  1. Now that I think about it and have read those explorer notes that's one of the bits of lore you get as you discover the god wars area. It's nothing new...
  2. wa? Rs wiki has full transcripts of every dg journal =S I could never find them before. Irrelevant to me now as I am 116 and read everything from other sources. But at one point jagex was very adamant on the issue.
  3. Well if anyone manages to find those explorer notes please transcribe them here. Rs wiki can be a fickle [bleep] because of ther hard line respect for jagex claim of ownership they've made regarding to transcriptions of text. Dungeoneering notes being the biggest example.
  4. And the last one detailing the life of Graardor and how he and Bandos came into being mercenaries.
  5. Just got bandos notes... I'll post later. EDIT: oh sweet I cna't wait ot read zaros!
  6. Yes please send in a screenshot and I'll transcribe them. So far we got zamorak, armadyl and if you send me a screenshot of saradomins that leaves bandos, and zaros left. I went to bandos and had no luck getting anything. Heading back now...

  9. Another book I found on the runescape.wikia. This one enlightens us on the saradominists deceitful actions and how they had gained the armadyl crossbow.
  10. Seriously no one has posted any more of the lore tomes? I know some of you must have found them.
  11. Yeah there is a picture a couple pages back. And on the wiki there are pictures of the ward too.
  12. Caught this on runescape.wikia. It details the creation of the robes of subjection.
  13. Anyone know where I can get the texts for te lores? I plan in camping for items, but I'd rather get this information sooner.
  14. Oh durrr I thought it was today. Sleep it is... And probably a nice bit of dung before work again. Edit: Lmfao that pic was amazing... Zamoraks aborted child.
  15. Currently on a midnight shift and I get off in over 2 hours. Do you think it's worth it to stay up for the update and maybe get the kill count for bandos? Right now pretty much the only items I'm interested in this far are the bandos helmet, gloves, armadyl gloves aaand... I think that's it.
  16. It might not seem beginner friendly, but this junk about how you need food to train right? Well just as you take a beating so should your armor. Maybe lower level armor could degrade at a slower rate? Maybe just marginally until they get higher up?
  17. Dont think of why should gear be repairable... I mean yeah ok it seems redundant, but no many supplies go into aching. I feel all gear should be repaired because it would use up more of the resources.. Perhaps make it so that equipment could be enhanced for resources, and while the base armor doesn't degrade, the enchancement does? So you could boost rune to being either level 55 or 60 armor temporarily. I don't know... Not a bad idea. I just like the idea of repairing everything to consume resources. Even if such an idea was 1 bar per piece.

  19. I'm hoping that they do this sort of thing with all higher-tier equipment. Craftable (But not exactly easy to require) item that degrades into nothing, or a permanent item that's considerably harder to get (With things like Nex armors becoming permanent). EoC has a lot of opportunities to revive the crafting skills with things like this, and it's kind of sad that Jagex is (supposedly) adding many of the new items through monster drops instead. I'd rather wait until the "Evolution of Crafting" than have 2 new armor sets that need random craft/smith levels to make. That doesn't fix crafting, it just makes all other armor look bad. Crafting has since the release of dragon hide and jewelry had the potential to be as useful as smithing. Personally sets such as mystic, wizards robes and others should have been craftable ages ago. And on another note I think all armors should be made degradable. I mean like actual craftable armor should require bars to repair and would totally revive the smithing skill as well as crafting.
  20. Imagine this... You have just found a group of people willing to join your team for a run at Bandos stronghold where you'll undoubtably face off against his toughest general Graardor and his sergeants. After donning your gear and making the long arduous hike through trollheim and into the bowls of the icy mountains you make your last and most grave preparation. You dig into your pockets and pull out your favored trinket that has brought you much luck. Historians dredge the depths of time when the world was wrought with feud. Those times were grim and breaking oaths meant death! Lore refered to a bauble mercenaries called the Bloodpact totem. These mercenaries would swear an oath placed within and if broken would face revenge sevenfold. You plunge the trinket into the farthest reaches of your vest hoping for the best. Far off in the distance a group of men in heavy intimidating armor sit atop a windswept rocky post. These men all stern and of grave matters discuss their plans. Then silence sweeps in as they all gather themselves and make their way down the boulderous terrain and into the ices lands. One by one they go down a mysterious, but ominous cavern by rope. The echos of battle cries and the clashings of beasts can be heart. The warriors knew what they were getting themselves into. As the last of the men slip maneuver down the rope into the ice laden icy temple. Several of the warriors stoop to take a look around to be sure they weren't spotted. Some distance above the throngs of battle rests an ancient landing dedicated to the arrival of some potent being... Who knowing long past into the sands of time. On this landing are four pillars etched with ancient symbols, worlds, phrases and maybe even spells. The warriors gather and once again all pull forth similar trinkets as before bringing them together. Then te men begin muttering to themselves, but all the same words from different mouths... An oath sworn in to bind their souls together. As the warriors mutter the last words of the oath they unravel their whips and unsheathe their swords. Now begins their battle as they file down one of the four wide step paths leading down the landing and into the bloody floors below. The Bloodpact totem acts very much similar to a ring of kinsmanship. If you click on the Bloodpact totem a new tab will appear on your tab bar. Within this tab you can create a party by hitting the "form party" button. From there you will be granted the ability to right click and invite friends at certain locations. Players who want to be invited should make note that they should have their own Bloodpact totem so they can link themselves with a party should they leave an instance via death or disconnection. Don't worry as the Bloodpact totem is a keep on death item. Party forming locations are located: - Anywhere within the second cave of the corporal beasts cavern. - Anywhere between the four posts on the god wars dungeon landing (safe zone that is slightly expansive and risen above the battleground). - the nature spirits guard post above Nex prison (expansion of area made due to required room for players). - Shantay pass. - The King Black Dragons alcove (a new safe zone area for parties). Once parties are formed the leader will ask players to go into their Bloodpact totem tab and hit the "ready" button. Once all members do so then the leader can enter. The leader has two options when entering the room: A. Click "enter" on the doorway, cave, etc. or B. click "enter as party" to sent the whole party into the safe zone of the instance. The leader will then be prompted that they would be entering a dangerous and instanced area and to confirm. Once inside the instance the party would spawn themselves inside a safe zone room. These rooms are designed to have an exit point to regular servers and an entry point to the boss room. Players have to enter through a passage that lets people in, but not out to abuse the safe zone for initial entry. If a player tries going through the boss door they will immediately suffer a 5 minute cool down before entering the room again.
  21. I think jagex could make a binding item like the ring of kinsmanship that binds players together. How about an item called the Bloodpact Totem. The item could have a similar interface as the ring of kinsmanship. Instead you'd have options to make a party, turn coin share on, turn loot share on and maybe an option to turn on legend mode (if jagex every makes harder versions of bosses). Jagex could then make rules/regulations where players and gravestones are instantly transported out in the "lobby" area of god wars dungeon if they disconnect or get booted. The doors to the halls could block groups and send chat notices that certain players haven't met the kc req. Pretty much everything that you see in dungeoneering teams would transfer over. Obviously some things would change to safeguard booting for drops or luring.
  22. Maybe not top gear, but as far as affordability its classified as top gear. I think all players need to keep that in mine... A lot of players will outright exclude nex gear from their judgment zone because of how expensive it is./\
  23. I think it's goal is to be a more public way so that players can't complain as easily that they are "doing nothing" Generally the same thing in my mind... I mean honestly look at the earned content players will recieve... A burning pitchfork emote? Yeah I'm all for quelling the masses yet at the same time giving them what they think they want which is seeing the "execution" of a bot. Really I'm waiting for the first player who thinks they really assisted in anything other than reporting... Now thats laughable.
  24. I'm willing to bet that they'll use the old tutorial island as botany bay. On top of that I believe that players wont have any real say... I am fairly certain that it will be jagex system that condemns them. Then afterwards they get send though the botany bay. I would almost compare it to a medieval king who is certain of what he will do, but still asks his subjects whether to kill or enslave the person. In the end the king gets what he wants.
  25. wut even is a goliath gloves or a fighter helm or a chaotic kiteshield or a ddf? Goliath gloves will be chaotic level crush weapons in EOC, but for now are great. Dragon defender is an offensive shield which is crap in my books both for live and EOC. Fighter hat I believe will be crap in EOC iirc and only serves as a mid level item. In live it's alright, but most helms float around the barrows grade stats. other than that the best helm in gane is neitiznot/fighter/veracs depending on what your doing. Regardless its still shoddy gear and leaves a big gap between torva helm. I admit I flubbed on the shield part, but I think my mind was more on the "drop, tradable or craftable" objects within the game.
