waffle326
This is my first suggestion. I believe the Cooks' Guild should have a bit more to it. Like any other guild, players work hard to gain access to it, so why should we still have to travel half-way around the world to make one simple little apple pie or maybe a meat pizza? The picture: There is not much change to the picture, but it's only a basic visual aid. Wheat Field: As you can tell, there is an exclusive wheat field north of the guild that's only available to those who meet the guild level requirement (is this more clear?). To enter the wheat field, you have to enter the Cook's Guild first. At the back of the guild on the ground floor is another door leading out into the field. Chickens: Through the gate in the wheat field, there is a small fenced-in yard of chickens. You can kill the chickens for their meat, feathers, or bones and collect their eggs. (Marked in purple.) Cows: Through the other gate in the chicken "yard," there is some cows. I was going to put just a dairy cow, but I didn't want the poor thing to be alone, so there is some cows for you to slaughter! (Marked in orange.) Food Shop: (added on January 27, 2007 8:30 PM EST) This food shop will be on the first level (or second level if you wish to call it that). It will be for both F2P and P2P. You can buy things like tomato, cheese, potatoes, onions, ANYTHING. I propose that you can buy any food item you wish there. If it is a rare type of food item, it will cost more, so players don't depend on the Cook's Guild every time they want to cook anything. (Come and complain about this proposal if you wish.) That's pretty much it until I get more things to add to it. Suggestions for my suggestion are welcome! (I WILL credit you.) EDIT: I don't know if some of you realize this, but there already is a Cooks' Guild. I am suggesting add-ons for the guild. So if you don't know where the Cooks' Guild is, take a map and look inbetween Varrock and the Barbarian Village. Voila! You have found the Cooks' Guild! ALSO, you can all stop saying that there shouldn't be P2P areas in the guild, because I wasn't proposing it. If you had read my edit (I had taken out and replaced with clearer wording), you would have realized I didn't mean P2P. I meant players who had the requirements to get into the guild. ANOTHER ALSO... What is the current level requirement for the guild? If anyone knows, please speak up. "mmm... i like waffles"... i get that alot. so i say..."I do, too!!!" Danlee
I like you idea bout the feild and the pens for cows and chickens but i dont see how that makes you not have to walk around the world to get to it :-k besides if you have 25 mage all you have to is tele port den walk a lil... whats wrong with that?? The sentence below is false. The sentence above is true.
D. V. Devnull
P2P-Only rooms on the cooks guild?!?!? Are you nuts?!?!? Jagex intended that the cooks guild be basically all F2P, except for like dairy things like butter and cheese. I see no real point in creating zones and blocking them from F2P. :shame: Good ideas, but those new sections should be F2P-available! [Edit] ~Mr. D. V. curly55555
I agree with Mr Devnull. The cooks guild is one of the only decent f2p guilds, but when you go in,as well as the dairy churn, there is already a pie stall in there that f2p can't use. I've never been a member either, but if ts Stormrage is right, there should be a brewing part, but only tucked away in a corner, not where it is advertised there, like "hey look at me!" http://custom.leetscape.com/sig/63/70/combat.png[/img]You just won the award for "The Most niave person on the Tip.it Boards!"]*Points towards the monkey sitting on the button and declining every query*Help me No.

waffle326
Ok, I wasn't very clear and sorry for that. UPDATE: (OK, edit for this. I didn't make it clear. What I mean by "Cooks'-Guild-members-only" is people who can get into the Cooks' Guild, not P2P-only. Sorry for the lack of clarity. I'm F2P, so making it P2P only wouldn't help me at all.) Zragd
good idea. berry respawns, some fishing spots and a store of cooking suplies (choclate, cooking apples, etc etc etc) and of course it would need a range, a sink, (for getting water) and a mill. and respawns of the variuos cheaper cooking suplies. EDIT: it would also need cabbage, potato and onion patches, plus a few pigs just in case we ever have a use for them. Join the campaign for more F2P Bank space!Did you really "laugh out loud" at that joke, or did you "chuckle quietly"? say cq next time, not lol. starsteller
What about adding either a cheese and tomato respawn or a food shop, otherwise, pizzas aren't really worth it for F2P. And another pie tin respawn would be great. It shouldn't take someone 30 minutes to cook 10 apple pies..just because there wasn't any pie tins available! (note:TRUE!) Same goes for chocolate bars. Takes quite a while to cover 15 cakes in chocolate otherwise. And about the fishing spot....nah..not really needed, cosidering that there's an fishing spot on the banks of the River Lum. Cabbage, potato, and onions....why not just add a food shop? How about instead of spawn locations, how about just a big food store, with the store stocking all the drop stuff, tomato, cheese and other cooking supplies. Agreed. Thank the world for spell checkers.
skeroh
its a good idea, and i'll support it, but the chikens and cows are a bit random, and i still have no clue where it is... Gyroman26
yeah i think there should be some more food spawns like cheese tomatoe and other stuff. or they could put in a food shop like some other people said.

da_guru_123
This suggestion get's my stamp of approval: [stamp of approval has run out of ink, sorry for the disappointment.] If I could choose one suggestion to be made, it would be this. Simple, yet much needed. Jagex will not have to do much, only add a field, a few cows and chickens and a new shop to the guild. However, at the moment it only looks like you can access the chickens and cows by going through the field. Possibly have a door from the guild into them as well? Moving to new account, subtle_rune. Please PM me there. Now you know that you can trust him!
ddaanniiellh
I like this idea, but with these improvements, the level needed to get in there should increase too, cause with all these items in there, you can stay in and get your cooking up a lot more easily. I would say maybe lvl 40-50 requirement or even higher. ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! aznmidget448
Nice idea, but wouldn't putting all the cake ingredients so close make it too popular and too much exp too easily? 99 cooking wouldn't be a challenge. People would just go to the cooking guild to bake lots of cakes :| But otherwise, I like your idea of the wheat field. It would save a lot of time running to and from the bank picking wheat and then running to and from the bank to pick up the wheat...
Dalcyte
a long needed upate i think for the cook's guild. Along with this, i say we bump the requirement since its now such an easy skill. D. V. Devnull
Okay, I picked the best 2 recent quotes to reply to here, so here I go... I like this idea, but with these improvements, the level needed to get in there should increase too, cause with all these items in there, you can stay in and get your cooking up a lot more easily. I would say maybe lvl 40-50 requirement or even higher. ~Ddaanniiellh I would agree with this. Cooking exp levels have jumped a little bit, and with the "Cook X" and "Cook all" options at hand, Cooking has become one hugely popular skill. Although, I have noticed the ranges there are just like all the other normal ones in-game. Until the ranges in the cooks guild in specific are improved, I'd say level 38 maximum for an "entry requirement", but after, more like 49. People have been complaining about fish becoming too much tied with the cooking skill. I can't help but agree with them at the spot where they'd come into this mess. They could at least use the ability to train on "Non-Fish" items more easily. Plus it would create new in-game market sections. Finally, "Training Food" at a good price. And it might knock down the price of the "Long-Range Fighting Foods" after a while... :) Okay, 'nuff said from me for now... let's hear some other people... ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... NJE03
Basically I like the idea (except for member only part ) I would like to be able to cook thing like pizza, cake, etc. without a hassle of go all over the place to gather the ingredient. I remember when I first got required lvl to get in I was pretty excited. I did like it and actually made quite a few pies and stuff but it could be alot better with these addition. Definately would need to bump up requirement for at least some parts of it. (I think lvl 60 would be good.)
