  1. Damn it Skull, you said you were on the pill!
  2. Regarding the date, when you verbally tell somebody the date, do you say "It's the 8th of March" or "It's March 8th"?
  3. If it were a life or death choice, I'd have to go with cute and semi-smart. First because I don't want to be with an idiot, and second because I don't want to be with someone who repulses me. I don't think it's shallow either, because a relationship doesn't work if one person constantly wants to punch the other in the face or put a paper bag over their head every time they have a conversation.
  4. correct me if I'm wrong but the display of the iPhone after two years has yet to be matched and you think that in just a few months iPad will be matched? There will be cheaper tablets with cheaper quality. http://androidadvices.com/galaxy-s2-iphone-4s-features-specs-comparison/#Display Well aside from the fact that that's on an Android fansite, I took this quote from them = The Galaxy S II phone has WVGA 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display with a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels while its competitor iPhone 4S has 3.5 inches IPS LCD touchscreen display with 640 x 960 pixels resolution. It does not beat the iPhone's display. Pixels don't determine image quality

    Forever alone?
  7. Now watch, as in the coming months others will be producing the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost of the iPad!

On Facebook, arguing with people on my own status about how I don't support KONY 2012: DONE!
  9. Riku3220 replied to Gradeskip's topic in Off-Topic
What group do I fit in if I'm aware of the fact that Kony needs to be stopped but I know this KONY 2012 COVER THE NIGHT is complete bullshit?

Or how about people living in first world countries without homes or food?
  11. Riku3220 replied to Gradeskip's topic in Off-Topic
Nobody here is saying that he shouldn't be stopped. We're just aware of this entire thing being a new fad to appear like a moral (Let's save the African children!), yet cool (KONY 2012 GUYS!) person to their friends.

I know this isn't going to stay very long because the people who are "going" to these events are the very same people who copy and paste statuses because they think it actually helps find a cure for cancer or legalize gay marriage. Basically, they're people who want to get things done but are too lazy to do anything more than a couple of clicks and a few keystrokes to accomplish it.

It's $12,000 for all four years, so $3,000 for each year or $1,500 for each semester. Either way, combined with the Hazlewood Act, it takes a good load off of my family's shoulders.

Lucky. Is that just fees or living costs as well? I can use it for room and board if I want.

The $8,000 scholarship that I won in February was upgraded to a $12,000 scholarship!
  16. It's really good. I didn't expect much but it's awesome. :) It's about 50/50 with the action and the teenage girl fanservice. If you ignore the parts that endlessly describe irrelevant details then the book is actually quite good in itself. Catching Fire isn't as good because of a greater amount of the fanservice, but I thought it was decent. I haven't read the third book but plan to. Thanks for that, I'll keep it in mind. You could always just read Battle Royale. 100% action.
  17. What the hell is this crap? I applied for the same job on the same day as somebody else. They have no job experience, didn't list any references, had worse availibility than me, and they get scheduled for an interview? What the [bleep], did they draw names out of a hat or something? EDIT: Forgot that I had already posted earlier. Sorry for the double post...
  18. This. For the love of God this. A general rule of thumb, if every person and object is labeled with "le", leave it at 9gag.
  19. To be fair, if it's a store that you go to a lot and buy a metric crapton of things every time you go, you're completely losing out. And they already have records of your sales. What do you think happens with receipts?
  20. Whoa there Rpg, you can't go knocking down half of the world population just because of your feelings towards a few of them.

    Less.

How come every time My_Eggs disappears something happened between him and his girlfriend? I think he might actually be dead this time.
  23. It gets a bit more complicated when dealing with social situations, though. The same premise can be applied to getting a bad grade in a class: While some students will realize that it means that they have to work harder, many others will conclude that the teacher just doesn't like them. In this case, it seems to have worked as intended, if the many articles quoted on the OP are to be believed. Which is why the fear of failing should also be included.
  24. I'm talking about all ages until adulthood. Please tell me what you would say to a toddler that's running around yelling while at the doctors' office or to a teenager that badmouths your family on Facebook to get them to stop. You can explain the consequences all day but unless one of them actually happens they have no reason to stop. EDIT - As for an example of fear and understanding working together, think of a child touching a hot stove. After the first time, a child has the understanding that touching the stove will indeed burn them and have fear of the pain that being burned had on them.

I've always assumed that a decent pair of jeans (no holes, rips, or tears, not wrinkled etc.) and a tucked in Polo shirt would be fine for a job at a restuarant or something. Then again, I've never gotten to the interview stage of the jobs process...
