  1. *** ATTENTION: This is not a rant, not meant to be a rant. This is a general discussion of the problem - I mean, situation - with the new finalized limit. DO NOT FLAME! DO NOT BASH OTHERS IN THIS THREAD! MODS WILL SEE TO ANY RULE-BREAKERS AFTER A PROMPT REPORTING! Thank you. *** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, the 3k gp per 15 minutes limit is finalized for everyone in f2p servers. I don't mind it, per se as to my goals dont need more than 3k per 15 mins per person, as I can get anything i need in the ge. But, I do have a problem, major one at that. I've been RCing. Got from 26 to 43 in 3 days. I'm extremely happy I found the GE to pay for about 6k ess to get to 44 rc. I'm extremely glad I have enough money to go to World 16, the f2p air running world, and go rc. I'm glad I have enough money to pay for trips (I pay at most 1k). But, ever since the new limit has been finalized, the lower-lvled players don't seem to understand. It's funny too, how these lower-lvled players also act like lower-aged children, while the med-to-high lvled players are the older, mature players, telling the lower-lvls that we can't pay them at least 1k for the trips. These lower-lvled runners bring 25 ess unnoted, a little gp, couple airs, some noted ess. But, a common theme for most these runners has been the fact that they think we rcers can pay the promised pay of 1k, 1.5k, even 2k or 3k. They don't take in the fact that there's the limit on it. I know in December, we still had the ability (anyone I believe that had more than 5 qp, or a cmb lvl higher than 15, let's say) could trade normally without restriction, between like players. To the lower-lvls (cmb lvl 3 to 15), they had the restriction on them (of course, to eliminate any last traces of RWTers). I find myself to pay as low as 200 a trip, for the lower lvls. I wish I could pay 1k per trip for them, and I voice it to them. All I hear is "More!", "OMG!", "Noob!" Sure, I even got frustrated and called these immature players (who obviously have not paid attention to the front page) "noobs". I know I'm not alone, and I know many of the older, higher-lvled players are also losing their cool, not just in RCing airs, but other skiller events. I know that p2p have up to 30k in trade. Not much, considering dragon items, barrows, etc. cost millions. I know, I have 93qp and I'd have 10.2k max/15 mins, if I were p2p. But I'm f2p. I just want to know how the majority of f2p tip.iters are faring in the new finalized 3k limitation. What do you think? ~WSW~ -------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: For those of you still learning the new system, it's 3k gp gain to you limited in 15 minutes' duration. You can give a lot of money, to many people, even more than 3k, as long as it's within the limit of the person you are trading. Ex. I rc, stationed at world 16 air altar inside. People usually trade noted for unnoted (25 for 25) +gp fee to the runners. Avg pay = 1k. Every 1 minute = 200 gp increase to limit. Therefore, if you've been paid 3k within 15 minutes, you can get more money paid to you: = 200 gp per minute. = 400 gp in 2 minutes = 600 gp in 3 minutes. = 800 gp in 4 minutes. = 1k gp per 5 minutes. = 2k gp per 10 minutes. = 3k gp per 15 minutes. This is assuming you don't trade right after you've gotten 3k in a trade already. EDIT: This is a pic of the proof. I just got on to W16, almost to 44 rc. And I get pm'ed from ppl I dont know, which reminds me to put priv. chat on Friends... Now, I've been getting some conflicting reports that I have a limit on how much I can give. I know I can give only the amount it says on the limit of the person I'm trading. Can someone please verify this? Or is it that I'm giving out too much money to too many ppl? I don't think I'm doing something wrong. EDIT: OK, I've confirmed it myself. The limitation is based on how much you give . The 200gp a minute increase remains. Wow. I'm shocked. I thought it was the person recieving that got limited. Ok, we're def. screwed. Pardon my french. JaGEx needs to reword it to: can only give out up to atm. Much easier to read and understand. ~WSW~
  2. rings of wealth? just use an unenchanted diamond ring. any gold jewelry will help you get better drops. Maybe the ROW is not working for you. Patience is a virtue. ~WSW~
  3. Thanks cory. That kinda helped. Except, where is the pet shop gonna be in F2P land? Yanille? lol. I dont think they gonna open Yanille up to f2pers. Even though a lot of evidence is coming in as Summoning being f2p-partial... hmm, I guess there's no other reason why JaGEx would drop a p2p skill into f2p. Well, if anyone else has any other supporting evidence that Summoning will be f2p, or if anyone has any other supporting evidence that a p2p skill might be in the works of f2p status, please drop a line in here. NO FLAMERS PLEASE! Thanks. ~WSW~ PS. I still support the idea of a p2p skill dropping into f2p. Just because, JaGEx has been known to drop the bomb a couple times, and surprise the whole... This is not my idea - the theory of JaGEx dropping a p2p skill into f2p - it's an idea. I just brought it to light. I don't care if you do or don't like the idea. I do care if people attack me through libel, or if p2pers atk f2p for being f2p, or if f2pers atk p2p for paying to play. Please, no fighting. This thread is meant for the idea only. NO BASHING!
  4. I have nothing against anyone in the game, except those who treat others with disrespect, or constantly show stupidity in their linear thinking. You are one of these people. March 2001, you started, eh? On that one character? Then you must be a noob if you took that long to get to there you are. That's based on your thinking. On my thinking, I'd give you a fair assessment on your character. I've played for about 2 years, but have read up on the lore and legends of the past, so I'm well aware on certain things. Thanks for thinking my stats "suck", but then in that case, your stats "suck" too. I had not mentioned that any of your stats were deficient in any of my previous replies. I would love you to find out where my jabs at your chr are at, and will then apologize for hurting your feelings. As in the case of your age, you do not act or think like a 23 year old, based on this and other threads you've possibly started. I'm sorry you're not with your parents. I don't want to know the story with them, as you said you lived with your grandparents. I don't care if they owe you money. Sounds like you got a lot of personal issues, and you shouldn't have to mention them to others who don't give a dang. You are extremely immature for your age, underdeveloped in your thinking, and I bet you're lacking in major social skills irl. Sorry your life is the way it is. If you like it like that, good for you. But really, don't think your behavior on the forums and on RS are acceptable to everyone else. ~WSW~
  5. How discriminatory a statement is THAT!?!?! F2P never get updates (like the bankspace - yeah, that was revolutionary... not everyone wanted bankspace.) F2p is good for a year or two more. How'd you like to see P2P get updated once (not even major update), and be good for a year or two? Bankspace is not critical in f2p. Not critical if you don't like the costumes and holiday drops. Especially, because Diango can keep em for ya like a costume room of sorts. It was not a major update, since it was easily possible to add just 4 bankspaces. No, JaGEx gave a whole row. I don't really care for more bankspace. But, there are more important matters at hand concerning the f2p players. ~WSW~
  6. You do know you can click my username right? that shows my stats Ive mentioned in previous posts why I dont like quest, I suggest you read before you post. Being so untrusting of others is a shame, I have meny close freinds ive found throught the game that we used to share and give stuff to help each other. What Jagex is doing will only dehumanize everyone in Rs, making think there in a machine and not interacting with a person that has feelings, thoughts or considerations. Well, hell, Marduk, we ain't against people who are against the changes, we're just annoyed that you would think of some pretty idiotic ideas that could potentially make RS extinct. (trade @ lvl 100 - this aint communism , this is capitalism, you stupid noob - yes i'm calling you a stupid noob, marduk!) You're an atk/str pure. 84 def compared to the high 90's lvls of atk and str... you're just lazy or not imagnative. Get over it. I'm sorry you hate quests based on content. Be glad you have 144 qp. I'd be afraid you'd quit if trade limits were based on qp! (PS I hope you do quit - that way, 1 more major whiner gone from the RS world :P) Unfortunately, your friends that you know irl that play RS you can sure believe they're real - unless they're gettin hacked. The other ppl you met on RS, that you don't know irl, sure they can put on a good convo, but you know if they're legit? They skilled as a cover-up perhaps. It's not a shame to not trust people. That's called being on your guard. Kinda like if you were on myspace talking, and a boy your age wants to meet you. Turns out he's somewhere in his 30s and a molester. Same deal here. A bot is just as bad as a molester, in their respective environments. They're danger to societies. I'm sorry, Marduk, I'm glad you're also not working for JaGEx. You'd destroy JaGEx in one fell swoop. Millions would have nothing to play, and you'd be out of a job. They wouldn't let you even touch MechScape. Bell curves don't work well here on RS. Your argument is invalid, comparing it to college (i'm assuming you meant grades in college courses.) Bell curves... curves... qp is a straight number, can easily be implemented as a linear algorithm to easily limit trade worth and value. Basis: you get rewarded (in this case, decreased trading restrictions) by purchasing a product that a company sells (i.e. JaGEx sells their ideas as quests. Players - customers - do the quests.) You were a mod? Who in the hell gave you mod status? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Off the counter-rant: My guess on the 3000 number is that JaGEx would have created the system so that based on your combat lvl, you could trade up to 1k times your cmb lvl. Pretty uneven as far as the range of cmb goes, but in this case, a lvl 3 autoer could only trade up to (1k * cmb lvl 3) = 3k per 15 minutes to a bot owner's main account (1k * let's say cmb lvl 60) = 60k per 15 minutes. QP is a much smaller number to work with on f2p scale (seeing as you can get up to 34-35 qp on f2p). The trade restriction is much easier to work with, because many f2pers will have done most or all the quests to fully enjoy JaGEx's product. It's again coming to the rewards thing i said before. ~WSW~ Im far from a pure, I used to have 76 defence then I desided to work on it the I become very bored and stoped. Ask most any Mods here on Tip.it almost all know me atleast in some way 8-) so before you got on this your a noob thing, realize ive been around RS since before even most everyone here with the exception of a very small amount of people. Im 23 years old if a boy my age turns out to be a 30 yo and trys to touch me he would be dead within seconds of that attempt. I was a Player mod for a long time, so i really dont see were you get this Id hurt runescape idea. And with the number 3000 ill get back to Jagex thinking everyones a noob. 3000 is a noobish number, You cant do anything theres no variance at all no ability to be flexable. Theres also a problem, what they are doing is over kill, with RWT deals are done in the millions, why set the amount so low as to 3k? thats completely and utterly rediculous. Puting QP as the thing to increase trade limits is unfair to both those that dont like quest as there boring as hell, those that want to stay pureish and those that dont have the time to quest. Firstly, I fail to believe that you are 23 years old if you still believe that stats of your character is a good evaluation of how credible your argument is, and your overuse of the term 'noob'. Seriously, don't use it. Also, trying to be masculine with: 'Im 23 years old if a boy my age turns out to be a 30 yo and trys to touch me he would be dead within seconds of that attempt.', results in no respect from us. Secondly, 3K isn't a 'noobish number', it's just an unrealistic number for more advanced characters. It is very realistic for your basic level 3, 0 qp, under 100 total skill leveled character. Just wait for the trade restriction loosening system to be introduced. Thirdly, the use of qp to loosen trade limits is good because you can't efficiently program a character to raise it. Using combat level is unfair because I think that there are plenty more players which really don't want to raise combat than those who really have to keep their character at 0 qp. Besides, you can really easily auto your way to level 100 combat. In fact, you're giving the RWTers a helping hand because there are already programs in order to train combat out there for the purpose of green dragon killing. What's wrong with quests anyway? They're one of the best parts of the game. Stats are required to do the quest in the first place, do you think they should remove them too becuase they are unfair to those that dont want to lvl skills? masculine?! No i just dont like guys sorry if you do, its not my thing. If someone trys to touch me anywere that I didnt like I will hurt them. 3k inst noobish?! how is that not noobish? thats more then a noob required to do anything and is ussually at most the value of things noobs mess with. No real world trader would make a lvl 100 guy just to sell gold and to farm logs, Its to much investment for fewer returns. I know tons of people that hate quests more then lvling, and dont do them at all. 1) "inst"? I'm glad you're not a player mod anymore, if you're not. Not with that grammar. 2) Will and Co. , thanks for summing up all Marduk's mistakes. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. 3) the whole "myspace - 30 yr old molester" concept was an example. If you were 23 years old, you would definitely understand that concept of a teenage girl being tricked by a 30 yr old man, posing as a teenage boy. I know you're a guy. And I know that facade was put up very unprofessionally, very immaturely. Unfortunately, you definitely do not understand that concept. That makes me realize three things: a. you're a mentally challenged person. (no offense to any other mentally challenged players), or, b. you're not 23 years old. You're more like around 12 or 13 years old. c. you're 23 years old, still live with your parents, dropped out of college, in the basement, dark, the glow of the monitor the only light source when you're playing RS. You're as sad as they come. Personally, I was thinking (B), but you're more like all three when you compose yourself... FINAL JUDGMENT: MasterMarduk is a noob at heart; he might have spent more than 3 years on his character, but has turned into a noob at heart. Age (the number) doesn't matter in this case. EDIT: 100th post. Thanks, Marduk, for boosting my post count. IDIOT! ~WSW~

  8. possibly super restore yes, but not restore pots. Summoning acts like prayer. the higher the lvl, the more time the summon lasts, like the higher your prayer lvl is, the longer a prayer lasts. Of course, I believe with summoning it'll be more time involved in it. Such as the 1st Summoning milesone - 1st summon will be somewhere between lvls 3 & 5 [im not gonna say lvl 1, since there is that quest you have to start (Wolf Whistle), which will def. give you Summoning exp] "you can summon for ." ~WSW~
  9. f2p does not have to make anything with yews. that's another incentive for f2pers to join p2p to gain 99 fletch faster. Remember, most of the skills mentioned to be potentially dropped will have limitations on how far a f2per can go. ~WSW~
  10. BUMP wanted this topic to get more attention, more feedback. Please, no flaming. Thanks, ~WSW~
  11. To the Author of the OT: are you a pure, or are you just lazy? IDC whether or not you like quests, for any reason. I do have a problem with you complaining that you have to do quests in order to get/give more in a trade than 3k? If you're pure, and you're afraid to gain a magic/ranged/def/??? lvl, well, what's that pure good for now? How's Duel Arena doing for ya? 3k/15 mins worthwhile? How's BH? Are you owning, or gettin owned? Pures are pretty much worthless now, thanks to no PKing. Sure the above I mentioned have some worth to pures, but not very much. No, your title question is pretty much worthless. Obviously you've been playing RS under a rock, if you haven't seen any of the ongoing war against terrorism... I mean, RWTers. If you haven't been kept up, JaGEx just dismantled the RWTer operation in RS. Sure, at the cost of all the other legit players. But, could I trust you in being a legit player or a bot or a RWTer? OF COURSE NOT! You can't trust me, or anyone else in RS, to be legit. But, for the most part, most numerous lvl3s were bots, and higher lvls were RWTers collecting their dough. Now that the war has been quelled, we can expect to see the old trade system come to life in ETA of 6 to 8 months. Just a speculation, but we'll see it come back to the old system, when JaGEx feels ready to trust the whole, or about 99%, of players. ~WSW~
  12. well, it's either a potion or a beer. every skill has some kind of booster thru potion or beer, so yes this will have some sort. personally, i cant wait for summoning to come out. I'll prob join p2p if it's p2p only.
  13. Turn your public chat OFF then. I know it pisses me off when I see little kids playing and chatting immaturely. Not all of them, but 90-95% of them. Skilling will somewhat be of necessary importance in the market now. But isn't it ironic that the materials we create are not for PKing anymore? Fletching, RCing, Smithing - all pretty much to get to 99 in the skills or sell to PKers. Cooking, fishing, herblore, mining, farming, slayer - all end products pretty much went to PKers... Now we're all on the goal of gettin to 99 or our desired max lvl in our skills. That or sell to BHers, or Duelers, or Clan Wars (though you don't lose anything in Clan Wars). Oh, and I'm so glad that all the beggars will leave us med-to-high lvl players alone. I hope most of them stfu, so I don't have to turn my chat OFF and not see it floating in the game screen. ~WSW~
  14. Jaym- I totally agree with ya. You put it exactly in the right words. Those thoughts were still in my mind, and I don't think I did bring it up. Quoting you for your main points. ~WSW~
  15. blingkachi - thx for at least acknowledging the fact I was p2p. Thats where the niceties end. I won't pay if there's no old wildy and no ridiculous trade limitations (notice, I didn't say "no trade limitations at all"). I'm not whining at all. I don't think you read it through, you probably skimmed it. Read carefully, use a dicitionary if you're having trouble with the big words, k? darkluniux - yes, this is pure speculation! give yourself a pat on the back. I'm not a JMod, or a PMod, to clarify. (I could have been, had I not told ya - the air was not clear on that fact.) I can't make decisions that will affect all players; i.e. I'm not JaGEx. So, congrats on the obvious. captain. YES, people, this is all PURE SPECULATION! I don't think, however, that you read the part where I said that this was to counter-measure the thread on "Summoning F2P?" I mean, if that theory is possible, this theory that I clarified, is possible. ~WSW~
  16. I've updated the rationale on my OT. Construction - max 20 rooms , even if ur lvl 99 construction @ f2p. F2P - some rooms available to p2p are not creatable in f2p. Rooms that you've made in p2p, then if you go down to f2p, will not have their functionality. Rather a message of "You must be on a members' server to use this room." Will pop up, kinda like tryin to go to Taverly from Fally in f2p. Herblore - *Herbs (grimy) in f2p can be dropped by Men, Women, and other npc's on f2p that are able to drop these normally on p2p/GE. **Mortar & pestle, vials can be bought in Taverly, assuming Herby becomes f2p, you need Taverly to do Druidic Ritual. Atk Pot (3) - (lvl 3) - guam leaf + eye of newt (both attainable - eye of newt can be bought in Betty's Magic Shop in Port Sarim/GE) Antipoison Pot (3) - (lvl 5) - marrentill + ground unicorn horn (both attainable if unicorns drop horns in f2p/GE, you're able to buy mortar & pestle in Taverly/GE) Str Pot (3) - (lvl 12) - tarromin + limpwurt root (both attainable - NPC drops/GE) Stat Restore Pot (3) - (lvl 22) - harralander + red spiders' eggs (both attainable - eggs from Varrock Sewers/GE) Energy Pot (3) - (lvl 26) - harralander + chocolate dust (both attainable - Chocolate bars/dust on GE; Cooks' Guild) Def Pot (3) - (lvl 30) - ranarr weed + whiteberries (both attainable as long as JaGEx puts a bush or two in f2p areas) Agility - add Wildy Course. Or add a new f2p agility course. ~WSW~
  17. not a surprise. lobbies have always been that way for quite a while. it's like paying more for a [raw lobby + cooking exp + wc exp + fm exp] than to pay for an already cooked one. kinda like uncuts being worth more than cut gems.
  18. Oh , you're right. Sorry about that I'll fix that. 99 Prayer, not range, for 126 cmb.
  19. WRONG JaGeX did them so that they would make up for the past losses in wilderness/other stuff. Um, are you stupid or something? I did say "Theoretically". I didn't say "Ultimately". Ultimately, no that wasn't the case. Sure the GE, at first, people put in a lot of stuff to sell, no one was buying. Slowly, it changed. People buy more and sell more. Money is somewhat flowing, but more or less stagnant still. BH is controlled elitist pvp, to the point that in 10 people, those who have uber pures can still pwn in the wildy, without it being the old pking. Duel Arena - I can see people making other accounts to use, like a lvl 10 pure str account, who will stake duel only, wearing full iron, holdin a rune scimmy. There's still a little bit of hope as to whether pures are still worthwhile. Although, 3k per 15mins is still horrible. "Past losses in the wilderness/other stuff" - care to explain that, windbag?
  20. With the new updates, we can def. see a possibility of a p2p skill being brought down. So far, many of you have chosen: Thieving, Fletching, and Herblore as the serious potential candidates. Some of you also think no skill should be brought down. Reasons why? 1) "I'm p2p. I pay for it. You don't. Don't beg." - Somewhat valid reasoning. Already had bashed this one though (ads $ >>> p2pers $). 2) Update the skills f2p already has. I like this one. Crafting could be upped to create bracelets in f2p, or green dhide (seeing the release of green dragons in f2p possibly?). Or rune arrows dropping into f2p, since dragon arrows are now the new hot ranging ammo. This is a summary of all your replies. Remember, to each his own, and you're entitled to your own opinion. May I remind you that FLAMING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Also, no off-topic posts in here please? We're talking about the possibility, if Summoning doesn't become partially-f2p, there might be a possibility, a slight chance, that a p2p skill will be dropped down into f2p status. Thanks for the brainstorming, fellow players. Keep it up! ~WSW~
  21. heh i used to collect wiz mind bombs too.
  22. Don't judge a book by it's cover, until they open it. In this case, when a low-lvl player types in "phr33 st00f pl0x?" or the like. Those are the only ppl I call noobs. Never have I called someone lower cmblvled than me a noob, not for their low lvl, but for the way they carry themselves. I even go as far as calling 100s, 110s, and 120s noobs if they act like arses. It's only the right thing to do, besides ignoring them. ~WSW~
  23. Most items that seem crappy on f2p are useful on p2p. ASHES - used in Serum 207. BONES - ectofuntus in Port Phasmatys - 400% prayer boost. BURNT FISH - mostly used on quests, i guess.
