  1. i am currently living in Blacksburg VA for school...so i dont have many things unless natural things count:
  2. i'm 18 and he is my idol i <3 him lol...tells it like it is with sarcastic wit...true genious and about Dane Cook...i think he's more of a bandwagon comic (in my opinion). i like some of his stuff...he's just far to overated (yet again...IMO). it just seems (to me) that most people like him...b/c others do.
  3. lol...i love that episode "i prepared this whole meal as i bathed" even without Kramer it was funny...it was a joint effort...the show wouldn't have been the same without any of them
  4. anything from New Orleans that is classified as "food" :)
  5. i did not see exactly what he said...and i have not read any previous comments (just wanted to let people know) i am in utter shock to be honest. i could not believe it when i turned on CNN to see this being the top story Seinfeld is my second favorite show (next to southpark) i was...wow...shock is the only thing i can use to describe my feelings as the Reverend described...this is not an average joe at the club...this is KRAMER
  6. compeltely agree...it's the culture the main issue here with me is...of course i can get it easily as a college student (i'm 18). but i don't like breaking the law even though i am responsible with it. when i ent out drinking at 18 i would always take the bus to and from to where i was going, and barely ever got so trashed that i couldn't understand what i was doing...that happened maybe once or twice. i like drinking casually. another bad thing is my parents found out that i consumed...and now my dad threatened that i don't have a place to stay during holiday if i continue
  7. Although the legal purchase age is 21, a lot of younger people under this age drink alcohol, and too many abuse it. "forbidden fruit," if you will. two times the united states has tried to ban alcohol, both times resulted in more damaging results (thuse why the amendment was appealed) On the other hand, while fewer young people are drinking and their average consumption levels have been falling, more younger people tend to drink abusively when they do drink. This change occurred after the increase in the drinking age. lowering the age won't solve the problem, but lowering the drinking age would help send the important message that drinking is not evidence of maturity, but that responsible consumption for those who choose to drink is evidence of maturity. moderation > restriction now i gotta go to bed :(
  8. depends on the state i think...but in general we say "16"
  9. what do you think about the United States drnking age of 21? personally i feel it does more harm than good and should be moved back down to 18 any1 else's opinion? (more detailed than mine please...i wanted to make this topic but it's late and i cannot express my true opinion hehe)
  10. that's just plain stupid, and not a piercing as in jewelry lol...that's stabbing yourself :shame: i don't have weird piercings. I am male though and both my ears are pierced
  11. arguing with your parents is disrespect..whether you think so or not it's hard for me not to...but i hold my tongue and then talk to them about the argument later. (i am prideful) no matter how you feel, arguing with them is ALWAYS disrespect...
  12. heh...i like them as well funny thing is...the starter of Deep Purple said he wouldn't want to follow King's X at a show
  13. It's a test where you need to run the length of the gym. You do it each time this speaker "beeps". There are different levels, and each level gets faster (ie. less time between beeps). Yea, I always got 100% on the fitness tests for everything except for flexibility. I always failed bitterly on flexibility. So it's like a sprinting endurance test? How much time you get to run at lvl 6 and 14? How long do you have to run total back and forth for one lvl? I hate the test, I'm the worst at push-ups. But others I'm decent at. lawrence perhaps it is called the shuttle run where you live?
  14. i thought about camping one night to sell it on ebay...but i had an exam today at 7pm lol
  15. That would be too conservative. And as all conservative beliefs are holding society back, it shouldn't happen. so you don't think that children who need to be disciplined should not be spanked? ever? It was meant to be sarcastic :P lol i thought so...seeing as you are a conservative  but unless it's extremely obvious, sarcasm over the internet is hard to see sometimes

  17. totally agree. my dad got pissed at me for the ways i would talk to my mother at times...and it is not even a comparison to the kids of today. i think one time i said "mom can you get something for me?". my dad flipped out b/c i guess i didn't ask very politely...i wasn't demanding or anything like that kid, just didn't have the right attitude i guess. he bolted upstairs and said "she's not your slave pal, learn some respect"
  18. i was on youtube the other day when a friend of mine linked me to a video. It has a child screaming and cursing at his mother to bring him chocolate milk. it was recorded by someone else in the same game on the same channel. i'm not sure if i am allowed to post it...so go to youtube and search "chocolate milk" and it should be the first link. i cannot believe the amount of respect the kids of today show their parents, it's just pathetic. senior year of high school i was over this kid's house (i don't like him...just his g/f is my best friend) and his mom yelled at him for something and said he was grounded. he said "HA, f-you" and walked out the door. i was...baffled. what has the world's children come to? to curse at their parents like this? it's insane thoughts
  19. Dream Theater are not WELLKNOWN...but i feel they get a lot of recognition. by underated i mean by how much recognition they receive for their work...not how known they are
  20. in my opinion it has got to be King's X...they do not get very much recognition but their musicianship goes very deep. they're not one of my favorite bands, i just feel they deserve much more recognition than they get. what about you?
  21. Pink Floyd or Rush Led Zepp too...and Journey...meh there's too many hehe
  22. But the post is not difficult to read because you are at the point where you don't have to concentrate in order to use correct grammar. I think the general problem people have is when they have to take extra time to figure out what someone is saying due to poor spelling or grammar - most people don't get irritated or comment about ridiculously minuscule mistakes. ah well the people who do are the ones that i refer to as "nazis" lol . i will admit when i come here vs. the clan sites i have to go "alright, now i gotta type for real lol" doesn't take any extra thinking or anything...just gotta put a new mindset on
  23. The problem is that you understand that type of writing no problem because you're use to it - but not everyone is. It is inconsiderate to make people work at figuring out what you're trying to say. Your teacher tells you that your papers are well written but have poor grammar? That doesn't make any sense. meaning...i conveyed my points effectively. my grammar has mistakes in the :technicalities" not with like...periods, comma use, etc. I suffer when it comes to the order of words. for example: "I have also" "I also have" which one is correct? I wouldn't know to be honest with you and this post was not written grammatically correct, nor did i try to.
