  1. I do think this is a good idea, but if it were ever to be put into play in the game, players would just find other ways to discriminate against their fellow players. "Haha he's wearing iron!! Noob!!!" or the like. One of the biggest prejudices in the real world is color. If somehow we discovered a way to make all people white, we would find a new and more volatile way of discriminating against eachother. (Don't take that as racism. I am not racist. I hate racism. It's just an example.) But, as I said, I like the idea. I just felt like putting an argumentative point out there. I don't know why. It'd be best not to ask. :) Thanks. For those who said about high levels wanting to show off or low levels claiming to be a high level: There could be an on/off sort of button. If you want to show off your level you worked hard for, set it to on. And for those low levels claiming high levels, they would just have to try to prove it to you. If they don't show you their level, assume they're low-level. The default would be off, though.
  2. Getting pk'd bcuz of lag. Just happened and I am mad.
  3. Just a few questions: With the "Trade/compete" under "Public Chat" on,: Will you see the text from all the players you've traded with or just the current one? Also,... After you accept, reject, or close the trade window, will the conversation that happened during the trade still be there or will it disappear? Another,... Again after you accept, reject, or close the trade window, will you still be able to see the player "talking" or will it just stop where it is until you open another trade window? And another,... Some of the options under "Public Chat" allow you to see the text above players' heads and not on the chat screen, and some don't allow you to see any conversation at all, neither above their heads or in the chat screen. Which will this option be? Will we still see everyone's text above their heads or is all but your trade partner's gone? Other than those, I support. *I don't know if these questions were already asked and/or answered, but if so, they weren't addressed in the first post. So, I assume they weren't. If they were indeed addressed in some way, don't yell at me. They should be answered in the Q&A section of the main post. Thanks!*
  4. I don't know if this was already pointed out, but which one?
  5. the subject isn't always first the simple subject is rod and the complete is fly fishing rod. The "sentence" he/she is referring to is 'Used for fly fishing.' 'Used' is a verb. 'For fly fishing' is a prepositional phrase. There is no written or implied subject. (I mean implied as in the implication of 'you' in a command.) 'Rod' isn't even in the "sentence" that's being referred to.
  6. Kingdoms and Knighthood's at War: I like the idea of making RuneScape a bit more aligned with the middle ages. Maybe we can put a little history information into people's heads. I realize that RuneScape was most likely not intended to be historically accurate at all, but I actually have benefitted from the game. (In science last year, we were asked what two metals made bronze. I thought to myself, 'I know this: tin and copper!' I never knew that RuneScape could help me at all in school.) Fluxuating Prices: I like this idea, too. It could make the game a bit more challenging. Players would need to wait to sell items at a good price in the stores. It could also get them into trading with other players. I like the idea of having a more realistic RuneScape in some aspects. (I wouldn't want to have guards throw me in jail for killing a man though!) Roaming Animals/Monsters: Hmm... It could also be like a you-come-to-me type of thing. Lol. Forget that. I like it. That's all I need to say. Moving Mining Rocks and Trees: I'm not sure about this one. Maybe every time an ore is mined from the rock, the rock gets a little smaller. After a while, it will be completely gone or diminished. All the while, another rock is building up in a different location. You can mine the rock as it's building up, but it'll just diminish faster. (I don't know. I'm just throwing some things out there for ya.) Rockslides: I love the rockslides idea. Enough said.
  7. I support this idea. The other day, I was going through my bank, and the diorganization was killing me! And I'm only F2P, so there's not that much in there! I vote YES for this wonderful idea. I believe that jAGeX has most likely looked over this suggestion a few times. I hope they have or will take this into great consideration when thinking about a new update. I for one would like to see an update that is a bit small but will help both F2Pers and P2Pers immensely. One day I hope to come up with a great suggestion as this person has done. jAGeX would be foolish not to apply this suggestion to our great game we call RuneScape!
  8. waffle325? (Not to be confused with me-Waffle326)
  9. Thnx, I now have some more insight on the topic of ranging and will continuing my training of it.
  10. I've decided to close this topic the only way I know how. I've gotten enough information on it, so I don't need any further input. Thank you all for helping out. -Closed-
  11. I came across RuneScape from "baby"sitting my neighbors. It was a Sunday, i remember, because my first day of school that year was the next day. Well, when I went over to babysit, my neighbor (the oldest, who is about 2 years? younger than me) was playing a game. I got interested. So we set up an account for me, and I started playing. I remember walking around Lumbridge a little. Then, I walked to Draynor not knowing where I was. I was killed by a guard(?) by the dungeons in Draynor. World maps probably helped me the most. I'm very good with maps. It'd be nice if they had an IN-GAME map like their World Map on the site. I've seen a suggestion about that recently on these forums. Later in the game, someone scammed me, I believe. I don't remember exactly what I was scammed for, but I remember it was in Al Kharid. Most of us have gotten scammed early in the game. I made a friend on RuneScape. He was awesome. He's never on anymore, though. :( ... So, out of appreciation, I made the account I play on today: Waffle326. You'll probably call me pyscotic or something around that. His account was Waffle235. Look familiar? It's one number off mine! He was a good friend. Not only was he nice, but he gave me good armor: some addy, mitril, and steel. I looked like I got dressed in the dark from the mismatching, but I was pretty well protected. It upsets me though: One day, I decided to go in LEVEL ONE (emphasis one ONE) and try to kill someone. I started to fight someone earning myself a skull and crossbones. Apparently this person was range or mage because when I ran away because of low HP, they got one last hit. I died and lost a lot. I wasn't very smart that day because I never put most of the stuff from my inventory in my bank. I lost all that armor he gave me and a lot of other valuable things (well things that were valuable for ME). Today, I don't fight a lot. I train non-combat skills. Normally it's cooking and maybe a bit of fishing, but recently I've been working on runecrafting. Did you know it was easy to level up to 20 in runecrafting? Amazingly it is! lol. Well, that was my tidbit of information you didn't need or probably want to know, but I felt I should share my past (in RuneScape)!
  12. I agree. RC is boring, but I was thinking about RC then training magic or selling the runes for some dinero.
  13. There's one problem with fishing on Karamja for me. Where's the closest bank? On the main land, right? That means less profit for me for the 30gp trips. Unless I teleport to Lumbridge every other trip. And where's a good place to sell tuna and lobsters at? Lobsters are a little slow-getting since I have LVL44 fishing and lobsters are LVL40. It still takes a bit of time for tuna, and they're almost 10 below. Another thing: should I cook and sell or just sell raw? I have been fishing salmon (and trout since they come along with luring in rivers), but they don't sell for much. I was running short trips between the Lumbridge river fishing spots and the Lumbridge General Store. And what do you mean by sell one, get the gold, and go to bank with gold?
  14. I know my skills aren't awesome or even 'good,' but I want to get them there. I want to know your opinion on what skill I should train. I am F2P. I mostly just want to train my skills, but I also want some money. I have about 20K. Don't take that as me begging. I don't beg. I am asking for suggestions of what I should train. NOT begging. What will help me in the long-run? What is going to earn me the most money in the end? What is going to be to my advantage for many things in the game? Thanks.
  15. Hmm... :-k Great ideas  . I'll add them sometime soon.
  16. Ok, I wasn't very clear and sorry for that. UPDATE: (OK, edit for this. I didn't make it clear. What I mean by "Cooks'-Guild-members-only" is people who can get into the Cooks' Guild, not P2P-only. Sorry for the lack of clarity. I'm F2P, so making it P2P only wouldn't help me at all.)
  17. This is my first suggestion. I believe the Cooks' Guild should have a bit more to it. Like any other guild, players work hard to gain access to it, so why should we still have to travel half-way around the world to make one simple little apple pie or maybe a meat pizza? The picture: There is not much change to the picture, but it's only a basic visual aid. Wheat Field: As you can tell, there is an exclusive wheat field north of the guild that's only available to those who meet the guild level requirement (is this more clear?). To enter the wheat field, you have to enter the Cook's Guild first. At the back of the guild on the ground floor is another door leading out into the field. Chickens: Through the gate in the wheat field, there is a small fenced-in yard of chickens. You can kill the chickens for their meat, feathers, or bones and collect their eggs. (Marked in purple.) Cows: Through the other gate in the chicken "yard," there is some cows. I was going to put just a dairy cow, but I didn't want the poor thing to be alone, so there is some cows for you to slaughter! (Marked in orange.) Food Shop: (added on January 27, 2007 8:30 PM EST) This food shop will be on the first level (or second level if you wish to call it that). It will be for both F2P and P2P. You can buy things like tomato, cheese, potatoes, onions, ANYTHING. I propose that you can buy any food item you wish there. If it is a rare type of food item, it will cost more, so players don't depend on the Cook's Guild every time they want to cook anything. (Come and complain about this proposal if you wish.) That's pretty much it until I get more things to add to it. Suggestions for my suggestion are welcome! (I WILL credit you.) EDIT: I don't know if some of you realize this, but there already is a Cooks' Guild. I am suggesting add-ons for the guild. So if you don't know where the Cooks' Guild is, take a map and look inbetween Varrock and the Barbarian Village. Voila! You have found the Cooks' Guild! ALSO, you can all stop saying that there shouldn't be P2P areas in the guild, because I wasn't proposing it. If you had read my edit (I had taken out and replaced with clearer wording), you would have realized I didn't mean P2P. I meant players who had the requirements to get into the guild. ANOTHER ALSO... What is the current level requirement for the guild? If anyone knows, please speak up.
  18. Ok, I don't really have to worry about space problems so much anymore. I was carrying aroung all of my armor (on me) and five items including a steel platebody. I was killed and was left with no armor or anything in my inventory. I'm sure, no positive, nothing was lost from my bank, but I haven't checked yet. All of my armor that I lost were my most expensive items I had. So know that I'm left with just what is in my bank, I have resolved that I will not touch my bank until I get a lot of money. I won't buy items with money I make, only with money I find. I will try to only get things from drops and respawns. I am planning to find some money and buy a cheap pickaxe and a tiara mold. Since I have a high enough level to do so, I am going to make tiaras until I can make better profit items. Once I get about 10k gp, I will let myself buy some better items to use for profit making. Then at 100k, I will buy armor. My armor before was mostly mithril and some steel, but I will buy adamant this time. I may not have been hacked, but I believe this is a good time to start over and carry out my idea of going throughout Runescape without buying all of my items (only stuff I have searched for but can't find) or begging (which I have never done before, :D yay me!)
  19. My space problems aren't because of stats. If you read one of my posts above, I have a pack-rat problem with myself, tyvm.
  20. Considering I only have around 5k, 10-20k is probably alot for me. It's sad for me because I hear (well, read) people saying about having millions of gp and I have less than 5k. I guess I really focus more on leveling than the money. Although money is more appealing to the eye right now. I pity myself, but you don't have to. LOL
  21. Another problem I possess is that I only have half my inventory (14 spots) of space because my bank is full. Getting rid of things to make space is an unlikely option because I inherited the trait of "pack-rat" from my gram. I always think, "I might need this later and I'm not gunna try to get it again!" or something. I am surprised I have 14 spaces empty, about a week ago I only had 1 or 2. I got up the courage to get rid of some useless or cheap things. Off-topic: Kill_Life, I liked your story about how you got through Runescape with the scammer and the hacker, and yet they helped you, too. Don't we all just love those kinds of people?! LOL
  22. Yes, but to many people are at it. If I am the only person around coal and it respawns, everyone else rushes around it and starts swinging. Most of those people have better axes than me and mine it before I do. Mining is a bad idea. Too many people do it. lol
  23. What should I sell to get the maximum amount of money? I have less than 5k gp total. I am a F2P player and have these stats: Something that is easy, fast, and fun (or entertaining) and gives a lot of money.
  24. Honestly, do you not read before you post? Here is a post that's from a post by me, so this is all mine:
