That's a great style you got there. :)

Looks good. :) What's the difference between world machine and terragen? I tried terragen once... didn't turn out pretty.

Sounds like fun...

Actually you're only meant to get roughly 10% of your line speed if you called it a megabyte per second because everyone makes that mistake (even the phone companies). If you want to be technically correct you should call it mega bits per second. Because that's what it really is. Say for example I've got a 256 kilobit (not kilobyte) connection, then I should technically download stuff at 25.6 kilobytes. That's where people get confused, because everyone says they have a 1 megabyte connection or 512 kilobyte connection... but it's actually a 1 megabit connection and a 512 kilobit connection (because people always abbreviate it to mb and kb, that's where the confusion starts). Note: I'm not really 100% sure on this, I read it somewhere, can't remember where but it makes perfect sense to me because I have a 256kilobit connection and I download at roughly 25kilobytes a second. :) -
So for it to be a true vector would I have had to have drawn it in flash or photoshop? (of which I have neither).

About the whole "Don't lift weights when your younger" debate. It IS actually true to a certain extent, but you have to lift a hell of a lot to actually make it happen. What actually happens is this. Muscles join onto bones on each end of the bone (ligaments attach bone to bone). Okay so you've got your muscles there, and when you try to grow, your bone growth plates expand. This means that the muscles has to stretch and adapt to this expanding bone. Now there is where the problem lies, if you've worked out heaps before you've done most of you're growing, the muscles will be overly developed and they can stop the growth plates expanding. Although it is rather rare for this to happen properly because you have to bulk up big time. And Teh Brad. You will need some SERIOUS motivation to get you buff if you are a natural ectomorph like me. I eat twice what my friends do, I can lift almost twice what they can (except for my friend who actual goes into body building comps ), yet I still weigh hardly anything and look skinny with a bit of tone. It's just not fair for guys like us.

I'm really sick at the moment and I'm also bored, thought I'd do something different to the normal pixel sig so I made this sig. I used my own drum kit as a reference. Everything else just came randomly. :P And the binary code in there is actually my own genetic trait binary code that we did in science. :) Opinions?

Heh, that's cool. You should the inside + outside of a whole house. :P

Nice and simple. Anyway I don't particularly like SBSP. :P

Awesome advice there quer skull. I'd say the best practice for drawing human bodies is life drawing (Which involves drawing nude people  :) ). Also, one thing I see a lot of people doing is in actionish sigs, they don't put much action into the pose, like he's just standing there eating his lunch with a sword in his hand instead of about to stab it into the guys chest. I learnt this from a "How to Draw Marvel" book (Such a cool book 8) ). Try and put action into sigs you do, it makes them waay better.

Sure do. :) Cheers for the crit, I know I messed up badly on the guy in the back. The small foot is meant to be behind the larger one but it doesn't look that way. :( And about the sharks, there are many different types of sharks. I think I referenced that one off a random pic from google that was a tiger shark or something (I just wanted to see what the outline was like). eh, I gotta pay more attention to detail. :)

I love it, Enough said. -
Hehe, yeah I noticed that too when I read his post.

I got hacked and quit RS (and boards) about a year ago... Only recently have I come back. :D Do you mean shading on the grass komodo? I don't really know what shading you mean.
-
You drew them all freehand? That's a little odd. Most pixel artists just draw it all in paint (or something similar), maybe doing a freehand sketch first. Sorry, can't help you.
-
Ah yes, that works much better. I Never knew about that. :x
-
Just drag and resize the dot at the bottom right corner of the paint white "square" and drag it until it says 150X300 down the bottom right hand side.

Looks good! Now try covering the whole nearest hill (the one he's on) with that kind of texture. Make the size of the grass texture appropriate to how far away it is. So for the next hill, you'd make it a lot smaller until eventually you're just putting 1 pixel dots down on the further away hills. I dunno if you or other people like that kind of idea of the texture but hey, it seems to look a lot better then just plain grass green.
-
Take a look at this one I did yesterday. Right click on it and press save as... save it somewhere and zoom in on the grass in an imaging program (paint). Notice the texture on the grass? It's fairly simple (although time consuming) to do. Just keep zooming out or looking at the preview to see if it looks right.

Looks terrific. :)

Mmm, I never saw that. I did infact start off with them shaking hands but then I changed it to exchanging the bag... forgot the edit the handshake
-
Thanks for the CC teenageloser, I think I'm gonna go draw just some poses freehand on paper to practice that. I use Graphics Gale (like paint except better). Manual shading all the way... It's what TJ used for his pixels. Plus I don't even have photoshop (where the hell would I get $600... I spent all my $$ on my computer. )

Looks nice. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the lack of texture. Grass (well close up at least) isn't just all one colour. It screams out texture me. Another thing is that his face stands out a lot because it has black outline on it and nothing else does. If you're going to do the no black outline style, make sure it's consistent... otherwise it looks a bit weird (maybe try a darker skin colour?) Last but not least is the sun, which is well, too big I guess. Kinda looks like the sun is another hill but just orange and all flamey. Just what I think, it's a lot better than a lot of other peoples first tries.

I just drew it today and yesterday, says sample cause buyer hasn't bought it yet... This is my first pixel sig since a year ago. 8) *The hands around the bag have been updated* Constructive criticism is always welcome.
