I (thought) I had Diabetes (discussion changed)
Pfftt haha. Im kinda figuring it wont be that bad, drink more "sugar free'/"diet" things, (I already drink only diet soda/teas and sugar free others. Not so much candy, take a pill (hopefully) once a day (or if im unlucky, a shot -_-) Even then I can still have the occasional Coke or whatnot, and plus i plan to start exercising more (helps alot) so i will loose some weight.

What i mean is for others to share their experiences or thoughts on having the disease and to give me general lifestyle tips from thouse who have had it awhile that arent medical, more kind of regular.

I (thought) I had Diabetes (discussion changed)
So anyway when i got up I retook my blood test and it came out 87mg/dll. I ate breakfast and took it again and it came out 127mg/dll. Three hours later it came out 91mg/dll. My mom, a 30year diabetic assured me im fine for now, it was just the sugars from the food i ate plus i had 2 cups of coffee + cream and sugar at work (I work at BK) We called my gram (A registered nurse for 55 years) and she agreed. I will go for a blood test Nov 1 (ealiest time the labs open) for a true 12-hr fasting blood test, and until then we will monitor it ever day, if it begins to [bleep]e, im going directly to the ER. So now instead lets talk about diabetes in general, if you have it share your tips, experiences. \ Original Topic [hide=]Well its very very common in my family and I believe I've contracted it. Im here, urinating pretty frequently, always cottonmouthed and "overweight". So tonight I decided to check my blood sugar becuase im starting to worry, and sure enough it was 207 mg/dll, This was about an hour after eating (i have 4 waffles w/ butter and syrup) and a vitamin water. I will talk to my mom tomorrow and get an appointment but i cannot believe it... Hopefully its a false alarm but my life so sucky right now i might as well just accept it. Anyone else here diabetic who can give me advice in case i do get it? :( What i mean is for others to share their experiences or thoughts on having the disease and to give me general lifestyle tips from thouse who have had it awhile that arent medical, more kind of regular. And YES, i will ask my mom to make me an appointment for a doctor tomorrow.[/hide]

Ive handled this stress for over a year (it used to be worse) so im not saying I NEED to smoke, just i thought about it.

Starting to Smoke
Ok hear me out. Im 18, im a senior in high school, and i work at Burger King. I live a very very high stress life. My parents treat me like crap and try to run every part of my life. Im taking all the hardest classes in my school, including 2 actual college classes. I come home with 4 subjects of homework a night, but before that i have to work from 4pm-9pm (5pm-1am saturday) So recently ive felt the need for a ciggarette, bad. So my question, is one or two ciggerettes really all that bad for you, smokers/nonsmokers weigh in. Edited in 10.01.08: So 50% of the posts ive gotten were "get over yourself, you life is easy, tehehehehehehe watch me on my high horse" This is my reply: God DAMMIT!! this is NOT what im saying. For gods sake, does eveyone have a stick up thier arse on this forum or what. I can HANDLE my stress or i wouldve done myself in a long time ago. WHAT IM ASKING is if ciggys are REALLY that bad for you, and i used that story to give REASON why im asking that question, NOT BEACUSE IM SUFFERING FROM TEEN ANGEST! And for those who say exercise, ii honestly dont have time, but i do when i can. IM NOT SAYING I MUST HAVE ONE IM JUST SAYING IVE HAD STRANGE CRAVINGS FOR THEM SINCE THE STRESS LEVEL IN MY LIFE INCREASED!! Sorry, im just really sick of the saracasic immature kiddies who always post stupid HAHA YOUR STUPID< GET OVER IT HAHA HAHAHAHA. Off-Topic has really really gone downhill in recent months -.-

Buying a New Desktop, STILL Need Advice
Ok so im working on buying a new Desktop (Just the tower) Id like it to be good from gaming, but nothing rediculous. Id also like it to be for under $599. Heres what I had in mind (dell) [hide=]PROCESSOR Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor E2180 (1MB, 2.00GHz, 800FSB) edit OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista® Business Bonus MONITOR No Monitor MEMORY 3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 DIMMs HARD DRIVE 320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache OPTICAL DRIVE 16X DVD+/-RW Drive VIDEO CARD ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB SOUND Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio KEYBOARD & MOUSE Dell USB Keyboard and Dell Optical USB Mouse FLOPPY & MEDIA READER No Floppy Drive Included MODEM No Modem Option[/hide] So whats the best brand for quality/price? Installing RAM=Beeping Noises
Well i tried to intall my new ram. I did it on my matress and didnt move much, and touched a piece of metal not connected to the computer beforehand (and during) I put the RAM in and i got beeping noises and what sounds like the computer running extremely fast. If its fired im (multipled explitives). Anyway to save it? Im planning on taking all the ram but the original out, but im guessing i just screwed myself. (im panicking extremelty extremely bad becuase my folks are gonna kill me hardcore) Details: It sounds like the computer is running way too fast at bootup, with reapeating long beeping noises. I tried taking out all the extra memory but its still no good. Im honestly asking for your best guess and all opinions, from the bottom of my heart. WHAT SHOULD I DO! UPDATE: I flipped the ram around and put it into the 4th slot. I heard a snap in sound (not like a breaking sound) I plugged it in and its now just buzzing extremelty loud and im not getting any picture from the monitor.

Installing RAM in your Computer? (Oh no, see new topic!)
[hide=]Ok so i have a computer with 233MB of RAM, terrible right? Well i have another tower with 512MB of RAM that I dont use anymore because its too old and cant support more than 20GB of memory. So I wanted to take the RAM out of it and put it in my new computer, but ive read you can easily ruin your computers. So heres the question, I dont have any antistatic thingys but, how much risk too the computer would i be taking by doing this myself (Wearing gloves)? I plan on using a good instructions site while doing so. Any suggestions, ect?[/hide] Ughhh here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=761168
