  1. i've done it before with this trial version...i dunno if it held true to what Matt said or not... all i know is it took off the one voice...but it had a back up singer and it recognized it as an instrument.. it was also an R & B song...so same thing might happen to you :-k
  2. Mars did actually support life, in its earliest stages though, they have brought back rocks with fossils of crustaceons in and there are clear signs of previous running water (valleys and erosion patterns only caused by water) also there are signs of two previous ice caps. Anyway if there are any other life sources, why havent they "officially" visited us? And d'ya think they play runescape? : no they havn't found fossils there...they said that's the best bet for finding life on mars. as of right now...it was NEVER habitable and NEVER supported life. they found a meteorite that contained organic material, but don't know where it originated from...because it's well..on a meteorite. you're referring to the 1996 find right?
  3. drunk in public... j/k...but it almost did happen. i was helping my terribly wasted friend home who proceeded to puke in the trash cans outside of Dietrick Hall at Virginia Tech..a place where policeman venture quite a bit. (this building http://spec.lib.vt.edu/imagebase/04VT/V ... 1_0008.jpg) anyway...he was puking in the trashcans...and police were walking like 50 feet from us so i was like "Evan get your head up now dude". he doesn't remember, but i had to literally lift half his body up, lean against the trash can, and pretend like we were just you know...holding our arms around each other's backs like pals. they walked by with just a glance... was definitely a close call...especially as i would have been charged with the same thing he was because i was accompanying him. other than that...nothing. i did ride in the back of a cop car home once because i got into a fight and a crazy lady called the police..
  4. this is not spam...this is serious discussion. you KNOW you liked em as a kid and still do...so don't lie by power rangers i mean the original ones before the movie i really don't know which ones i love more...i'm really stuck in the middle though one thing can be said...if i had all the money back that i spent on the merchandise from either series...i could afford a semester at school lol so what about you? i'm undecided...but maybe if i see opinions i can make a better judgment call
  5. wouldn't everything be classified as "simple" if you break down each individual piece and it's purpose? the complexity is the when it works together Of course, I'm just saying on the fundamental level, there's nothing wierd or impossible about it ocurring naturally when the compounds that make you up act in the way they do due to thier natural electrical interactions. doesn't it take proteins to make DNA and DNA to make proteins? (i havn't studied any higher lvl biology than high school...so i am no where near "qualified" to argue)...just asking a question :)

  7. i really wish i could give you advice. tbh, every1 feels that way at some point or another...but i guess some care more than others anyway...hmmm...i really wanna think of someway to put it i have an econ test to study for...lemme get back to you put it this way though...i go into my classes in pajama pants and sweatshirts with 2 different colored shoes
  8. um...it's not habitable yet. for one it doesn't necessarily have water. 2..it's not necessarily protected by a larger object that will stop asteroids from colliding into it like our asteroid belt and Jupiter. 3...it might not revolve like the earth... sooo many more factors that affect "habitable" other than atmosphere and climate...
  9. i realize that...but to me evidence points towards a God, and things in the Bible just shout out to me (if you'd like i guess i'll go over those things) Darwin once said "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. But I can find no such case." and just look at the cell: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jjexZ88wIno If you're referring to irreducible complexity, there is still no proven example of that. i wasn't necessarily referring to that. that's referring to mutations and such over time being a positive benefit. or something along those lines i was referring more to the complexity of the cell...in that it is so complex, and then further on they assist one another to make an organ. if a cell isn't complex..i don't know what is
  10. that's why i said things in the Bible... things like...Jesus' genealogy. in order to come up with a genealogy that matches his from fiction would take a hell of a lot of work..and if you can match it in your life time...by all means do so...and write it in Greek...which has stricter rules than english characteristics of it: number of words on your paper must be divisible by 7 no remainders -number of letters also to be divisible by 7 no remainders -number of vowels and consonants must ALSO be divisible by 7 no remainders -number of words that begin with a vowel must be divisible by 7 -number of words that begin with a consonant must be divisible by 7 -the number of words that occur more than once must be divisible by 7 -the number of words that occur in more than one form must be divisible by 7 -the number of words that only occur in one form must be divisible by 7 -the number of nouns must be divisible by 7 -only 7 words shall not be nouns -the number of names shall b divisible by 7 -only 7 other kinds of nouns are allowed -number of male names must be divisible by 7 -number of generations shall be divisible by 7 among other things...but this is just a small example among many many others
  11. Name Of Movie: Misery Catagory: Horror Why: absolutely terrifying. it has no super natural in it, making it that much more believable. it required no gore (except a few scenes..), and the use of connotation was outstanding. after seeing it i kept picturing Kathy Bates standing above my footbed with a sledgehammer for a while :ohnoes:

  13. me too lol. i really wanna change it though, as i was getting 15 hours of sleep in a 5 day period on average for 2-3 weeks. i kept passing out during class :( i havn't studied once this year at Tech, and will be leaving my freshmen year with a 3.1 GPA (out of 4). i started the first semester with a 2.65 because of a poor Calculus instructor who graded ridiculously hard (like 10 points off on a test for minimal errors...when 1-2 points (or none at all like my roommate's professor did when he made the same minimal error) would have been sufficient). my second semester i pulled it up to a 3.43...so it avged to a 3.1. i think if i actually studied/did work i would be in the 3.75-4.0 range...i just can't do it. it's so pointless...i hate studying for a test when you don't even retain the material a week- few weeks later. team design projects are a much better way to grade students (well in their later years)...you learn much more by doing...and keep it in your head. gaaah...stupid exams. i gotta study for my micro economics final right now for tomorrow...but i keep pushing it off #-o
  14. meh...the Resurrection is the point of Christianity...without that then we wouldn't even have a faith...we'd be Jews waiting for the one to defeat sin.
  15. i wonder if we could get there how hard it would be to excavate it considering it's 1.5x our gravity 150% our gravity doesn't seem like much, but for a planet to be nearly the same size as ours and have that much more gravity must mean it's dense as hell. i mean Jupiter is only 254% our gravity, but that's understandable because of its size vs its mass. 150% and being the same size
  16. As long as it's not some random verse taken out of context (whch I have become very good at dispelling :P) then shoot, bring it on. like evilbible.com does? :shame:
  17. evidence? or a law of science? and if so, do you have examples if not, what does it matter at this point?
  18. what? have you never heard of that proposal before and it seems quite interesting? or does it just seem too fantasy personally i really don't know lol...especially considering it requires substantial amounts of a specific type of energy.. however, at the exponential rate that technology has been increasing..who knows anymore hence the:
  19. you never know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bussard_ramjet
  20. this is very interesting, however, there are more things than just climate and atmospheric conditions that make a planet "habitable". for instance, if it has plates like the earth, then the crust needs to be a certain thickness. if it's too thin, then there would be too much volcanic activity, and then if it's too think then too much oxygen would be trapped inside. though the only other planet thought to have had plates thus far other than Earth has been Mars :-k (with Venus and Jupiter under speculation) nonetheless, this is an amazing discovery...and if technology continues to increase at the exponential rate that it has been...then i don't think we're very far off from reaching distances such as these. we can currently reach .003C...and scientists in the article believe they can reach .1C...and that's pretty incredible in itself
  21. i agree. one Asian Physics professor here at Tech can do trigonometry in his head...it's actually fun to do when you see him: "Professor Chang...what's the cosine of pi over 17?" 10 seconds later: ".98297" he's insane lol he said he had to study tables of trigonometric outputs for a long time to do this...and it was required at the university he went to
  22. i'm debating dressing up for it haha i mean...according to every1 on Mayhem Maker Forums and The Last Pure forums and Higherforce Forums and people IRL...i look like Orlando bloom hmmm... looks greats though
  23. yeah that's what i was going to say
