Aww Vulpix you're puttin words in my mouth. I was speaking of public and free education. College is more about choosing what you want to learn. And the standardization of education would be all fine and good if they didn't lower the standards so that kids who have failed will still pass. If you look at a 1st grade vocabulary assignment from colonial time and compare it to a 1st grade one from the present, you'll see how badly standardization has hurt the education system. I first saw it my junior year of high school and I would safely say about half the kids my age at that time wouldn't know about 9 of the ten or so words on the assignment. How depressing is it that a six year old from 200+ years ago could understand English better than someone 10 years older? And you try and tell me we're moving forward?

Well I never had a gameboy of my own, thank god, cause I get sucked into those things lol but I had a yoyo...it was fun I read a lot as a kid, and I still do. I love to read so much, sometimes I replace human contact with it, but then I realize I haven't seen a person for like three days and I start missing all the cuties I flirt with :P

Okay, I'd read all this off topic nonsense, but it's just people complaining about america and I honestly don't care enough for america to defend or attack it >.> OT 1) I hate this system so very much. All I've ever wanted to learn was to read and music. I don't need any kind of algebra, but for some reason to get my masters in music I have to take general ed. which to me is a waste of money I don't have. I don't need to know about american history to live the life I want to live. Home of the free? Yeah, sure, if by free, you mean invisibly chained by the idiots in society. It's cause of the standardization of education instead of the specializing of it, no one is interested. No one wants to learn the same thing as everyone else, we all want to learn the things we're interested in and things we're good at. 2) Most of my dads side of the family is on welfare, and they are all heavy drug users. I hate this so much, the government funding something it declares illegal. I just want my government to protect me from external and internal threats, why over complicate things with people depending on welfare? I will never depend on the State to pay for me, even if I didn't have a job. Which, btw, there really aren't that many jobs. I've been looking for jobs for almost 3 years nonstop and have only had a job for about six months total in that time. And theres no reason for people not to hire me, seriously, I like working and I don't drink or do drugs or anything stupid... 3) I have claimed my whole life politics are stupid because the ones who are most fit to lead, are the ones who must suffer the idiots who actually get into positions of power.

Okay well heres the back story, it was my friends birthday the next day, and me and some friends were planning on sneakin in his room and decorating his room and stuffs and it worked out well, anyways about the dream. I dreamed we got into his room and he woke up and stabbed us. creepy right? another dream was glowing midgets danced around my bed for no reason.

I am in the same boat with Iamdan(nice siggy by the way :P), not sure if it was trolling haha and frankly OP's secondary posts were pretty... well lets just say it reminded me of Leo from That 70's Show, and no one would say he is very much all there. I would say the exact opposite actually, that he is actually all gone, as in freaking [developmentally delayed]ed. Drugs are stupid, they do nothing but impair your judgement because they make you feel a special way. You could say it's not addicting, but dude, I get addicted to Mountain Dew if I'm not careful, I am definitely not getting into drugs. And I won't be friends with people who are overall [developmentally delayed]ed by their own choice. So if you do drugs....We can talk but don't expect any kind of respect.

I very much hate stupid drivers (and most my friends are really bad drivers) but what I hate more than anything is people who think they're BA for speeding and driving recklessly. I had a friend(keyword, had) who drove like a plain idiot and got pulled over time and time again. And I drove just about 5 miles over the speed limit, not enough to be driving recklessly but still not too slow, and he kept saying I drive like a grandma. Needless to say, I ran his car into a tree one day. Not really but I regret not doing it everyday of my life. Another stupid thing I hate is people who are obviously too far away on a yellow to make it, but speed up, realize too late, then try and slow down in time, and end up stopped in the middle of the intersection. Or people who at a stop sign from a side road going onto a main one, pull halfway into the lane, don't they realize that cars have a front end and your seat should be about 3 to 4 feet behind the line? Idiots, the worlds full of them. Time to throw a fist.

you obviously have a higher tolerance to crap than I, cause I can't even get through a minute of their songs. And I try, I really do, every time I hear a song I sit and torture myself to see if it's even a little bit good but it never fails, I end up leaving angry. Same thing with Journey, I just can not stand their singer.

Cell phones during class is a disturbance if it's on the student isn't even paying attention. Doesn't mean I didn't do it haha I wish i'd had an ipod while I was in high school, but when I finally got one, it was stolen out of my bag during class while I went to the bathroom and I never got it back. Which is another reason for the no electronics policy a lot of schools have, they can't be held liable for that stuff. theres a lot of reasons for the rules even though they seem unfair... but I say let the kids take the risk.

today... I am preparing for a trip to MI to go to their open house, free lesson and a road trip with my friends should be fun :P and BTW I just got my internet back since monday today :P

As for the grades...Honestly I am one of the more...understanding and analytical kids in my class, always have been, but I just didn't care too much for the schooling system cause it just rewards memorization of the answers and not actual understanding of the subject. I just finished high school, took me 4 and a half years cause I was too busy pursuing my own life and I honestly don't regret it at all. So be proud of how you think, it's very rare.

Dude Chris Wolstenholme I've noticed is crazy good!!! lol he's like a shining light for modern music :P And as for Adam...I hate U2, so very much, they're music is atrocious... Don't confuse that with me wanting to kill them I just never want to listen to 'em... Although I've never been a big fan of Bono in general

Well I've read through most of this and I'm disappointed in peoples understanding of civilization. When large groups of people decide to live in one area, there needs to be an overall agreed upon law. If you don't like it, you can leave and live somewhere more preferable to you. That pretty much sums it up. A government can't live without a people to fund it, and the only reason a government needs funding is to protect and support the people. Now this doesn't mean welfare, which is a broken system. This means raising the basic standard of living by helping the people help themselves. Just throwing money around helps no one. And because you live in an area, you're agreeing to the social contract of that government, which usually includes paying taxes. Because you've agreed to that contract it's not stealing, it's what you owe that government for providing the roads you drive on, the hospitals and schools you need for medicine and education, and for the jobs they offer if you can't find one. So stop complaining about how taxes are stealing, it's not "without permission" because you live in that area and therefore must abide by their laws.

I've always hated american education, for it's complete lack of any actual educating. They basically make you memorize everything, teaching you the same thing all through k-8, then at 9-12, you get to choose which crap they stuff down your throats >.> The music department was the only part I enjoyed and I often skipped most of my classes to hang out in the band room my senior year, so I could pursue the things I was interested in. Luckily I didn't get in trouble seeing as I was failing anyways so whatever, I just got my diploma through homeschooling myself >.> I think it would be cool to know a foreign language, but I honestly would not care to learn that much, not because I'm so elitist [puncture] who thinks everyone should learn English, but because I don't care to travel that much and I don't honestly have much time to learn a foreign language when I spend all my days with music!

haha Born 90 here, and honestly I love the 90's, and the 80's...and the 60's...and the metal scene from the 70's. lol I'd include the 70's but I hate disco haha. I tried reading all these arguments, and about halfway through the first one I remembered what the actual threads about and how pointless all this debate is >.> And justice, if properly handled is in no way relate-able to revenge. This to me sounds like an argument I'd hear in some story where the bad guy thinks to win some sympathy points or make the hero of the story think twice about what he thought was right.

These guys are pretty good, but I'm not sure that I would say that Entwistle has nothing on these guys. Honestly, it's a whole different instrument really, these guys would not be able to play a bass guitar the same as the people we've posted. Same as our rock/pop/jazz bassists probably wouldn't be able to play the double bass like that Rotaru guy. It's just not the same. And anyways this is a thread about Bass Guitar, not double bass haha but nice videos pretty impressive :P

or you know. he could play quieter lol it's honestly that hard, I played with a group last night I was on the drums, their amps aren't anything that powerful but we made it work, cause I used a technique with the kicker called feathering, and I cross-sticked the snare for the quite parts. When it got to a louder part dynamically I would actually play, but you gotta learn how to old back.

Okay I've been putting this off for awhile lol this guy is absolutely horrible. His beats are horrible and it feels like he's listening to something completely different. Now normally I hate rap anyways, but I can appreciate someone with talent, but this guy seems pretty devoid of anything remotely musical. His rhymes don't even rhyme, and I'm pretty sure that the people who like it just cause of what his background is. Which I can respect, doesn't mean it's good music though. It's like when I criticize worship music, people get all offended and saying that it's good music, but honestly it lacks any dynamics and is pretty horrible. People don't think about the music but thats all I think about lol just cause its worship doesn't mean it has to suck, just cause he comes from a hard place doesn't mean he's good >.>
