has to get the food to you in a timely manner. Not to mention that a lot of the time they also have to do other jobs in between deliveries like washing dishes or preparing dough.

I've been wondering, what counts as "exceptional" service? It seems to me that a tip should be given unless the service was poor, not the other way around.

Anyone who delivers food to your house deserves to be tipped.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Am I the only one finding it absolutely hilarious that we don't need women for either of those needs? For cooking, there are more male professional chefs than female and generally a male is pictured when cooking something like steaks or anything else you'd grill. Then there's the obvious fact that we can have sex with other men or just masturbate

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
My friend thought asking someone to Prom on April 1 was a brilliant idea because he could play it off as a joke if he got rejected. I'm pretty sure that qualifies as one of the dumbest and most pathetic ideas of all time. Didn't help that one of my other friends told him it was a great idea (not to be mean, he's just not the best at thinking things through). But yeah, I explained to him how awful of an idea it was and he ended up not doing it. Why would anyone ever think that's a good idea? The person you're asking would automatically assume you're joking and would deny the invitation to save themselves an "APRIL FOOLS I WAS JUST TROLLING".

End of March/beginning of April should be fine. I wouldn't recommend April 1st though.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
I finally got around to beating the main storyline. Dragonrend is so nice in combonation with Marked for Death. I'm building my character so that when he's level 81, he'll have 400 Magicka, 400 Health, and 300 Stamina. Only 40 more levels to go.

My last semester of high school starts tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to the 8 straight weeks without a break or early out but I am looking forward to the government class I'll be taking. Government should be an interesting class during an election year. On that note, what's a university like during election time? It seems like everybody is going to be really into it because it'll be their first time being able to vote in the election.
