well i think it might be alot quicker to make a little level 5 pkr to hop worlds and look for rune miners .. hmm :scratchs head: but i say only if its autoers. I dont believe in pk'n people that are out doing stuff like , using the abyss and all that kinda stuff

my friend has been fighting trolls for slayer, in a cave near releca. hes gotten 2 grave diggers in the last half hour we've been sitting here, i dunno if a coincidence, I'll guess we'll see

the funny thing is jagex not only has more peope online than some of the more major mmo's according to this article, the also spend no money on advertising, and a majority of their players come from word of mouth only :) But i imagine that his will at least get some people to come try out the game. especially since its under the games you never heard of, that should spark some interest in people to come check it out. but after playing a high graphic based mmo it will be hard for ppl to come to runescape and appreciate the game play, since the graphics wont compare to their current mmo they may be playing.

I dont know if your refering to me, but i didnt get banned for macroing, I wouldnt do that.

its pretty sucky you cant play for 3 days, I know how the feeling goes. when your off work or have weekend time and planned to do all this stuff, 3 days can seem like a long time. I went through the same thing, I got a 3 day ban and i was like, wow thats terrible I cant play for 3 days, it seems like and eternity. then 10 mins later I got perm banned. that was 4 days ago and I still cant get over it, everytime i think about how long it took me to get 60 runecrafting I feel sorta sick inside. and then I think about how long and hard i worked to get dragon legs, and med, abby whip, all the quest i endured to complete legends, and its all gone. Jagex imo has terrible customer service, and I said b4 how could a company soley based off of customers have such terrible customer service? my main problem with my situation is i got 3 day warning, and then banned within 10 mins of eachother and feel it be very unfair and should at least get that chance they gave me to redeem myself. Its wrong your falsely accused, but at least 3 days from now you can play again, imagine all your hard work destroyed? hopefully things work out for ya, but at least you can still play.

It is all to true that all us "older" gamers grew up playing games, heck i remember when choplifter on the apple IIe was the bomb, green graphics, come on now :) I still have my nintendo from 1986 and it works!, lol , I dont play it really ever, but its there for a little blast from the past. and companys do acually try to target games towards an older audience, because we have jobs and money to buy them, and the kids get to beg for them(which i remember doing quite well) So if there wasnt more adult gamers out there how would mmorpgs survive? Im sure some parents dont mind paying the monthly bills, but others probably will have nothing of it, they would rather you do your homework or something :lol:

i find myself timing how much of X thing i can get done in an hour all the time to see if its worth the time, or if i should try something else. your theory for the green drags is great, but i imagine alot of folks dont have 84 magic to tele to the wild by the dragons which probably saves tons of time opposed to running from edge and or varrock. I myself used the ectofunctus all the time for my dragon bones, but i got sick of gettin killed at the level 13 wild green spot and the 23 is a far jorney so i ended up just killing blues in taverly, which took alot longer maybe, but i didnt get pkd which when that happens always slows things down alot. I didnt think of doing the ring to castle wars, that would save alot of time. i just ran to the ghost bank and ecto'd back. i also waited to fill my buckets for when i came back, i thought of filling them b4 i left, but it probably doesnt make much difference which way you do it. as for the prayer bonus experiment, wow you must have been bored :P it is very usefull info to have esspecially when you know exactly how many prayer pots to bring to last you for X amount of prayer. I always just put on everything i could find with a prayer bonus, minus the dragon mace, (I figure if you bring a whip or something you will kill things alot faster and in turn would equal out the extra prayer you would have from the mace) and roll out and start killing :0 good work

yeah im 26 and i play video games all the time. I was browsing through stuff on gamertagpics (for xboxlive) and someone had a link to it on their page. I checked it and played a little bit. I didnt really think it was that interesting at first. then a week later i decieded to give it another try and i really got sucked into it.

they dont even need to get elborate and put in a post off and all of that stuff. if you could simply send someone an offline message and when they log in, it will be on there chat box. that would be great, alot of mmorpgs have this.

yeah i got that pin number put on my account right away, and whenever i logged out for the night i threw everything on me of value in the bank because you never know what might happen. I do feel for you, im sure it was a sinking feeling when you opened your bank and everythings gone. now with that being said, obviously someone logged on your account, took all your crap and gave it to another account. now if jagex is such great detectives and banned me on some dumb stuff, and bann everyone else for one sided trades ect, it should be easy for them to find out who now has all your stuff and who to bann for hacking your account.

Back about a year ago santa hats where only going for 400k, and i kick myself everyday almost that i didnt work my butt off and buy at least acouple, but a a year ago I was broke and 400k was alot of money too me. should've realized that they could do nothing but go up in value since they where dropped by jagex, and not something you can get from a monster. for example the abby whip used to cost 10mil a year ago, because not very many ppl had 85 slayer, now they are dropping in price weekly, and stuff like gilded armor used to even be 10mil now its worth about 4, its a little rarer to get that in a treasure trail, but i guess alot ppl have gotten lucky over the year.

ahem 3k an hour? what the hell? i think its morel ike millions an hour with nats, 3k an hour is hopeless 3k nats in 3 hours, thats 1k an hour, so 300k in an hour, 900k for working 3hours. thats with small medium and large pouch, its impossible to make 3k nats in an hour. but, yeah for f2p do the rune ess, theres alot ppl out there that need it, and ess is going 35 - 40 each so 35k for 1k is easy to get.

i make nature runes, lots of em.. i can make 3k in 3 hours and i try to do that every day when i get on, or before i go to sleep. so far beside merchanting, (which i dont have the patience to stand around typing all day) thats the best way ive found to make cash

think of it like a roulette wheel, when you get a drop the first wheel spins, and one spot on that wheel brings you 2 a second wheel. if you land on the spot and make it to the second wheel the ring of wealth is supposed to effect you chances of getting a better drop

ive posted it somewhere else before but mmorpg stand for mostly men online role playing girls. if you keep this in mind, you wont get tricked into giving a bunch of stuff to "girl" in the game. you will get enough of this from real life girls, no offense to any girls out there, but its true in MOST cases.

i acually had this happen to me when i was level 3 and just started playing, i was wandering around not really sure what i should be doing. some higher level told me to follow him and he would give me some stuff to get me started, and had me follow him in front of fally to the house where the vampire is. i got attacked by the damn tress and died. I lost all my noob stuff and i almost quit playing, im glad i didnt. but yeah thats really lame of people to do. pray on the people that are just starting the game, what are they really gonna get outta of it anyways?

nice progression there :D its taken me 2 years to get my stats where they are, but i quit playing for about 7 or 8 months and im acually still suprised i came back to playing, lol.. its a great game, sucks your old character got banned. I dont really do anything wrong, but with all this goings on lately im scared to log in everyday thinking i will find my account being banned. :?

this was a good article, im suprised they spent 3 years researching runescape, lol. they do however bring up a good point, mmorpgs are like a fantasy life that one can get lost in. I know that i cant sit around and play grand theft auto for ten hours on my day off, great game, but it does get old after a bit. but getting into a fantasy world can like this, time flys by and you dont realize you've been on all day long. I noticed that they where mainly basing the article off teenagers and youngens playing the game, but there is acually adults that play the game as well :D I being one of them, some that i talk to and find out that i am older seem shocked that older people play. some asked me once how in the world did you get into a kiddy game like this. well I dont really find it to be a kiddy game, ive always been all about role playing i played d&d back in the day, with paper and dice, hehe. the skill building is very attractive in this game as well. in other larger more graphically based mmorpgs you cant go out and fish for your food and get experience for fishing. alot of them all you can do it go out and fight and once you go up a level then you can put your experience points in whatever skills you want to raise, which can over some time get boring. but the servers are down for an update, :P thats my 2 cents.
