You know I agree... But I think a lot has to do with how much enters/leaves market, where the armor stands with community favor and that thug you mentioned about how there is nothing for 80+ players. There needs to be a motive to move on from god wars armor and I think nex is too big a jump because the skill and gear requirements are too high. There's so much about why that it just muddles the understanding.

I'm fairly certain the botany bay area will be somewhat dead content after people get what they want for it. I think just the thought alone that a bot is receiving a graphical "ban hammer" and the the real thing seconds later would satisfy everyone. It almost seems petty, but whatever gets the rs community through the day and satisfied with how the bots are handled, right?

Man god wars dungeon is going to be one hell of a release and so many people are going to be there. I realistically expect at least half of the runescape community who is of moderate gear and skill to be there. Obtaining nex gear and spirit shields are relatively hard to obtain. Aside from that I haven't seen a good replacement for the neitiznot helm, cullinaromancer gloves 10 and Dragonfire shield is ages. Now we are getting the bandos helm, bandos kiteshield and bandos gloves. Also not to mention we are seeing potentially a new tier Mage set presumably just under vertus, magic amulet and ranged gloves and a new crossbow to boot. Let's not forget they said zaryte bows... Longbow and short bow?

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
See that's what bugs me about this games community. Since the dawn of my characters creation people have been going nuts over statistical information. Now at this point in time the metagame development of the community is so well versed. Because of this people could use any viewpoint on statistics to prove their point right even the guy who is apparently "wrong." Yeah technically you can buy gold/xp if your so much of a stat-[bleep] to figure out the gold/xp per dollar. Realistically no one, aside from those who have that kind of money to spend, would do it though. Yeah sure it's possible and I'm sure someone has already bought a huge chunk of their xp. Statistically that person is probably much like a grain of sand on the beach compared to the players who do not heavily buy into this stuff.

I wouldn't be paying to further the game by buying cosmetics. I would be funding their greed and showing I support their microtransaction shops. Really? What a narrow minded approach to their business practices. I mean honestly what business isn't trying to make more money? If you go for a business degree in any school they'll tell you pretty much the motto for business if that if you aren't making money then you are doing it wrong.

How many RuneScape originals from 2001 are still here?
From early 2002... Close enough for me.

I hate when people use such extremist comparisons. We are human beings and we do wrong every day of our lives. If people are going to try so fervently to live politically correct lives then they need to do a couple things. First if they want to try to press that on others they need to stop and look at themselves and see that if they can't get everything right either so why should anyone else be held to those standards? I mean god forbid no one tries because we all do, but give them a break! You live, learn and grow.

Well, the current CEO is the same as the one who once said Microtransactions would never be implemented. The same CEO who started a complete removal of all Membership Advertisement in Free to Play. Look at Free to Play today with all the membership ads. I never compared this newspost to the previous one. If I were to do that, this one would be better yes. Better, but still not satisfactory in my opinion. Agree with your suggestions. LoL has champions you can both buy through gameplay points (IP) or using Riot Points which you get during promotional periods or through real money purchase. Though the cosmetic skins are only available through riot points, which is the Real Money currency. Thing is you actually need strategy and knowledge to become good at LoL. Runescape EXP just shows you've grinded more than others have. Sure you can powerlevel your way to level 30 in LoL through a ton of buffs costing real money, but you could still easily be beaten by a lower level with better strategies. I feel SGS and to an extent SoF promote a premium membership status to those who pay for all the cosmetic stuff. Simply paying for membership doesn't give access to all content like it used to. I hope they realize all the damage that has been done. I hope every day. Nothing would make me happier than to see a newspost saying SoF and Solomon's Store will be removed. I have no belief in it ever happening though. They lost my trust the moment they changed their own rules for their own personal gain. That added on with all the deceiving posts trying to justify their actions while never really admitting to what they've done. I'm willing to forgive and forget if they are willing to remove the mistake of adding microtransactions. I don't understand why there shouldn't be a way of gaining the stuff through investing time instead of money. They've added ways where investing money saves time through SoF, why not the opposite? Think of it like this... You pay to play the extra content. You also pay to help run the company. Now you can pay for more cosmetics that act as an extra oomph to boost the games progression on top of what the membership costs do. People make and break promises all the time. We are human and succeptable to human conditions. Get the hell over it.

I went out and bought 4 of the bank boosters. Also Jagex trolled me: New completionist cape requirement: "You must have scored a minimum of 1,111 or greater in a session of the Big Chinchompa minigame." Not hard, but a good diversion to dung. Been selling floors lately, but I think I'll back off that a bit to do some regular dung and make better progress. 6400k from 117 dung.

The Big Chinchompa & Boost Your Bank! (28th of August)
Sorry I think buying bank space is fine. Matter of fact I bought 4/5 of the bank boosters because there is so much aside from being an efficiency-[bleep] like most players that allures me to it.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Not the same. Jagex has said time and time again that they do not recognize combat pures or skiller pures as legitimate ways to play the game, and have warned them time and time again that updates are not made with pures in mind. I remember a Jagex mod commenting on a rant back when certain equipment was given defense requirements so pures couldn't use them (I can't remember what), that pures should not be surprised if Jagex updates the game to break their playstyle because they consider it as gaming the system. I call bullshit! *throws hand in air like an eager third grader* Jagex has stated that they did not intend for the game to be played the way pures play the game, but thats the extend of it... They appreciate all play styles, but exclude none. Its the players themselves that feeel exluded mostly. They never stated that they wouldn't recognize them... The closest you could get to that would be making a semi-accurate assumption that jagex doesn't want those players to play their game that way with how the EOC is going.

Ok so while dungeoneering might actually get quite boring and tedious when you get past a certain point in the high levels for completionist cape I've made some discoveries to make it more interesting. I've been slightly venting my rage out on these boards in a less than acceptable way and I apologize. One of the harshest sub-communities you'll ever find in runescape will be within daemonhiem. People are very cruel beings there and the demand and level of expectancy for "skill" at the skill is high and there is a bare minimum learning curve. During my exploits I ran into a HUD (heads up display) glitch that took away my death and key share interfaces. I think it happened from accidentally clicking on the overhead banner... I slightly raged on the inside, but since i was getting cash for helping run leeches I was pretty ok with hardcore suiciding this 0 prestige floor. Next up I decided to do my SoF spins hoping I'd get 2 medium lamps or one medium lamp and two small lamps to cover the 32k or so from 116 dungeoneering. What suprised me was... I got TWO medium lamps and a barbeque. ... Sooo heres 116 dung. 7.3m from 117 :s Monday through thursday I got off form work so maybe I can get some serious work done for 117.

BTS#15: Al Kharid: Rebuilding a City (Jagex Video)
Actually now that you mention it I do feel the same. I also would love to own some of the new al kharid clothing. Hey I'm sure that some of that stuff might eventually float our way if the community makes a big enough blip on the radar. I don't think Mage was getting at giving us the costumes NPCs wear just because they look good (though it's not a bad idea), she was referring to the fact NPCs that wear items we already have access too get updated but our items don't. Eg Druid Robes no longer match what Druids actually wear. Even then I would hold a similar agreement. I would love to see more detail in our gear.

You couldn't really expect the to update an area and not the npc's because a lot of them would look gaudy...

jagex introduces auto talker? achievement banner
Can I ask you why you are being so contemptuous and ragging on jagex? Your view and demonstrations of this contents concept are a bit too far for practical use. Like what the other person has stated changing your name and spending 28 dollars is a gross and inferior method of spamming even without a throwaway account. People have learned to play by other rules since... Forever. The fact that jagex is working to fight autotypers is nothing. Those same people have learned to work around those same rules to create autotypers that fly under the radar of jagex detection system.

BTS#15: Al Kharid: Rebuilding a City (Jagex Video)
In so much as usability al kharid is a small city, but very? Hardly! Out of all of the f2p cities and their backgrounds I feel that this area has the most potential to be very culturally and environmentally colorful and express the most of the graphics teams efforts.

Godwars graphical update next week... An intriguing move in light of recent events rewarding the rise of the gods plot line. I'm interested in how long this plot line has. Been culminating because I remember a "quests in this area" category under the god wars section back when we had a knowledge base. Time will tell that's for sure...

Kinda been a crappy couple weeks and not much dung. The whole switch from W67 to W114 as kinda put a knot in the flow of things for dungeoneering. I just completed another court case... Next up is Ms. Schism vs Draynor Village. Also been contemplating buying a chaotic longsword for betas release since the vine whip is my only high level one hand slash weapon.

Well Known RWT'rs banned.
That is such a gross misrepresentation of the player base. You can't say that most people wanting free trade are either bots or RWT'ers without completely neglecting the legitimate merchanting communities out there. Matter of factly said community is comprised of pretty much ever known player type because they are play the market. Free trade has always been in the spirit of the game ever since someone valued obtaining something you had which they did not. Also you need to take into account what players are capable of doing. If you set something with rules, restrictions or any settings for that fact someone, anyone with the will to bend the rules, will find a loop hole or way around things. They will do this so long as the benefit outweighs the cost. And to be put bluntly there isn't nothing short of legal prosecution that will stop someone from doing this (which we know would never happen and would be laughable).
