dude w/e...there is not a single soul who is happy about this. they can't please everyone, true...but they just proved they can make their whole player-base be displeased. -

bye bye pking...the only reason i even played this game. -
the only person "buying back in" would be the day that R2pleasant thought he knew how to stake and tried using his "merchanted" gold to stake with and lost a lot. they don't buy back in...i was a staker...i get cleaned one day, i make 100M the next. i ended up with 1.5B when the arena was killed...woulda been there more had i known they'd do what they did.

guys i thought on like page 7 or 8 insane clarified it enough that TO HIM it's a waste of time and money...but that doesn't mean he's saying it's a waste to anyone else take for example...people who like to work on their cars and add tremendous systems to them...and put new rims on them ad such to me...that's a complete waste of time and money because i don't see the purpose. a car is just supposed to take me from A to B and that's it.. but other people see it as a hobby and a past time.. it's the same case...insane is just saying TO HIM it's a waste of time and money it took like 3 clarifications from him...but i understood like 3 pages back lol

well mine is my fraternity's motto...so :uhh:

i now see where insane was coming from... tbh insane, it did sound like you were applying it to everyone...but now i see that wasn't your intention i can agree with that. a waste of time or money might not be to another person...which is true for everything that's a much better explanation.. ps: why arn't you a mod anymore? i know you havn't been one for a while...but i have been wondering about it for a while

i hate when people say things are a waste of time and money...but they really are not so let's say you have a child who plays soccer for a scholarship. they get really good, really competitive, and join different leagues. most time is spent devoted to getting better, practice, and road trips. if you don't get the scholarship...you might play every once and a while, but for the most part you are done with soccer because you have school + a job to do. in the end...they didn't get the scholarship...yet they enjoyed every minute that they played. is all of that a waste of time? surely it isn't...they enjoyed it. they got the benefit of enjoying it.. vacations...are they a waste of time as well? do they waste money? no...you're spending the money you earned for your income to ENJOY yourself...that's the purpose of any excess money...to be spent to enjoy yourself beyond necessary vital things to live. why is alcohol any different? i'm not condoning underage drinking (maybe hypocritical..but i enjoy it :\...for the taste as well), but why should the consumption of alcohol be considered a waste? video games IMO are beneficial too. they benefit you now because you're entertained. they have made my typing speed rise exponentially and were used as a gateway to a possible career...cause i am A+ and Net+ certified and will always have that as a backup career if all else fails. if you're not english and you play an english based game, it helps you learn the language. many dutch people on RS didn't know a lick of english and now they get top marks in their class simply because of RS...was it not beneficial? don't be so cynical...it only becomes a waste when it is an addiction...because all addictions are harmful.

um...there's a difference between a self desire and giving into the desire of others my friend. No there isn't, unless you're telling you drink on your own, like you for example play a video game on your own. Judging from your earlier example you don't drink on your own and in actual fact, yes you are vulnerable to peer pressure  or not? i drink cause i want to. peer pressure is drinking for the sole reason your friends are pressuring you to or you feel left out. and there are times when my friends drink and i don't drink at all...so you're wrong my friend...just another person who is speaking without experience also there were times when i had beers in my fridge in my dorm and after a long day i watched TV with 1 beer the whole night.

resident evil is my all time favorite game series ever...i bought a game cube just for that game alone. i was kind of mad when they started releasing them for the other systems anyway though lol...when it was clear for a while they wern't going to... i'll see it just because i love resident evil...i think my favorite was RE2...the first one i played over my uncles house i got to the 2nd suit key and then had to go home lol...i was addicted to i bought it myself my mom was appalled when she saw the game and said i can't play it with other kids over  anyway...greatest game series of all time...so i will definitely be seeing it

agreed warrior. i usually drink to socialize...with a few exceptions the exceptions were my first time when i didn't know my limits AND it was graduation. the other times were after a long test week (like 3-4 tests in 1 week) and i just needed to relieve some stress. and the final time was the end of freshmen year. every other time i just drank to socialize...and 8 times out of 10 i was taking everyone home lol.

i am 18 and just finished my first semester of college in the United States...so obviously it is illegal for me to drink. the first time i drank was 17. i did not know my limits and just kept drinking and drinking and drinking. it was at my friend's 18th birthday party and his parents agreed that everyone could drink, but we all had to give our keys to them. again, i didn't know my limits. i had 13 shots of Whiskey, 4 beers, and 6 shooters. it was the only time i have blacked out and had memory loss. i very well could have died, my BAC was definitely close to or above .3. i woke up the next morning with the biggest hangover of my life, it lasted me 2 and a half days...yet i didn't throw up once. that event allowed me to see my limits, and from then on i never drank that much because i knew what i could, and could not handle. now with freshmen year at hand, that's a year where a lot go through what i went through above...realizing their limits. some, however, do not listen to their limits and go above anyway....my roommate being one of them. he was ok, and we never had to call the ambulance or anything, but he did Edward Forty Hands one night with 3 of his buddies and they were all caught with it...which is self explanatory when an RA knocks on your door and you have 2 40's taped to your hands. that was the last time he was caught...and i was never caught. even when i am wasted out of my mind, people can tell i've been drinking, but can never tell i am drunk. my speech is clear, my walking is perfectly straight, and my logic is pretty well kept. the only thing that would be an indication is a slight increase in profanity and my exponential increase to being "open"... even when i am so drunk...like i said, i still know my limits and know what not to do. i will agree that my judgment is severely impaired...but i know my limits and stop when i know it's been too much. i never get into the car with other people that were drinking.i refuse to. that's the good thing about Tech...very good bus system...so barely any1 ever drives. anyway, i had drank nearly every weekend my first semester at school...it was amazing and i loved the feeling it gave. the next semester i drank a little less often, but consumed MORE each weekend because my tolerance was through the roof. i probably could drink what i drank the first time and not be in the same state. the last i drank was to celebrate Cinco De Mayo...where i did Power Hour (1 shot of beer every minute for 1 hour), followed by 4 beer bongs of Guinness in a row. i was definitely legally drunk, and definitely tipsy, but barely drunk in my eyes. this night was an eye opener to something i always knew, just didn't feel it could happen to me. i was no longer satisfied with the alcohol. it was true...nothing in this world satisfied me like God does...and i always knew this...but being in the flesh so many times..it just took this to really make me see it. the next morning i wasn't even hungover...even with all of that alcohol...i wasn't even drunk in my eyes. i thought to myself "this is dangerous...and could lead me down a path i never want to go down." it made me see that if the alcohol wasn't satisfying me and i kept looking for other things to satisfy it...i could ruin my life with something worse..things like illegal drugs. i still havn't fully decided if i am going to stop drinking until i am 21...i really hope i do and i am going to put forth the effort to do so...but no matter what i do i will be cutting down SEVERELY on it to make my tolerance go down...because at the moment it is at very dangerous levels and could lead to drugs...or worse...death

yeah but they typically do their minimum requirement and then that's that...and i need more people as "Chairs" (organizers)...the VP is like the Management and makes sure everyone is doing everything and takes on any "Chair" Positions that he/she wishes. the last VP gave out like candy to everyone who did service that week and then awarded someone for "worker of the week" each week. i'm trying to think of stuff like that to make people wanna do even more service than they already do... so basically i need more chair positions...cause right now we only have like 5 projects (do them several times over the course of the semester)...but with more chairs to organize we can have more. i also want to think of more incentive ideas like the ones mentioned to get the brothers of the fraternity to go above the requirement of 45 hours per semester :)

hello everyone, before i begin...lemme explain the background: this past spring semester i pledged to the Fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. This fraternity is not like normal Greek Life. it is a Co-ed Fraternity and prides itself in doing community service for the college, the community, and the nation. anyway, during this past spring semester we held elections for the new Executive Board. The person who won Vice President of Service realized that she cannot fulfill her duties next semester with so many credit hours (28) as VP of service requires the most time and energy of any other position. so now there are elections at the beginning of next semester and i wasn't originally going to run because i just pledged, but someone on the current Exec Board encouraged me to run...so now i am. now running for this position as a Sophomore, i am at a disadvantage to the two seniors that are running, but even if i lose it won't matter to me much...as i am going to help this position as much as possible. SO now that's the background. now for my question. what would encourage you guys to come to the community service projects or hold a chair position for them? the chair is the coordinator of the projects and contacts whoever they need to to set it up. so yeah...what would encourage you to be a chair and come to service projects if you belonged to this fraternity? any ideas would be great...and i could use any you have :D

Get married and have a wonderful family :D

like i said before...i am no where near an expert in biology...i havn't taken a biology course in 4 years and it was limited to high school concepts. speaking from that point..to me the cell seems complex...and if that's not complex i still dunno what is. so what did Darwin consider complex in the quote? :? anyway, when looking at the "where humans sprung up from" and looking at the split off of gorillas and chimps and then starting the genus "homo"...i dunno a common phrase is that human dna and chimpanzee dna is 98% identical.. that doesn't spring off the page to me because of the complexity and large scale of DNA.. take the speed of light...98% of the speed of light is still 6,000,000 m/s slower...so in 1 second the speed of light is already 6,500,000 football fields ahead of the 98%..

Darwin isn't an expert on contemporary biology, he didn't even know what DNA was. Why do people keep bringing this up like if it's meant to refute anything. All it shows is that Darwin didn't have very good foresight. exactly...he WASN'T an expert on contemporary biology...that's kinda the point. he even stated in his quote

ahhh...i forgot i need to be specific here again :(... yeah i know that a wormhole is basically like a "short cut"... i didn't read your original post close enough i guess :-w

Theres no such thing as a wormhole...is a theory. The theory is that a wormhole lys in the middle of a blackhole. Depisoting everything the blackhole sucks in some where else. Now we know theres black holes out there as we x-rayed a bank spot in the univese and saw this big thing sucking stuff in, just theres no way to tell if theres a wormhole in it. The theory seems right because if there was nothing there then the black hole would suck in everything and compact into a a little ball thats denser then anything we know of...let me put it into somthing you might under stand, if there was nothing taking away the junk the blackhole sucked up then the WHOLE earth would be compated into a little 1x1 inch square...think about that the WHOLE earth in a little 1 by 1 inch square. So there must be somthing in the middle thats linked some where else depositing it at the other end of the universe, thus support that the univere is never ending. i know they're theoretical...but i didn't know that the black hole itself is the thing that would allow the super speed travel...that's why i thought it was wormholes, as that's the theory behind traveling in the first place :-k
