FFXIII coming to Xbox 360
Hopefully 360 owners get spared the extra long cutscenes PS3 users love You call Halo milking with 3 games, and you call those 5 games only "close" to milking it. There's one storyline in total. Three games continuing the story. oh, and "Each game is set in a different universe, with different characters, with different stories, different themes, with different game plays." Under ONE name. That's the definition of milking something. If each of those games could stand by itfself, Square would've titled them differently. But nope, fanboys buy them just because it has the words Final Fantasy in the beginning. The same way Nintendo [bleep] around the name Mario.

Beijing 2008
No, but not everyone reads the same news. I'll let you in on another secret, some people don't even bother with the news. Crazy stuff huh? If you really think the human rights abuse that happens in China is just my claim, then you need to start reading something

Yeah pretty much. I eventually stopped posting pictures because there's always a [developmentally delayed] posting 10 motivational posters. What makes me sadder is that people actually think they're hilarious.

Beijing 2008
So you worship Zeus then? Paying money in a bid to host the games is hardly abiding by the original Olympian spirit either. I prefer to think about this by reversing the roles and seeing what would happen if we were in China's shoes, and I come to this question - should people boycott London 2012 for our controversial actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, or for the way we support Israel's actions in Gaza? You can't boycott every country you have an issue with. There'd be none left to host the games. Yeah, I said I worship Zeus right there in my post. Are you kidding me? Uhh, if you've been following the news, the only thing that will happen to Beijing is nothing more than a mask. Those communist [bleep]s will just pretend until the spotlight goes away after the Olympics.

Beijing 2008
Worst [bleep]ing country. Can't believe it got the bid over Toronto or Paris. and for people saying the Olympics isnt for anything else other than sports.. wasn't it founded to honor the Olympian gods?

Turned away from university
If criminals were allowed to let go because they "grew up surrounded by crime", prison would be pretty empty

What happens when you expose a kid to sex / violence
No, link? [hide=] [/hide] You're comparing a gun with a condom :-\ Puberty doesn't have an exact day. It's not like the moment they turn 13, they start puberty. When I was 13 (grade 8 iirc, there were already developed girls couple years younger). Guess how old the youngest mother is? Did you guess 8? Wrong, it's 5. http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/medina.asp The thing is, what you're advising to do is to avoid the whole thing altogether. But guess what, outside the walls of the parents, at the mall, on the Internet, movies, television, you can't avoid exposing a child to sex and violence. It's human nature. Rather than making a child ignorant, why not educate instead? Education might not equal responsibility, but it has more chances of avoiding unnecessary mistakes than ignorance.

What happens when you expose a kid to sex / violence
Well, for people like me who had childhood and met other people who went through the same experience (having a childhood), then we can give some sort of view based on that.

What happens when you expose a kid to sex / violence
at a young age? What if schools start teaching sex-ed at throughout elementary and not just in the later grades? What if kids are exposed to watching sex and violence on screen? The effects of this is that the kid becomes a psychopath that goes around killing / raping people. Are you kidding me? I grew up watching movies like Lethal Weapon and similar movies with my dad. My friends at the time did too. We played with BB guns, shot each other on the PS1. When I got a hold of the Internet, the first thing I did after playing games is searching for sexy photos. But you know what? I think I'm normal. I don't think I have any psychological problem because I was exposed to this crap before the PG-13 mark. But do you disagree? Do you really think that mature content does something to a child?

global warming what we can do/fact or fiction
I think there is a climate change going on. But I don't believe the "global warming" propaganda that people are suckered into. The world will find more efficient energy resources not because of global warming, but because people can't afford the gas prices.

Do people really consider video games as "sports"?
I was watching a hilarious vid of some Korean gamer and then read the comments (here: http://digg.com/pc_games/Korean_Pro_Gam ... _Rockstars ) arguing that these people are athletes. I think it's a joke that people would consider these people as athletes. There's nothing athletic about clicking a mouse. Sure, it takes skills to do well in video games. But really, athletes?

Halo Discussion thread
I don't care about ranks. The only reason that I'm even a Lieutenant is because people kept on giving me [cabbage] because of my name. I played about 100 (spread across big team, MLG, doubles, and team) or so ranked games and over 400 socials IIRC. I only play ranked games because my IRL friends dont like playing social.

E3 2008 | Discussion
I don't have a PS3, but Little Big Planet looks promising. It might be overshadowed by Spore though so... I know they are two totally different games, but they both specialize in environment manipulation so they kinda relate. Spore just comes out in pretty much every console.
