Well for Thunderous it also helps you deflect more damage. I don't think the same can be said for every boss, as Thunderous is really the only boss that will hit you with only 1 combat style that you can be completely protected against (assuming your team doesn't mess up).

Pretty much been said, but melee is always better than range/magic on bosses, with a few possible exceptions. -Necrolord, which is obvious. Range is better than magic, but since magic takes far less time to get supplies for many times it is better to just use magic. This is especially the case if you have a CSB. Better to just grab a fire staff and start maging than gather stuff for a bow and arrows. -Hex, in which case a few bosses are better to use a hex on than melee -Some bosses have practical mage methods, but since this thread is about range I'll omit them. For Night-Gazer, just melee with mage prayer on, step back when the blue bubble comes. It's simple. Range is for lazy people. For Skeleton Horde, yeah ok I suppose you could get the free healing, but melee is just so much faster it's not worth it. Besides, with range prayer on and your entire team in the boss room, you won't take very much damage anyway. Of course for Runebound Behemoth, you should range when melee prayer is up and range prayer is down, but that's only assuming you were able to make a bow and arrows quickly and without slowing down the team. Otherwise, just straight melee and hide/tank when melee prayer is up. Finally, outside of bosses, it's never really practical to range. Range supplies take too long and provide too little benefit (especially when considering magic is far quicker and better) to make to justify the use or the need to bind them. Again, assuming no hex.

It's not a matter of whether the HP is high enough, it's about maximizing the effectiveness that Wobbuffet will have. To be honest, I would still go with a 252hp spread, and if you wanted a special wall, just give it 252hp/252sp def. It's really counterproductive to give Wobbuffet defensive EVs when the only way it can harm its opponents if by taking damage itself, especially when it has no recovery. Of course, again that's assuming your team isn't based around stall.

Why give Wobbuffet 4HP? Isn't the whole idea to give it 252hp and no defense investment, so that you'll inflict the most damage possible with counter/mirror coat? Unless you're purely trying to stall, but it doesn't seem like it.

If you were to log random floors surely that would be unbiased. As long as you aren't thinking "wow I got a 15 min dung I should log that" or "I did that floor with toad I'll log that" or any other attitude that would make you more inclined to log dungeons under certain conditions. Of course logging every floor ensures that there is no bias but would logging random floors have the same effect? Might as well just log everything. If you're careless and miss a few that's ok, if that's the concern here. If you accidentally forget to screencap and don't get a floor recorded, that's really not a big deal as long as you are consistent.

I'd like to bring up something that was mentioned 2 pages back (unrelated to mod drama), about spending tokens on blazer when one doesn't have 70RC. The recommendation was to instead get t5 gatherer. Which is sound advice, and I agree, get t5 gatherer. But I'd like to add that you should also invest in blazer. Personally, I would get t5 blazer, but perhaps you might want to stop at t3 or t4. If you pick up rune drops throughout the dungeon, you should have enough deaths/bloods for at least 20-40 surges, if not more. Then you can just use some ess drops to make airs and other elemental runes and you got yourself a decent enough amount of surges. For this reason, I recommend you have a magic ring in the wings with zerker/gatherer as your quickswitch rings. Once you have a decent pile of runes, replace gatherer with blazer in your quickswitch and be ready to mage if the situation calls for it. I'm not really sure if this is worth the effort, especially since I don't know the quality of dungeoneering the person who originally asked this has, so it might be better to work on other aspects before delving into this. But practicality aside, this should be brought to the asker's attention for future use, if not immediate use.

Actually, assuming the right mix of attack and mining/smithing/herblore levels, you could smith a rapier and bind it for 2 sets of c1s, then smith a platebody and bind it for everything else. No idea if it's nearly worth the effort, since c1s are so quick already, but it's a thought.

C2 fishing is the fastest rate of raw xp at level 90+ and I believe (but not entirely sure) at 80+ as well. Just c2 all your frozen floors. If you're not interested in dungeoneering at the moment, you could repeat these 11 floors until you got your level. I'd also leave the dungeon at the boss if the boss was Plane-Freezer. It would simply be easier to leave and reset at f1 then deal with potentially back-to-back-to-back plane-freezers.

The fertile soil spell is even cheaper, saves inventory space, and saves weight. I'd honestly use it over supercompost at all times. Lunars is pro for farming anyway.

They're comparatively pretty common. I can almost guarantee you'll see one within 1-2 resets of your ring (depending on how many floors you do large). For me, I see at least 1 every ring reset (although I do f30-56).
