They're trying it out so they can eventually make runescape quickchat only.

I want them to be tradable so people who want to buy them can, and those who would rather collect them can also. But I can see why they didn't make it tradable because if it was someone would get 99 in a matter of 5 days at the most because collecting charms is the most time consuming part of summoning.

It IS expensive. Just for shards the amoutn you would have to spend is over 200mil to 99.

Buyers arn't the only ones complaining there. I've had my 15k gold bars up for over a week for the lowest price possible and I can't sell.... I just want to sell my gold bars. :|

In some ways it is, in other ways in is the opposite. Now players don't even have to think when they buy items, they know that they will not get ripped off.

They simplified the game for little kids. It's not how it used to be. Now you don't even have to think while playing the game. You can't get ripped off when Jagex controlls the prices. They've made it into a more thoughtless game which it was not in RSC days.

Great new stories. It's a shame alot of people don't visit this thread because they don't like to read that much. Keep it up.

All new content and esspecially new skills are desinged to keep members and bring in new ones...

It can't kick in because Jagex has almost total control of the economy. How are players supposed to control the economy of an item like a partyhat which is worth over 140m when they can only change the price of it by 3k. I dont see how jagex will be able to change the prices of the Grand Exchange regularly when they got so many prices wrong to begin with... they don't know their own prices.

Get someone who can type English better to write a querey for you and maybe you will have a better chance.

Well I finally achieved my ultimate goal. It all started about 3 years ago when I sold my cherished white phat that I worked hard for and bought for 11mil. I sold it for about 30mil and bought steel bars with that money. This got me to level 84 smithing. Then about a year ago I sold my masks and bought some more steel bars, but I decided to go with gold ores instead so I merchanted more and got enough to get me to 99. During this summer I got up to 98, but then I quit runescape totally for 5 months. I came back about 3 weeks ago and finally achieved 99 smithing. 4 of my friends were on when I got it. Alot of my friends already quit runescape, but I just gave everyone 1k gold bars because there weren't alot of people, thats why I have gold bars in my inventory. Sorry I couldn't catch all the "grats". SOMEONE DIDNT COME>>>> COUGH>>> you know who you are.

We've already seen that Jagex doesn't even know their own market prices. They don't update the GE prices often enough, so I dont think this will be a functional economy unless Jagex changes their actions.

Jagex states that they will still let the economy go by itself and let the players decide the price...how will they control the economy when they can only vary the price of a party hat for example which is over 150million, 3k gp.
