  1. My money's on a major glitch causing many rares made into a customizable piece to disappear in the first few days. Jagex will apologize but point to their rule about not returning lost items. Secretly, Jagex figures out how many rares were actually lost then puts those back in the GE at mid price. My money on the other hand is on the players hoaxing the said glitch, hoping to cause an artificial rise in rares and profit from it. I'm glad to say that I've heard jagex has changed their stance on returning lost items due to hijacking. With that said its doubtful that a legitimate case made from a glitch would be declined the services to return lost items. My money is also on the hype placed on those hoax situations.
  2. If any of you who are upset over the customizable piece from the general store and are thinking it will devalue rares you should your homework. It has already been made public the mechanics of this item. When you use the customizable piece on another item it locks that item in some form of storage. I would presume that it's probably something much similar to how lending goes. I'm betting lending actually uses the same mechanic of storing away say something such as dragon claws and gives them an expiring version. So the player that turns the item into a cosmetic overlay will end up putting that item in a storage and therefore cannot be taken out to trade.
  3. Mildly at best... Personally I would have done similar. I ended up posting a concept of a combat tutorial long before this news came out. I feel that they might be enticing people with xp to test the overall competency of the tutorial.
  4. Someone in the RSOF has an extensive list of NPC's that have been killed off in the quests we've done. Its actually quite lengthy...
  5. Truthfully I think selling dung floors is probably one of the best ways to make money.
  6. What's the new shield and weapon? Also kalphite nursery? I did the first quest and was amazed by it all. I can't be bothered with the second until I get up from sleeping.
  7. I definitely like the bit of time between abilities, but that would probably throw a wrench into a lot of their tweaking. I would actually not mind a slight twitch response type play in the game, but not like prayer switch or flashing. Going through abilities is great and preparing for different fights make abilities more interesting. I wouldn't like seeing something like ability, auto attack, ability because that would be dull.
  8. Got my final court case, but have to wait another 14 days to finish it. After that I'm going to focus on doing the circus for all of the clothing.
  9. No I was doing a 2s3l trial and I was leeching. I think I was in the south path and the amount of path that wrapped around amazed me.
  10. By reporting people at daemonheim I hope you don't mean the dung floor seller adverts. Those aren't bad. EDIT: At least not the legit players adverting...
  11. Dung antics... Running trials for a friend chat I'm in. ... And possibly one of the worst map layouts I've ever seen!
  12. FINALLY!... 117 dungeoneering. I got 6 more warp floors to do before I can unlock 59 prestige. Also in the last 1m xp to 117 I found another blood necklace making it 4 found. Sitting at 7.5m from 118 and I got 3 days off which means theres going ot be some DUNGIN' to DOOO!
  13. It's not a race, you know. It is if the trimmed comp cape requires all of them. I would imagine that there are 700 of the challenges to make an actual variety to the challenge system. That way you're chances of getting a repeat on the ten daily challenges in a week would be fairly uncommon. 10 challenges a day for 7 days is 70 challenges so you got a 1/10 chance to get the same challenge for that week. Also I could imagine jagex making it to where the challenge system might offer a trim requirement by saying "complete over half the challenges in a 24 hour period." Probably fairly easy if you plan it right. For EST people they could sleep, wake up at 8pm, do some challanges, sleep a bit more, get up and do the rest before hitting 8pm again.
  14. Been a bit since an update, but here it goes: 751k from 117 dung - finally getting somewhere with this. Sittign at all C1's, 1 ab, 5 occ and 9 (10 after unlocking 59) warp floors form a reset. I got two days off from work coming so hopefully I get a nice chunk of 118 done. Also another blood necklace making it four found. Kind of tempted to bind it, but primal plate is too valuable at this time.
  15. I can't help but think that there are so many "place holder" stats for these items. And yet because of that I feel we are still far off from going live.
  16. Man I've made a rededication to dungeoneering because I don't want to be at 118 dung going... Nuhhhhhh I can't figure out how to dung without dying 5+ times. Not to mention I got a feeling that there will be a ton of rage quitting at dung when EOC goes live. If I have to live through the near same post-release symptoms dung had I may turn into some kind of demonic troll (and I can tell I've already come close from dunging so much). Sooo I wonder if I could get 116-120 before its release (2m from 117)... Oh boy!
  17. Zilyana drops all three necklaces and the armadyl crossbow and that reasoning was covered in the lore tomes. The bandos, armadyl and zamorak generals drop the murmur, whisper and hiss respectively as well and is explained in the sara lore tome as well.
  18. There are I have seen them. The operate on soloing though.
  19. Just finished Miss Schism vs Draynor Village. Next up in 2 week is... Ernest vs Professor Oddenstein. Also best 1s1l leech time: Also got a bandos gloves drop which was a two man split of 5.4m.
  20. ...But you're opposed to prevention in this case. If there's anything I took away from 6 years of modding, it's that it's not a good idea to allow players to have naked avatars. More than that, this discussion about the right ways to teach sex education just isn't relevant to this topic, and blaming the parents for not teaching kids the way you prefer doesn't change a thing about how they're acting now. Don't get me wrong, on any other day or in any other topic I'd probably agree with you. Here and now, however, I'm strongly opposed to enabling the kinds of players that this appeals to. It is relevant because the reason we monitor this stuff is due to our parents wanting to hide sexuality from the younger inexperienced crowd. They would rather cop out and force "decency" than put more effort into prevention. After all it's much easier to tell someone to "jut keep your cloths on" than to say "Johnny has this and Amy has that... Then this is how you were created." patents ate scared because it's too intimate yet, and this is my opinion, should be taught. Edit: yeah actually in a way you are right. I mean some things have to be barred, but yeah...
  21. Obviously the parents fault though. Regardless if you accept blame in the form of negligence or expect public education to offer you the service its still on the parent. Public education sex education honestly is abhor-able because they dumb it down for fear that they'll anger some parent.
  22. Barbies are as anatomically correct as the avatars themselves here. And truthfully as far as general shape goes between a Barbie doll and the real thing a vagina looks pretty much the same (obviously with some female genitalia having distinguishing features compared to others). My point being that its nothing young girls haven't played with or young boys haven't undressed and seen (referring to Barbie dolls). As far as the core piece of the discussion goes... Get the [bleep] over it. Being one who took psychology classes and a human sexuality class its no wonder people get knocked up so easily or are so disdainful of the human body and reproductive system. I have family who has taught their kids the difference between boys and girls as well as the roles of each at an early age (5 year old boy and 9 year old girl I believe). I believe with this issue "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" really holds up well. If people taught their kids this way their enamor with the opposite sex would be more understood and would lead to less reckless wanderings of primal instinct. end rant...
  23. Nothing wrong with this. Besides if you shelter your kids then they won't ever learn. Stop trying to hide the truth from your kids. Instead why not tell them, but also teach them.
  24. It could actually have been the water pocket realm as you call it. I don't think the lunar people created the realms themselves, but the altars as bridges into them. I think Virtus was just so magically adept that he could traverse there without using something such as the altars. On another idea... That zanaris idea is probably most likely.
  25. I think you are thinking the Knight's notes, the one you get from the dying knight when you first reach GWD and are asked to deliver to Sir Tiffy. No because I specifically remember reading that lore about the dwarf ages ago. Maybe jagex when releasing the god wars dungeon the first time hinted at people finding information from reldo... Im not sure.
